The biscuit recipe with the heavy whipping cream and self rising flour also makes Wonderful dough for homemade Chicken and Dumplings. I roll it out a little, pinch it off, and put it in the broth. My family absolutely loves them. I make 2 batches, 1 for the biscuits, one for the dumplings. and we call it supper. Yum.
    Great video.

Hi! I tried the biscuit recipe last Sunday. They came out so fluffy and raised. The sausage gravy went well with these biscuits. I was so pleased with the results. So, your recipe is now my go to recipe for biscuits. I’m not very techy, if I could, I would upload a photo.

I love the two ingredient biscuits. When I was growing up, my mother had a big old can of flour and she kept her big nixing bowl and sifter inside that can of flour. She would take her bowl out and it usually had a big pile of flour in it and she would sift her flour and then put her fist in the flour to make a hole to put her lard and milk or buttermilk and mix them together until she got her desired amount of mixture she wanted. Those biscuits were always sooo good. I use to do the same thing, but I’m old now and I like easy and fast! Lol thank you, Leslie for this recipe. It sure does make my life easier. ❤️

Apple butter is the best thing ever. It’s very hard to find it where I live. So when I get a chance to go to Tennessee, I’ll go to the flea market or local store to find it and buy a few jars to last me a while. It’s amazing on biscuits. First time seeing your channel wow I was amazed to find out I can use only 2 ingredients YES! Thank you for sharing with us all. Y’all have a blessed day.

I love the two ingredient biscuits. I made one mistake tonight. I happen to use bread flour instead of self rising. They still taste good but they didn’t rise real high. They are also heavier if you don’t use the right flour. But I’ve made them before with the self rising and they always come out so good and flaky and light.

Thought of you tonight, made sausage gravy & added some chopped up thick bacon I made the other day. I made a large batch of buttermilk biscuits last week, flash froze, then vacuum sealed them so I could pull a few out to bake like tonight. Hope I did you proud! My husband loved it.(I used evaporated milk for my gravy. I cook with it a lot & buy it in bulk, it’s cheaper then milk.) It’s the fat in the heavy cream that makes your biscuits so good!

Then I put them in freezer and let me tell when I take them out. Take one out it's just like I just baked them. They taste so good and so fluffy

I love these biscuits so much. Make them always. From your original video. My sister made them for the first time a while ago and she was so excited that they came absolutely perfect. I told her they would. She watched your old video in the blue kitchen. We can’t get Formula L in Chicago. To order the price went up on Amazon to around $13.99 a bag. Highway Robbery. But I will continue to make these. Thank you Miss Leslie for your video on 2 ingredient biscuits once again, God Bless ❤ 0:01

I'm sorry to bother you. Love your channel. And I absolutely 💯 percent love the biscuits from the Southern Biscuits formula l. But I'm from Texas and have been to Waco several stores Dallas several stores and Fort Worth several stores. Plus several smal towns in between no luck finding but 2 3 pound of this amazing flour. I did find out the ingredients but the other flours on the shelf just say wheat. Not soft or hard. We have a couple of Amish style stores with farm to store thing and food for sale. I thought I would go and check them out. But what I would really love to know if you could substitute buttermilk for heavy cream in these biscuits? This recipe is easy. And you can freeze them but I had to let them thaw out completely before cooking. I know you said if you use milk you need to add lard. But will you with buttermilk? It has a high fat content. Thanks and have a great Valentines day.
