First rule of drag racing if you KNOW it's not running right (like if you are at the rev limiter in every gear ...lol) get out of it and save the parts for another day rather then blow it up for no reason. G luck, love the fact it's a stick shift!
If the clutch would get roasted, it has to come out anyway. If clutch, then bellhousing, drive shaft, and most likely rear end too. If it’s all coming out anyway, and your trip to the track costs $2,000 in fuel and missed work opportunities, and the content capture is crucial, there’s no reason not to run it as-is for the day. Her budget isn’t a factor anymore.

Was just thinking about the clutch issues,, check out what setup Cleetus did on Leroy... He pretty much uses the clutch only for taking off and stopping but not clutch during the shifts.... Hit him up and see what he's done

We recently bought her a 1988 foxbody we are going to rebuild together and make a RUclips channel doing it. She saved me from the edge of death when she was born. I still struggle everyday but looking into her eyes and her love for the things I enjoy make life worth living. I didn't realize Emilia was deaf. Someone should tell her when the clutch slips like that there's no point in grabbing another gear. RIP clutch, it's a shame you were violently tortured to death like that without care whatsoever. As much experience as she has I'm honestly astonished that she did that.
That clutch was dead after the first hit. No chance of dialing it in after that level of abuse. Can't wait to see the carnage when you pull it out. That was full Nissan CVT mode. LOL
I think the clutch was too loose from the beginning and it got smoked during that first burnout and first pass. I don’t believe any amount of adjustments after that would have made a difference. Maybe if it was set up tighter in the very beginning it might have made it without slipping and getting glazed up. I can’t wait to see how much ET you are going to shave off with a good clutch! You may pick up whole seconds of improvement once you actual get the clutch setup dialed in! Nice work and the mustang looks awesome!
I think you destroyed your clutch on the first run. That first burnout might of over heated it maybe. But if it slips you need to lift and abort the run .

For the trailer. Make some wood wedges that have a lip the trailer door can lay on. then you can slide them around depending on the car your pulling in n out on.

@@Wopadas The laptop determined that the clutch tuning didn’t do anything. The clutch is supposed to slip and the data logs are needed to know if it slipped the right amount or too much.
It looked like you could use a taller shift lever. It was almost like you had to hunt for the shift lever each time you had to grab a new gear. It'll be nice to see it when it's sorted out.

It's good to see the Mustang get down the track, but I think you need to go full automatic transmission like a fully built T400 or something like what is used in drag cars.
Yeah the 10 speed auto's are good, and yes they did come out in the later model car around the world, but they were designed for the European market cars because of the autobarn and to comfortably cruze at high speeds like 200kmh/125mph+ and in drag racing, the less gear changes there are regardless of auto or manual which gives you more full exelaration time and better times down the 1/4 mile.
First time ive seen you, have you tried just steering with your left hand running thru the gears then putting your right hand on the wheel because to me looks like your losing time between gears putting your hand back after every shift, that way you won't redline and blat blat blat every gear just a thought much love from New Zealand

stock sealed coyote mustang like what that car WAS can run as fast as 10s NA. Stock sealed engine that came in it with just boost and fuel can make up to 1200whp and have gotten these mustangs in the 7s and f150s in the 8s in the 1/4 mile with No heads no cams no pistons no rods no opening the engine unless you want to go built motor which then you can make up to 2000hp. Plus factory ECU can get you 6s and factory trans built can get you into the 7s.manual trans deep into the 8s in the 1/4 so curious to see what this engine does

Your eyes while your driving are priceless lol. I’m not sure how serious you are about dragging that car but a slipper clutch is what all the top tier h pattern racers use, maybe reach out to tick performance for some help, they have been 6.40s with an h pattern.

This is the first vid I've watched in a few years and I see nothing has changed. "Something is definitely wrong so I'm going to keep it floored." I wonder how much engine life was killed with it bouncing off the limiter instead of lifting to deal with the clutch that is obviously gone.

Must be the kind of content that lots of people want to watch, 'cause look at how many subs and views she has. I would almost consider it criminal to destroy so many engines, except that she does so much of the work herself. Gotta respect that.
You need more gearing or final drive!! Most likely this won't be seen but I'll try to put in my .02 cents. When ever you shift it drops to 4900rpm then goes right back to 5900rpm. You either need more rpm, longer gears or a longer final drive. You need a 3.0fd or longer. And if you can rev it pass 5900rpm rev it to 6500rpm if you see any power at those levels.
Everyone loves a manual, but you might start thinking about a dog box or something simular for the the mustang. That thing is running way more torque than most street cars.
Yeah this is not a setup for a green racer it should be waaaaay rowdy but it looks weak, couldn't get any wheel speed during burnouts and riding the limiter. Can't just slap random shit together and hope it works

You have to shift faster, its hitting rev limiter...
You need more gearing or final drive!! Most likely this won't be seen but I'll try to put in my .02 cents.
When ever you shift it drops to 4900rpm then goes right back to 5900rpm. You either need more rpm, longer gears or a longer final drive. You need a 3.0fd or longer. And if you can rev it pass 5900rpm rev it to 6500rpm if you see any power at those levels.

Wow, it's very noticeable that you have no clue on what you're doing with a manual Trans. The clutch was junk after your first pass.
Everyone loves a manual, but you might start thinking about a dog box or something simular for the the mustang. That thing is running way more torque than most street cars.
It has a Tick performance T56 built for this kinda abuse and more

Yeah this is not a setup for a green racer it should be waaaaay rowdy but it looks weak, couldn't get any wheel speed during burnouts and riding the limiter. Can't just slap random shit together and hope it works

Question, are you front braking it in the burnout ? I can't remember if you installed a line lock. Seems to be heating the clutch in the burnout.
listening to that motor it is not running clean at all,and that clutch if glazed up wont do anything by adjusting it.
