This boy has the ability to make time for himself, all great midfielders have that. His timing is impeccable, a future great.
Composure is honestly his best attribute. The kid seems so calm on the ball all the time. Which is the opposite for 90% of most young players who so desperately want to make an impact that they're kind of chaotic. Mainoo just seems calm as can be every time he has the ball.
Composure is the number 1 thing a good midfielder needs to have.

So Mainoo being our best midfielder isn't an indictment to how poor uniteds midfield is, rather see it as a standard setter because Mainoo improves the players around him with his charismatic style of play.
