Thanks Sootch.... I didn't know these existed. You've cost me some money..... Appreciate it.
That scam has been on a lot of channels ! :(
Great review and I hope you don’t take offense with my comments.
I’ve been shooting my P322 since end of April, 2022 with Holosun micro red dot.
1. I only have the 2- 20 round mags that came with it because I’m still waiting for the 4- 25 round mags I ordered directly from Sig in early May. Haven’t found a gun store in AZ that could get them either.
2. Also ordered in May, was their ambi holster which I just received today (8-6-22).
3. Stoppages were a major issue until I learned that careful mag loading is imperative. You have to make sure each round is inserted with the primer rim in front of the round before it. If you don’t do that you will not get 20 rounds loaded and you will get stoppage after stoppage. I’m surprised only one RUclips reviewer ever mentioned that. Just saying.
All in all, the P322 is a great shooter. Love it for USPSA Steel Challenge.
I personally own at least 15+ Sigs and love the product. The P365 is my EDC gun of choice and the P320 X5 Legion (modified) is my USPSA CO gun.
On a side note, you make reference to this being the highest capacity .22 pistol. My Kel-Tec CP-33 pistol holds 33 rounds in its standard configuration quad stack mag.
Thank you for all the great videos.
They are doing it on all the big guntuber channels sadly
@@Catgat37 Yes
It amazes me how this guy makes all these video's and NEVER EVER has any ammo failures. Yet others have this same gun and they have failures.
Gotta use the loader it comes with. It rim fires not center fire
@@RandyGoinHardy i didnt ask if it was center fire did i ??
And what does a mag loader have to do with the gun not firing ?? The mags have a tab to pull down to drop the rounds in ....
So once again, your comment is irrelevant to my comment.
I have a P322 (since march), and it does not like remington golden bullets(they are waxy), or unjacketed rounds. I broke it in and now has no problems with CCI, Winchester superX, or other quality ammo.
I have one as well , she’s just picky that’s all
I retired on leap day and have devoured your excellent videos!
You have been very thorough and helped me sort out what I should acquire to participate in our local shooting group. Do to agen arthritis and history of arm trauma in a bad auto wreck, recoil is a concern. After your reviews I have purchased a P 322, p365/380 (for hiking and backpacking), and a ruger Super Wrangler for shear retro fun! Love the guns and your videos! Like seeing your daughter shoot also! Her perspective was a help on recoil thoughts. Keep up your great reviews😊
Of all the gun channels yours without a doubt does the best in depth reviews, I have purchased many firearms based on your reviews and commentaries.
I have mine with the Holosun and a suppressor. Shot over 1000 rounds of Mini Mag, mostly CCI Standard and Thunderbolt. Runs great. No leading.
Got one in late Nov, have put 900 rounds through it (300 per session). Exclusively shooting CCI copper coated 40 grain round nose (target) and 29 grain Federal punch, clean after each session and have had zero lead fouling issues that others have mentioned.
I have 3500 rounds through mine in 3 weeks. Accurate and runs like a champ

Great to hear @Edward H
What amo do you use?
I second this. Probably pushing 5000 and minimal issues. If anything faulty ammo. Occasional fail to fires. Nothing out of the ordinary for .22 I have to say Im enjoying the hell out of this gun. I did do the hammer spring shim right off the bat though.
First firearm I bought was a S&W 2206 pistol in 1993. It's a .22LR too. Solid stainless steel. Even after all these years I love it! It only has 10 and 12 round mags though. I really like how this Sig has 20 and 25 round mags, and the price isn't that bad at $400, considering my S&W was $250 back in '93...
The key to shooting the P322 is - Pay attention to loading the magazine. If you load it incorrectly, you will most likely have issues! Great review! I have one of these with a Holosun sight.
Any tips on how to properly load the mags for this gun? I rented one at my local range this week and had several feeding issues. I was trying to load up carefully too.
@@johnschalk1271 Go here - Sig Sauer video covering loading the magazine. - ruclips.net/video/qzNScc8yBVo/видео.html
Best reviews in the business. Bought the P365 from the Carry Perfection video. Thanks Again! Tim
Nice review. Good to hear the P322 is reliable. Many semi-auto 22LR's are finicky and can be unreliable. I may need to get one just because of ammo prices nowadays.
Taurus tx22 reliable and cheaper.
@E 4 rounds is considered MUCH?
@@chinhphan4787 but its a taurus.
And the 322 is fouling lead like crazy and Sig is not even trying to fix them, horrible customer service!!! Sig sucks 💩🤡🤷🏼♂️
@@cluckbent6466 In this case, that's a good thing. Taurus got it right with the TX22
Just sent mine back to Sig yesterday. Under 500 rounds with mixed ammo (half suppressed) and getting about 50 percent light primer strikes.
Good review! I really like your video reviews, keep them up! Cheers from Croatia.
I like my P322. It's getting more reliable, some ammo does have occasional light primer strikes. Oddly, Federal bulk plastic containers have harder primers it seems. Federal bulk automatch however is 99.99% reliable. Aguila is pretty much perfect too. I really like mine, dead-on accurate with a RomeoZero Elite (just don't lose that TINY adjustment wrench, it's a Torx T15 if you lose it)
Automatch is decent, especially for the $22 you pay for 325 rounds at Walmart. I have encountered 4 hard primers in the last 2 boxes with the 3, 22 firearms I have gotten recently. I have had some failures with the Aguila in my Mark 4 22/45. Seems to be the wax coating on them not feeding properly through the ruger magazine. I prefer cci above all though. Have not encountered one issue with it yet, in any of the guns.
+1 for the Federal Auto-Match. No issues and runs flawlessly. Even the No name bulk ammo runs well but fails to lock the slide on the last round occasionally.
@@BoostedNDMiata Yeah it's not quite as hot as the normal Federal bulk 22 in plastic tubs. Seems to be quite a bit softer shooting, less fireball. Pretty accurate stuff, I used to think it was junk.
Just screenshotted your comment
I do own a P322, however, I find that you have to be very precise in loading the mags.
You are my “go too” when I want to see a review. Thanks.
This thing loaded up with CCI stingers would be a handy little tool.
A .22 pistol with Stingers SOUNDS like a 9mm in my opinion... definitely turns them into "attitude adjusters" : )
the mini mags are good too
Technically the Kel-Tec CP33 has the largest magazine capacity of .22lr with 33 rounds, 50 with the extended magazines. It's also a grip magazine fed pistol.
Yes but imagine trying to conceal a CP 33 ?
What I would really like to see from Kel tec is a PMR 15 or PMR 20 subcompact WMR pistol maybe even with a barrel swap kit accessory for 17 HMR .
Guns that look like they were made in someones garage by coke addicts don't count.
Is that the 22LR or is it the 22MAG.
But it’s Kel-Tec and we are discussing firearms that actually work
@@louisbabycos106 Why would you need to conceal a .22 for? No one in their right mind carries a .22 for self defense since they're horribly unreliable compared to center fire ammo and it's not ideal for self defense. Most people use .22 firearms for training or varmint control.
Great review SOOTCH thanks - can’t wait to get one
Thanks Derek!
I went into the gun store to buy a Sig Xmacro, ended up purchasing it and the 322. The 322 is one FUN gun.
Awesome sig p322 gun love to have one thanks for sharing sootch00
I love sig Sauer, and I love 22lr, but I'm happy with my Kel-Tec cp33.
Great review! Looking forward to to seeing one in person to purchase.
Great review, as always ! Keep up the good work !
Nice review/video. So far loving mine. No issues with few hundred rounds through it.
Thank YOU for another GREAT video that is informative.😁👍
My wifes P322 has been great. Couple thousand rounds and only the occasional failure to fire (Aguila 38 gr). No feeding issues when mags are properly loaded and no lead fouling in the barrel. Serial number in the 7000. But Sig can be hit or miss so take your chances.
Will let it sit on the market for awhile to see what problems develop. I really like my Sig P365, with manual safety, 9mm, 12+1 capacity, small, easily concealable, and very very reliable.
So will I, Sig reputation has not been stellar with other 22lr entries firearms in the past.
Barrel, n extraction
Sir you are a great Patriot, I truly enjoy your honest reviews God-bless thank you much
*Thank you for making this video!!*
Thanks Ron!
Thank you for quality firearm videos.
Flutted chamber is great.....helps extraction immensely.....have that on my H&K P7 .....it said that with a flutted chamber you really don't need an extractor....at least on the P7, great addition.
Great review. Watched it this morning, picked up one (with factory mounted Romeo Zero RD) this afternoon. 3rd @sootch00 reviewed gun that I’ve purchased this year.
Great, well detailed review, thanks.
Sig continues coming out with these awesome firearms. Thanks for the review.
Sig continues to put out handguns that have problems, letting the buyer do the R&D. I was looking at a sig 365, no thanks I'm going with the hellcat.
@@athe_minds_eye8484 my p365 xl has had zero failures. I’ve ran everything through it.
Sig 322 has lead fouling issues. Sig M17 has discharge while holstering issues so does the 320. I'm gonna have to pass on the sig my guy, but good luck with that. They need to step up the quality control, no excuses.
Sig has never caught my attention. However, as of late they been putting out alot of cool stuff. Im more of a glock guy but my daughter turns 10 next year and I'm looking for a new 22 pistol. This one definitely catches my attention more than the glock 44
@@athe_minds_eye8484 have you shot the Springfield? What makes you want that over the sig or the m&p?
Thanks for the review and another perspective. I have watched other videos that showed some serious problems with theirs so I think I’ll wait another year before I get one. For the time being I will stick with my M&P 22 Compact. It only holds ten rounds but it always goes bang.
10:24 I was 100% sure you would put on a giant grin after plinking all 20 rounds out but i guess the change of scene saved you. 😄 Thanks for this great review, sir!
Just bought one, and a Ruger .454 Casull. I’m a man of extremes 😂. Can’t wait to put them through their paces
Had lead fowling in the barrel of mine. Sent it in to SIG, and they replaced the barrel and main spring. New barrel had some lead fowling issues, but I have been able to manage by using only certain kinds of ammo. The plated rounds work best. Aguila has been good ammo to prevent lead fowling, and I have some CCI mini-mag to try next. Also, I just got the SIG Romeo Zero Elite red dot for it. Can't wait to try that out!
the sig looks good but my tx 22 has been flawless since day one, good video
A CZ lower with a Walther P22 upper, I like the design personally.
I received one of these yesterday from Buds and fired the first rounds after cleaning the barrel. I used Kroil and some patches then ran some Iosso bore polish with patches to give it a light polish. There was some fouling in the barrel from the factory so I started with a completely clean barrel. I loaded the magazines the way they suggest and they functioned perfectly. The first twenty rounds fired did show some lead streaks so I cleaned the barrel completely again and used the bore polish as well. I fired the second twenty rounds and the leading was less noticeable. I ran another full magazine more rapidly and lead showed back up but not to the point of excessive. I cleaned the barrel again and put it away I might try again today and run several mags and see what the fouling looks like. CCI Mini Mags was the ammo used.
Be still my heart! I dearly want one of these!
Great review- looking at getting one for my wife for home defense
I didn’t know someone gave you the p322 that explains the positive review
That was a really fun video...... little pricey , but i am liking the sig p322
I was not careful loading the mags at 1st and had several failures(rim lock). Then i loaded mags properly & it ran 100% since.
I have had mine for over three months. Shoots the best and most accurate with Aguila Super 38gr HP's.
Just got one yesterday 🥳🥳🥳
This was a super nice intro.
I own a Sig Mosquito and it's been flawless. The reason it's been so good is I Dremeled the step on the barrel from the feed ramp before I ever fired the first round through it. I think I'm still going to buy the P322 because I like the 20rd mags.
I tried the ramp polish fix on my mosquito, but it didn't seem to help. it sounds like you went a bit more extreme. I don't even bother trying to shoot it anymore, let alone train someone with it.
Never had any issues using CCI mini mags in my Mosquito , but other ammo is very issue prone. I tried the 322, great pistol. Wish we could get it in Ca.
@@mikedesilets3324 It's not just polishing the feed ramp, you need to blend the bottom of the chamber to be smooth with the ramp.
@@mikeepeck I agree polishing alone won't cut it. My Mosquito was bad with every ammo including CCI. I had several gunsmiths work on it and neither could ever get it working correctly. They never did what you did though. I considered it but was worried I'd mess up the pistol. I finally sold it but if I run across another at a deal I know what to do now, thanks !
Love to see a comparison between The Sig & The Taurus
Looks like the TX22, awesome video ✌️
Well now this was a interesting video and a very interesting and likable 22 semi auto LR pistol. I think that sig Sauer has hit a home run with this 22LR pistol and I personally have owned one since I could first get my hands on one. My sig Sauer p322 does not seem to be finicky on any 22 ammo including bulk rounds. As far as I'm concerned if a pistol will shoot Remington Thunderbolts then it's pretty much good to go on anything and sig Sauer p322 doesn't seem to mind the thunderbolts at all. I also own a Taurus TX 22 competition and that is my second favorite 22LR that I own and it hates the Thunderbolts, but it is a excellent 22LR pistol and I really enjoy shooting it as well. I think that the trigger is just a little bit better on the Taurus and that is mainly due to the awesome reset of the Taurus 22 competition.
Naw, the regular tx22 is just as good or better than the comp version
watch out for lead fouling with thunderbolt
I've had horrible luck with sig no idea why. But I really wanna give this one a shot!
Lots of uses for the 22LR!
You can find the TX 22, but good luck finding the Sig.
Nice review
Nice gun. Almost no recoil. Thanks for the video
THANKS TO NATE! Not ready to trade in the TX22 just yet. Thanks for the look-see Don!
Took my son out for his 1st time pistol shooting today after I broke it in & dialed in the red dot these last couple weeks. Had 7 mags so he had a blast. I didn't even shoot today. Just coached him for safety & made it fun. He can't wait to go back & neither can I!
My only critique is I like to give the mag a good punch up in there & doing that always releases the slide. Had to adapt to soft mag insertion then release slide however you see fit. Gonna call Skg Monday to see what they say about that.
Grand Power does this intentionally. (Maybe Sig did too.)
I actually like it. (After getting used to it)
It saves the step of releasing the slide lock. Why not chamber a round when you reload? After all, if you just reinserted a magazine, don't you intend to fire the gun again?
Good review
The Kel-Tec CP33 has a 33 round capacity. So, the Sig Sauer P322 is not the maximum capacity 22 pistol. Thanks for the review, always a joy to watch!
It's true what he says about breaking in these new semi autos I had a glock 44 and it would cycle the little agila calibris. My word
I’m gonna grab one of these!
Nice presentation👍
I’m a huge fan of 22 especially 22 Magnum
Well scoot00, really like your videos and commentary. Was excited about the Sig P322 and your comments and bought one today. Had a very disappointing range visit this evening. Major feeding issues with both magazines. The tip of the bullets kept hitting agaisnt the front side of the magazine and bolt couldn't extract the round. Very frustrating. First Sig in the collection and was not impressed. When a round did make into the chamber it did shoot OK. 20 rounds in the magazine means nothing if they don't feed properly. Comparing the Tarurs TX22 to Sig 322, the TX22 is a better performer in my opinion.
I’m gonna hav to have one of those!
Correction: Kel-tech PMR has the most capacity for 22 w/ 30rds...well 22 WMR - Thumbs up still 👍🏾
They also have a .22LR pistol that holds 33 rounds, plus you can get a mag extension for 50.
Right, but it’s a kel-tech
Kel-Tech is great if one is on a tight budget but just the appearance that it’s 2 halves that are bolted together with the bolts and nuts exposed kinda turns me off to the design. Just my opinion.
@@peterdragon6367 My CP33 is more reliable than any other .22 I've shot, runs circles around my 10/22. All my Kel-Tecs have been excellent, the only ones that have ever truly sucked are their boring ass concealed carry pistols, the ones that are actual cool work all day long.
@@hornmonk3zitruns circles around a 10/22…that I HIGHLY doubt. Awesome that you like it but the 10/22 is far superior.
Oh that is a nice pistol!
with 5.11 vest 44 oz total body carry, 4 25 round mags, 5 20 round mags making 201 with 1 in chamber, overwhelming firepower, fast rpm rate making you a one man army anywhere any place, any time
I'm yet to find anything better than the Taurus tx22 and for the money you just can't beat it thanks for the update scooch
Got mine for $169 shortly after they came out. Countless rounds thru it and still running flawlessly.
The Taurus TX-22 is a great gun and yes, the price is right. Thanks Sammy!
I ran 2500 rounds through mine without cleaning. Ran like a champ no matter what ammo I used. Just purchased one of these, hope it is the same.
AWESOME VIDEO
So tempting but my S&W M&P22 Compact with the Taylor Tactical 16+1 Magazine gut conversion with baseplate works pretty good...+ It feels great with my large hands with the base plate add on.. I do like the dry fire thing on the Sig..anyone know if I could dry fire my S&W ??
If some one would design a larger capacity magazine to fit the Mark style 22's they would have a money maker in their hands.... Would shoot my Mark IV much more if I had magazines that held more than 10 rounds that are a pain to load for me.
I agree. But don't mess with trying to double stack it. A plus 5 mag on my 22/45 would be cool, even if it wasn't flush fit.
As long as you load the mag properly this gun runs better than any of my .22 pistols.
I like Sootch00 videos. But it seems he’s the only gun tuber that doesn’t have problems with any guns🤷♂️
i have seen many bad reviews about barrel leading. i have a brand new in the box but have not fired it as of yet.
Mine did after only 40 rds
I've heard many complaints about that also
I think it was a specific serial number range I'm hoping mine is not one of them !!
This not barrel problem but feeding issue. Bullets are scratched and free lead is pusched to barrel. I've perfected my p322. Work with file - saw a entry to barell, enlarge window in firing pin to move it liitle bit further. Also put below hamer spring matal 2 mm rin to tighten slring. Now it works like a charm. No leading, no light strike, no feeding issues
Got one NIB too after all the initial glowing reviews...
This is cool, still think I go with the TX-22 comp, and a plus 4 base plate, especially with some of the Tandem goodies.but I’ll definitely give this one a try if I can find one.
22 lr is a lot of fun. It will be a great trainer for larger calibers.
Train with what u carry.
@@bikgfrruewr6003 yes sir
I have the Sig Mosquito and it SUUUUUUUUCKS!!!!! I would love to have a semi auto 22lr that is as good as my Smith and Wesson 622 was. I should have never sold that weapon.
I love Sig and have owned many…. Kinda want to get more….
Would be interesting to see a version of this gun in .22 Magnum
My first time shooting was a Daisy BB and then a Marlin single shot rifle.
The daisy helped technique and yet even today some people frown upon kids with BBguns or any type (paintball markers, airsoft, etc)...it's the fear from media...which is bs.
However, I came here to say the Heritage Rough Rider is also an excellent choice for 1st timers and one of my all time favorite plinkers. Plus it eats up any duds all day long.

To decock, u don't have to dry fire the weapon. Pull back on the slide until it stops (not all the way to the rear),Hold slide while depressing the trigger, and ease the slide down.
Good way to have a negligent discharge

Very VERY cool!!!!
Great review as usual
Have you seen any excessive fowling at the muzzle ? Ive seen too many reviews from good reviewers saying the 322 lost accuracy and they discovered fowling and sent them back to sig just to get it back and it happened again .
Also keyholes was a issue
Any keyholes on paper ?
I am on the fence about this gun because of a few factors, one i cant touch this gun. None of the gun shops i use have them , two the price even at $400 is too high in my opinion, three too many reviews saying keyholes/ fowling issues , I understand like any new gun you run into issues at first but its been some time now since they came out
I’m gonna wait, I seen the video you are referring to, sig is shady in that regard, be cool to see an xdm elite 22
How is the barrel fouling? I have one and it seems to foul more than usual but I'm no expert. Great shooter and not many problems other than that.
A lot of reviews on this pistol have noted excessive leading in the barrel. Have you heard anything about that problem.
Nice gun. Hope they come out with a subcompact that can use the 20 and 25 round mags.
Taurus already has
IDK...I had a Mosquito and feel pretty burned by a Sig 22lr....think I will stick with my Taurus TX22 which has been FLAWLESS over 3000 rounds of mostly junk ammo
Flawless? No ammo failures either?
My mosquito is a POS.
Ya, my mosquito was crap.

Maybe Sig Sauer got this one right, The last 22lr pistol (mosqito)was lousy lots of issues. But, I gotta give them credit where its due, they built an awesome 22lr Rifle with the 522. Unfortunately they stopped making them, come on Sig bring back a great 22lr Rifle.

Finally a full-sized real-actual weapon in .22 with full mag capacity. Why did it take so long?
It didn’t, Taurus actually made the best one and it’s striker fired unlike this outdated hammer fired lead fouling piece of 💩
@@22addict40 Why is a striker fire better for .22?
@@RCXDerp it hits the primer harder and at a different spot on the primer itself as to light hammer strikes by a hammer are eliminated.
