Superb sets from both John Martyn and Roachford. Bass player John Giblin superb accompaniment to Martyns echo-laden Les Paul, really difficult to lock in when there is this much delay on the guitar. Let’s not forget Andrew Roachfords very underrated band,a superb tight outfit performing great songs that still sound as good as they did 30-plus years ago.
John Martyn was so much better than that intro, sorry, loudon, "a Scottish guy"? Fucxxxing understatement of the century... Loudon the 3 rd... sigh... met an saw you both, seperately playing in Glasgow. No disrespect John is a legend...

I don't know a lot about Loudon's music, but I know he has been around on the folk scene for decades and would have been well aware of, friends even, with John. This is obviously a jokey introduction.
We take a lot for granted when we watch our favourite musicians, but imagine the stamina and concentration needed to keep that percussive, driving bass going for over seven minutes?

I agree, but whoever put Loudon W 3 up to announcing is to blame imo.
