The reason of why Half-Life 1 has a third person model, while HL2 doesn't, it's because the first game has multiplayer. Half-Life 2 didn't have multiplayer in the base game, so they didn't care adding a playermodel.

The reason you have a weird health bar in Portal is because Chell regenerates health. It's why you can pretty much get endlessly shot by turrets/lasered since you just have to wait a couple seconds to get damaged again

I remember one time I spawned those CSS weapons but they were not dealing any damage just firing bullets only. But that Golden Crowbar was recently added in the LS Update, you can find it only in the new L4D1 Survival maps, and if you find all of the 22 crowbars you get an achievement called "Golden Freeman"
Did you know that the Hopwire Vortex, was actually used in a very interesting half life 2 mod called Entropy Zero Two? They where called Xen Relay Grenades. They would suck up props like crates, decor, in exchange for loot from half life 1, like the suit charge, and also more stuff, like Xen critters.
One interesting fact the character was originally supposed to get the Annabelle father Grigori shotgun but it was then later cut and development in Garry's Mod it allows you to use the gun but trust me it's pretty useless

Old vid but I thought Id clear this up, that isn't how the chumtoad was supposed to work, thats a fan made snark replacment thats been about for years lol The way it was originaly intended, was to be slower than that, hop around and act purely as a distraction. It would give croak to alert the player of enemies, as well as hop past them to again, distract them so you could get past unawares. They were dropped because stealth isn't really a thing in HL1, even in the alpha version of the story which they came from.

I've tried to get alyx gun when I first played half life 2, but the sad thing is you can get it only when alyx dies, meaning that game will turn black, say that you let alyx die and reload your save file.
heres a better way: open settings go to advanced, enable console, afterwards do sv_cheats 1 and then do give weapon_alyxgun it will spawn on the floor and u can press e to grab it , also note that the gun wont spawn on the floor infront of u rather besides you and can clip sometimes through the floor, u can also do give weapon_annabelle for annabelle which grigori uses
You can just type bind mouse3 "impulse 101" so you don't need to open console and type it Also you forgot to put 2 on the top text on Portal part, you put "Half Life weapons" without 2

Garry's mod has a better Alyxgun, you can get it by console command or by killing the Alyx NPC. It has a different sound and you hold it normally.
