We have the same thing happening. Right now we have an uptick in the number of hummers feeding. Possibly some visitors migratting. Our resident hummingbirds guard their preferred feeders constantly, even without the extra visitors.
@@Cattitude48 I wonder if that’s what’s happening to me because usually I just have a couple that show up which is disappointing that I don’t have very many. So it’s kind of fun watching them today.
It took a couple years for us to get multiple hummingbirds feeding. The key is keeping the feeders clean. A couple years ago we experienced lots of hummingbirds for a couple weeks. Had to put more of the food out twice a day until they moved on. Last year and this year not as many but still more than our usual. Our feeders in front are in a walled courtyard and they seem to prefer the extra protection over the feeders in the back.
@@Cattitude48 I just checked the feeder on the right and the glass area just almost empty. I had filled it yesterday where glass was 1/2 full. This is the quickest for me.

That's a good sign. Ours are outside windows s9 our cats can watch.
