Ted Hartrup it's about 3 hours total split into 6 30-minute parts iirc. I watch stuff that's long like that personally while I play games or do some sort of graphics designing type stuff in a smaller window next to it, but if you can sit through a 2-3 hour speedrun, it's about just as entertaining as one!
I think someone should learn how to do a speedrun of the Disney Princesses game for the Wii. It'd be great to watch, I'd do it myself but I don't have the time or knowledge.

The SNES version of Aladdin sucked, i was so jealous of my friend who had a Genesis (i didn't) and how much better the Genesis version was.

So, as per GDQ tradition, you can lose time (since it's a speedrun) and save the animals, or "save the frames", finishing the game faster, by not saving the animals - "kill the animals." People donate money throughout the week for the runner to either kill or save.

But not only that - the games are identical as well. When I was a kid, I had a MD, and my neighbour a SNES. I used to go round there nearly every day to play completely different games. Some people want Nintendo to go third-party. That would be a sad day IMO. They provide the alternative. These days it doesn't make much sense to buy a PS and an Xbox (although some still do). The real second choice is a Nintendo machine, to provide you with something totally different.
You do know Aladdin never had a sword in the original movie, right? If anything, that only made the Genesis version stand out as more 'WTF?' than anything else. Not to mention the SNES version has the hero being more acrobatic, which fits his thief nature far more.
