நான் புனித ஜான் போஸ்கோ பள்ளியில் எட்டாம் வகுப்பு படிக்கும் காலத்தில் நண்பர்களுடன் அந்த கோட்டையில் நிறைய சுற்றி பார்த்திருக்கிறேன். பாதாள அறைக்குள் சிறிது தூரம் செல்வோம் பயமாக இருக்கும் திரும்பி விடுவோம் 2000ஆம் ஆண்டு கோட்டை முற்றிலுமாக இடிக்கப்பட்டு விட்டது. கோட்டையை சுற்றிலும் அழகான அகழி இருந்தது. இப்போது அதில் வீடுகளில் நிரம்பியுள்ளது. பழைய நினைவுகள்.

ஒசூர் கோட்டை மாரியம்மன் என்றாளே அந்த ஊர் மக்களுக்கு இனம் புரியாத ஆனந்தம் வரும்.அங்கு தெய்வ சக்தி இருந்த காரணமே இன்றும் அந்த இடம் பேரும் புகழும் கொண்டு விழங்குகின்றன

1984 ல் நான் Industrial estate ல் உள்ள Hi Q Electronics ல் பணிபுரிந்தபோது கோட்டையின் முன்பகுதிகள் ஓரளவு இடிபடாமல் இருந்தது நான் பார்த்திருக்கிறேன்.நான் பாகலூர் ரோடு Housing Unit ல் B/7 ல் அப்போது தங்கியிருந்தேன்.இந்திரா காந்தி சுடப்பட்டது அப்போதுதான்
