I've shot all sorts of cameras over the 20 years of shooting... and no matter what brand I try I always seem to go back to Fuji. I just sold off my canon gear and Hasselblad gear and purchased the GFX100ii system and paired it with a used X-Pro1 with a simple 23mm lens for easier travel use. I'm so stoked to get the X-Pro1 as just getting back to basics. I have owned an XT1 and XT3 and always love the images come out. Great video... What are you using to film this video love the aspect ratio of this

I recognise a lot of the things and feelings you are sharing here. I bought a a really trashed and beatup X-Pro1 about 5 monsth ago. Opened it up cleaned it and got it working as it should and I have been shooting photos more than ever. Its really a joy to work with. I pair it with vintage manual lenses, like Canon FD and Nikkor non-ai so the rangefinder part does not work as much as intended. But I was able to pic up a X100S not to long ago that I carry with me around all the time and there I use the rangefinder a lot more. Great cameras, both 16mp and I comming mostly also to jpegs for the X-pro1 and Jpg+ raw on the X100s. I am in love with the fuji look for sure. Also using the FujiXWeekly receipe app.
Hi, I have the same mood with my XE4. XPRO1 has the same mojo. Those little bricks are unbeatable, especially with the magical XF35 1.4. And they are not too intimidating people ;). Super nice video. 100% agreed.
Yup it's the 35 F1.4 when it manages to focus, it does a great job. Although I user the 35 f1.4 is my fav but I am using the 90 f2 more and more and I am getting really interesting compositions.
Great to hear about your experience w/ X-Pro1. I also own one along with other Fuji bodies and with X-M1 find myself using it more than others. I often use manual vintage lenses for the retro look. All the best.
Thank you for sharing your thoughts and experiences! Very good explanation of how upgraded equipment might not be better. A note re the X-Pro1 (and the other X-Pro models): They’re not rangefinder cameras. Rangefinders are physical mechanisms which optically measure distance, and while the Fujifilm X100- and X-Pro-series cameras have optical viewfinders, there are no rangefinder mechanisms in these cameras (instead, they focus from their sensors). True rangefinder cameras such as the Leica M-Series models integrate their rangefinders into their optical viewfinder, so it’s easy to think that the Fujifilm cameras also have rangefinders. They’re often (and more correctly) referred to as “rangefinder style” cameras due to their viewfinders being in an upper corner (like the Leica M’s). All that said, however, thanks again for this video. Now, off to watch other videos on your channel…
Great thoughts! I think you'd love the X-Pro2. It's a huge step up in performance and features compared to the X-Pro1; but, the images won't look so vintage anymore, though very up-to-date and crispy.
Very honest video. You definitely saved it for me because I personally can’t come to like people who flip cameras for a significant markup. This is especially the case when there has been no CLA or minor cleaning to justify the price increase. I just wish flippers would let those of us who are trying to get I to this hobby to do so at more reasonable second hand market prices.
BRO! same as you but i got the Xpro2 in 2024.... there is something special about this older Xpro series...so sad to hear...or NOT hear anything from Fuji on any series 4 coming out or not :(
I had the xpro1 but fell in love with the XE1 ! because of the size and the flash. Nothing beats the X-trans in these 2 cameras.

amazing video! I love the thumbnail and intro
Good stuff. Had a similar experience. Barely took out my A7 IV probably less than 200 shots. Got a cheap XT30 took 4k photos with it in two months.

I really enjoyed watching you talk about how you got here, the photography journey and just enjoying photography in general. subscribed!
Which lenses do you use, which find you "the best". Autofocus ... is more like...
Exspecillay at 12:05 min which lense is it? the 35 F1.4?
well I tried the 23mm f1.4 and didn't like it and then the 35mm f1.4 lives on it at all times.

I am not even interested in photography, but this video is so entertaining!

I have a Fuji X-E2 now, it's the best most fun camera i ever had
i've said goodbye to DSLR's
Thank man!

I shoot with two cameras. the Leica M2 and the Fuji Xpro1. Same size (although the m2 is a beast), but I love the tactile feel.
It isn't a rangefinder.
@@urbandiscount true but it's trying it's best to emulate one 😉
It is NOT a rangefinder camera!
We know. But we’re not that concerned.
We use them like happy rangefinders.
We still call them range finders. 😎
I am too lazy too watch this
Very cool and nice video
