With 30 grams on each finger of that clutch, it just became a very expensive non-slipper clutch. Shout out to your boy Cleetus, and more so, Zack. They went through the trials and tribulations with a slipper clutch before. Roasted one or two of em during testing too. What you want is just so much weight on the fingers so that when you get of the clutch, it just slips a tiny bit, so the torque goes to the tires fluently, and not just knocks them off the track instantly. The slipper in Leroy is dailed atm. Love the content. Keep it comming. Much love from Belgium
It doesn't help she keep nailing it on the street from low rpm. That's going to destroy that clutch fast. They should of had someone with real experience help them.
Super good feedback! This is why I love the community. It’s actually 26g per finger. I can keep trying to dial back the weight, especially as I lighten the chassis up more. Also good to note the streets hits I won’t go from a dig but make sure I wait till I’m in higher rpm.
I'd like to see them go with a Bang shift Billy. Lot less work and can basically dial in any weight to get it dialed perfect with your phone..

I believe Cleetus actually wired up a button down near his trans so he can bump the starter and move the flywheel when adjusting the weights. made it easier to check and adjust his slipper on leeroy

As soon as you come to the traps, put it in neutral. You will reduce the strain on the engine, transmission, and clutch. This is why you got performance brakes and parachutes.

you should really see if you could do a track day collab with Cleetus at the drag strip. You guys could learn a TON from him and his crew on how to get this car dialed in.

He also has multiple helicopters and an airplane, and airlines have hundreds of planes. I'm sure you've seen the giant birds in the sky... there are people in those things, and the giant birds transport them to far far away places. Pretty neat concept isn't it. Yup cleatus (Zach) got one figured out, but the manufacturer got hundreds running well, I’d lean on the manufacturer., now once it’s dialed in, I’d love to see her take a run at Leroy or even Oreo ?? She might even send a couple cars down for one of his events.. I thing it wouldn’t take much twisting her arm, to get her into burnout rivals?? And to see the boys possibly get challenged by her may be entertaining, you know James just assume leave his crank shaft on the pad rather than loose any competition involving an engine..
@@GRANITEMONUMENT Leroy and McFlurry (i'm guessing you ment him when you said Oreo.. :p ) would absolutely destroy Traitor. Leroy is a 6s car, Mcflurry runs 7's all day long. They are purpose built drag cars... I doubt it would even stand a chance against Ruby (the old setup... she's missing an engine at the moment :p)

@emeliahartford - and Sandy - The Base Pressure (BP) is what controls the slippage off the line. The Counter-weights (CW)are what control the slippage on gear changes. If you ad a ton of CW, as you have, if and when you get traction, you’ll start breaking transmissions and / or rear end. The issue with “slipper clutches” (And I have an Advanced Clutches single 8” Billet in my NHRA Super Stock AMC AMX) is there are settings for the street, and settings for the track. If you attempt to have the track setup on the street; meaning correct BP and CW for optimum performance, then you will literally FRY the clutch on the street. In race mode, these are designed to lunch at higher RPM with a fast clutch dump and stay on the throttle all the way down track. If you let off the throttle and use the clutch to shift, you break the rhythm and the clutch will slip. So in this scenario you need more BP; which will hurt the launch. Using this tune on the street you CAN NOT roll into the throttle (like your tunnels). As you have seen, it will slip the clutch; badly. And that is the problem with these clutches when operated on street and strip as the owner doesn’t want to get under the car and make changes for the street, arrive at the track and make changes, then back to street tune to drive home. And it’s not really hard to do with a small hole in the bell housing and a long allen wrench for BP and a window in the bell housing for the CW. Just most people are laze and say they wont jump on it on the street. But they do...Regarding the clutch pedal sticking to the floor, I have to question if the “ring height” was correctly set when the clutch was installed. It’s a tedious task but must be done. If you call Rob @advancedcluches he will go over all of this with you. I sent him this video to watch. He is there to help.

Great job E-Girl! What you are doing is awesome…just PLEASE be careful. Make sure u have all the safety equipment & at least 2 fire extinguishers (in case one fails). Also keep up with recharging the fire extinguishers…so many forget that. NEVER shortcut on safety and be prepared for the day that does not go as planned.

Need to take some of that weight off the clutch that’s why it’s shocking the tire so hard off the line. Or make some suspension changes to help transfer the weight to the rear tire. And money shifts happen to us all. I will say a good auto centering shifter will help. My t56 magnum has a tick performance short shifter that is a massive difference over the factory magnum shifter.

Switching the grip for the 3-4 shift was a very smart move. I think it might be time to up that muscle mass a little as could also help. You can see other drivers on the heavier shifters do similar in how they hold the shifter for that change because it uses muscles on your arms differently for that shift since it's away from you going directly back but the arm wants to pull towards the body as that's the route of least resistance.
Yes, the arm and hand roughly follow the direction of the palm - she did exactly what was needed to change quickly and safely!

I see you changed hand positioning for the 3-4 shift, thats really good.i was going to suggest that same thing. Thar will be a low low 9 or b 8 second car when its all dialed in.
i recommend cutting an access window in the bell housing like cleetus and some others have to make it a quick change at the track

Absolutely should have checked the valve train after a over rev like that. You can have a bent pushrod without hearing much difference. Some good data collection and advice from a clutch tuner will help. Also Tick now has a second gear lockout to prevent that.
