My family lives in rural wooded areas. I've considered a panel machine to do at least 3 family roofs +. All would be standing seams, but can the same machine make house siding? Forest fires in this area are a real possibility, so metal makes more sense than vinyl I've seen older metal siding jobs with paint problems, yet older roofing jobs fair better longevity! Any thoughts are appreciated, love the channel, and I've subscribed. Thank you
If you're only looking to do a handful of residential roofs, my opinion is that it would be better to have the panels run for you by a panel supplier, simply because the cost of a panel machine (especially one the makes both roofing and siding) is pretty high. However, if you're willing to give up the functionality of making siding profiles, NTM has a multi-profile residential standing seam machine called the SSR® that you could get for under $60,000. You could also look into single profile machines from different manufacturers that are much cheaper than that. You can avoid those problems by going with a high quality PVDF paint system on both your roof and siding. I hope this helps, and thanks for checking out the channel! -Thad
No, find a company that will deliver you the pannels or a chop and drop. These machines only make sense if you are running them every day and you are running a high volume business. The savings between coil and panels isnt really that substantial. I
Please make another video covering all the equipment needed to fabricate trim and accessories. Thank you Shulman Roofing
