Your channel is well done and presents reality without hype. I do not own an RV (my sister-in-law does). However, I have extensive training and experience in quality assurance and worked worldwide. I’m intrigued by these consumer testimonials and the replies by the manufacturers and dealers. This industry will not improve until consumers stop buying bad RVs. Either the builders overhaul their companies, or bankrupt. Dealers are only in the middle; they can’t rebuild the RV and stay in business. It appears that new buyers are putting way too much faith in the warranty to solve any defects; buyers need to switch focus to the build quality as received and not have to rely on warranty service.
My brother did it, too. He said the same thing. They tried ripping him off for money constantly. Well, they succeeded here and there. They started sending him to Canada a lot, and he didn't make squat on those. He ended up stopping because of it.
Amazing.. I've talked to my wife about all these issues you are sharing with us over the last several months. We've changed our retirement plans, and will no longer be purchasing a RV. Thank you for saving us the hassle.
Sorry to hear that. Did you miss last week's video about what to buy in order to get a good quality RV? If so, here it is: ruclips.net/video/JSo5n2B62MA/видео.html
I'm thinking the same. The RV life was my retirement dream, but I don't have the skills, tools or patience to do all these repairs myself. I guess I'll stick to cruises and hotels.
The multitude of independent individual RUclips channels reporting on negative and frankly devastating customer experiences with new RVs (and shady used RVs too) has definitely caused wife and I to re-evaluate our planned new RV purchases for the upcoming summer season. Add the outrageous price increased for rigs and campsites we have decided to do a hybrid airbnb, hotel, and car camping trips. Liz has done a wonderful thing 👏 ❤️ by letting the public hear the unvarnished owner experiences-she should be commended. We have enjoyed her journey from the early Paul days. Thanks again Liz for opening our eyes goo👍
I have a friend that manages a RV Company. He says All these companies know They sale Junk! Liz, Keep up the good work, You Are Over The Target!! Force them to Sell Quality Products! Not Junk!
You single handedly are forcing the industry to take notice that they can’t get away with subpar work quality! Now there are consequences for their bottom line and now there is Liz to contend with :) they better ship up or loose business! Well done as always. Bravo!
I have to say WOW, Liz...being a lifelong mechanic and finding out that these things are hurricanes on wheels. .to find out that there are so many other people out there with the same issues across the board...we purchased our first 5r a couple years ago....2500$ in toppers installed, to which i had to reinstall myself,... had to readjust the 5r hitch after destroying a leveler on the trip bringing it home, after telling the dealership they needed to make adjustments to the hitch height with the factory lift on the truck...in which they had the vehicle to make sure things were adjusted accordingly for they had to install the hitch to begin with...lucky for me having equipment and the knowledge to save and repair the 1500$ unit...un easy to have to see the wife in tears...
I wouldn’t buy anything from Thor or any of it’s subsidiary manufacturers. Once Thor buys an RV manufacturer out, quality and customer service go in the trash. Most RV’s of today are of unacceptable quality considering the amount of money they rob from hard working people.
BINGO I read that Buffett or his minions go into an industry and buy up companies to create a duopoly or an oligopoly in order to reduce competition and control pricing power for profit maximization, hurting the consumer in the end.
My first RV was an 07 Winnebago Journey Class A Diesel. I bought it at a Camping World. This had a host of issues (3 windows wouldn't budge when trying to open (they were bent / crooked). There was an eggshell crack in the rear bumper that I noticed right after delivery, and it had a tube TV above the cockpit that rattled when driving. It took me forever to get it fixed. Camping World's fix for the tube TV rattle was to drive a wooden block above the cabinet of the TV which ended up bowing the plastic TV and cracking it. (and I found a cigarette in the toilet after a repair visit). They basically broke the TV and said that was the best they could do. Winnebago (to their credit), sent a rep and he agreed with my complaint. He sent me to a dealer in PA (I live in NJ) and they fixed everything and even re-detailed the RV and gave me a proper walkthrough. They became my primary dealer and I'd never go anywhere else for service when I owned my next 3. Tom Schaeffers in PA. These guys actually have RVIA service techs who have won competitions on diagnosing problems. I still will never purchase another one as I can't take the non-stop problems with RVs, but if you need a reputable servicing dealer, these guys are the BEST.
I had a Forest River travel trailer, biggest piece of junk on the road. Leaked in the roof from day 1. @ years in and I have to replace the floor and part of a wall, at my expense till I finally got ahold of the manufacturer, that pissed my dealer off because now they knew he was up to no good with customer service.
I will say this, the Riverstone had hands down the best initial quality of any fifth wheel I looked at. Many other brands had shockingly poor quality and craftsmanship or mechanical issues while still sitting on the lot. I walked through several different Riverstone rigs at three different dealerships and all had the best initial quality. However as I’ve discovered looks can be deceiving. Had I had a dependable and reputable dealership my experience would be a little frustrating, not the mind numbing nightmare it’s been with Unlimited. Forest River stood by their product when I made the trip back to their plant!
I bought a Forest River truck camper.. my first foray into campers and wow! I can not believe how cheaply these things are made... the exterior isnt so bad, so far... but the interior has got the be the rattiest cheapest bunch of crap Ive ever seen. The flimsiest materials all weakly stappled together.. Im constantly fixing stuff its crazy. Now Im noticing the raisable roof isnt coming down square and now sits to the side. Its a real shame because I love the idea of a truck camper but its getting ruined for me pretty badly.
I feel your pain. I got lucky, my camper got totaled during a hail storm. Thx God. I will never own another one. That thing damn near made me cry, it definitely gave me PTSD. Everything broke on this thing
All these assholes just makes you want to go back to sleeping in a tent. This first sentence was a speech to text error. What I actually said was all these hassles makes you want to go back to sleeping in a tent . Haha speech to text knows more than we think. Great video keep up the good work thank you.
I live in Kansas City and have personally had multiple campers over the last 20 years. I talk tp people all over the KC metropolitan area about 5th wheel, bumper pull campers and local dealerships. There are 2 dealerships I rarely hear good things about. Unlimited RV is one of them...
Dealers who don’t stand behind their sales should expect to be held accountable. The Unlimited RV owner’s response indicates he’s not very professional. On the other-hand, Riverstone’s factory response was very impressive albeit their re-work on the subject RV had issues.
I couldn't agree more. The dealership is a joke and shouldn't be allowed to sell to anyone. Granted it took a 20 hour round trip ticket, but Forest River stood behind their product and did amazing work to correct all the issues Unlimited RV didn't want to or couldn't resolve.
First of all...how the heck does Forest River get away with dropping that off at the dealer with all those problems? These manufacturers are a JOKE. Yes the Dealer could have been more professional but the junk these manufacturers make is unreal.
I’ve been a 35 year RV’r. 8 different rigs plus a slide in camper over that time. The industry HAS gotten worse. My current rig is a class A Winnebago gas coach. Built in May 2021, now has 36,000 miles. We are VERY pleased with the build quality. Not many issues with the coach outside of a few loose things that were fixed. Minor by comparison but we did have issues with the dealer. Substandard work on what I call accessories, accessories not made by Winnebago. Propane regulator, step motor, backup camera, dump valve, and other items we each have from one or two OEM suppliers. The industry should be ashamed not to have better QC on built and repair. Better QC from OEM manufacturers too. Was my 1996 Winnebago built better. I think so, but it also was more simple. No slides, no inverter, no cameras, no TV, etc. less to break. Once the warranty was over I never went back to the dealer.i know a small service shop that does a better job. And fortunately or unfortunately, i know how to fix many things on them. But channels like this and social media may help improve the situation for all of us. I LOVE being an RV’r, but it’s not what the industry sells you. Thank you for your videos
I bought a Class A 2 years ago that was made in 2012 by a great manufacturer. I paid for an independent inspection that found 7 issues. The dealer fixed the issues, so we were told, and everything looked good. Flew into the city to take delivery for the 3 day drive home. Left in the morning. First night we stayed at a campground. Next morning the leveling jacks would not come up. Called the dealer and they had no advice on what to do. Searched the internet and found out how to force them up. That night we got back on the road. Stayed at another campground. Next morning, one of the slides wouldn't come in. Called the dealer who had no idea what I should do. 6 hours later I figured out how to do it manually with the help of a few other campers. Later that day, I turned on the AC system. Our unit is a tag axle with 3 ACs on the roof. The AC in the bedroom in back started making a horrific noise and it seized up. Third and final day we were finally near home and it starts to rain hard. I turn on the wipers and after 15 to 20 minutes, the wiper on my side, the driver side, goes flying off the RV onto the highway. I exited at the next truck stop and bought some RainX. Put it on the windshield in the rain. It didn't last long, but we got home. Did I mention that the all in one washer/dryer also didn't work? We decided to test it that second night because I had gotten my clothes very dirty while working on the rv. A few days after we got home, my wife says I made a big mistake buying the rig. However, I new the rig was built well originally and the problems were likely due to no maintenance and a dealer who had a horrible service department. They clearly had not fixed all of the issues found. The $1,900 inspection I paid for didn't catch the washer/dryer issue. I spent about $9,500 to fix everything, with me doing some of the easier jobs. My local RV repair place did the rest. Since then, we've done 4 big trips of over 2,000 miles and a short trip of around 400 miles. Everything is working fine and we're happy. We just understand that we need to set aside $5,000 a year to keep the beast running. Lessons we learned? A certified inspector is a must before a purchase. That said, they will likely miss a few things. Next, never trust a dealer to tell you the truth. Most, but not all, are liars and they will sell you a crap RV with a big smile. Furthermore, don't buy an RV that was made during 2008 thru 2010...or 2020 through 2024. Finally, buy a roadside service plan and then expect a failure periodically. If you set aside 5% a year of what you paid for the used rig, your war chest of cash will get you through it all.
I have to say that my Geo-Pro, built by Rockwood under the Forest River umbrella, has exceeded my expectations. It hasn't been perfect but 2.5 years and 12k miles in and still going strong. I was immediately impressed with the quality of the build including the structure, cabinetry and general fit and finish. I know it's apples and oranges because this video is discussing a large fifth wheel when I'm in a small bumper pull trailer but I just wanted to let folks know that Forest River does also produce, in my opinion, some quality products. I feel for this man and anyone who has to live through the disappointment of a shoddy product, especially because we all dream of living on the road and the adventures that entails. We all know issues will occur but we sure don't expect them to occur before we get to walk across the threshold.
Liz, I had a great experience with my purchases (I bought 2 ) with McClain’s RV in Rockwall TX. They did right by us. I had horrible previous experiences with Camping World so we made sure to never do business with them. In total we have bought 5 different rigs and finally found the quality in our Grand Design.
So sorry for those who got screwed. buy used. i restored my 1987 Imperial 33 to fully working. Brake lines are critical. My brakes were "valving" my calipers under pressure due to inner lining of brake hose deterioration and plugging. If your brakes don't release, replace all flexible brake lines.
Thanks for the follow up on this rig. When I saw the first video on Darren's rig I commented that the service manager had no appetite for the problem that his team created. I also wanted to give the owner the benefit of the doubt but his initial response to Darren after you contacted him indicate that the problems are systemic and probably not isolated to this one rig. I know you are not trying to point fingers but educating folks on what questions to ask, getting an inspection and how to find a dependable dealer is priceless. I recently upgraded to a diesel pusher and thought I got a good deal from a good dealer. Turns out they didn't have the level of experience they needed to address some known issues with the Aqua Hot system and as a result, during a recent cold snap, one of the heating coils ruptured. Not only did I not have heat with the outside temps of 10 degrees (30 inside using multiple electric heaters), but I had no water! As I was already full timing in the rig, this was a nightmare week having to deal with these temps. They proceeded to hem and haw when they found out the replacement parts would cost over $2500 but they are trying to make it right now. They have had the rig longer than I have at this point. I was supposed to hit the road next week full time now that the house is sold and I am not sure when I will be getting the rig back. Keep up the great work. Many of us out here are learning from your efforts.
Thank you so much for taking the time to comment, Michael and for sharing this. And for the kind words!!! It's great to be appreciated. Have a nice weekend and see you in the next one.
Amen to this we purchased a 2023 River stone legacy and have nothing but problems !!!! What a nightmare….we drove from Oregon to Trenton Ohio to a very horrible rv dealer and picked up our rv and headed back to Oregon.. I could go on for hours but won’t. Thank you Liz for your channel wished we knew about this channel before we purchased this riverstine legacy …
I'm sorry that you think a dishwasher in an RV is a good idea. Other than that - You got a lemon. Buy used, don't trust a dealer, learn that RV'ing is a constant maintenance, repair or upgrade endeavor. I'm glad to hear that you are enjoying RVing. I commend your positive attitude after all that stuff that has happened to your rig.
Thanks again Liz for sharing my story. Amazing video as always. While Unlimited RV is NOT a wise choice when purchasing or servicing a RV, I do think that people can have a positive RV experience and enjoy the RV lifestyle if they can find a trustworthy dealer.
We bought a Columbus 2015 Re305, I was checking everything out before using, went to sanitize tanks, I found 6 leaks in the water system, I repaired them, along with other issues I repaired, I do not trust dealers. On a Komfort, we had the counter replaced due to cracking, the service people scratched the walls, hood fan and when using I discovered 2 propane leaks, they finger tightened the connections.
Have owned 4 rvs. Our first was a 1966 Airstream we bought in 1998. It was built like a tank, yet was light weight. Pulled it thousands of miles, never had an issue. All original appliances and they worked. Next 3 rvs had issues that I fixed, even replaced a floor in one of them. Currently have 2017 Coachmen 5er.
I purchased a 2024 Forest River new 6 weeks ago... took it home and three day later I heard the water heater trying to start (rig was still winterized)... took it back to the dealer (a three location dealer in our state). It has been back at the dealer for 5 weeks and the dealer is waiting for a warranty authorization from Forest River for the part.... ALSO we have yet to see our title or plates, asked the selling dealer why & was told their accountant is overwhelmed and hasn't sent it in yet.... 10's of thousands of dollars and an empty camper parking spot & no proof of ownership yet.... DO NOT PURCHASE A NEW CAMPER!!!!!
Liz, You are AMAZING and have found your calling!! Keep up the great work and keep us informed!! The attitude exhibited by Stacy toward this dissatisfied customer after the first video did not surprise me! In the previous video, I still have a visual in my mind of his “sidekick” chomping on gum with a smug look on his face, obviously not wanting to accept responsibility for anything. Can’t wait for your next video!
I bought a Forest River Sunseeker class C. I paid for inspection- they found several issues. I also inspected the rig myself and found other issues. Test everything before signing. Test drive and listen if something does not sound right ! Put your head inside all the outside storage compartments - you will find they are not sealed properly ! I found this on several different manufacturers units including the one I purchased !! Inspect/ Crawl under the RV. I’ve seen several that were not done properly including a few at Tampa RV show !!! Overall I was pleased with my purchase. All issues were resolved I would personally stay away from RV’s build during the mad pandemic surge. Manufacturers needed parts on short timeframes to meet demands and I bet corners were cut.
I had a bulge in the front underside of my 2011 Montana and discovered that the badly-designed and poorly-executed (manufacturer) support bar for the black tank and grey tank had bent over time and allowed the tanks to sag. The weight of these two tanks eventually cracked the ABS plastic and had them leak. I repaired the tanks as best I could, and then I used water-heater earthquake straps to securely suspend the tanks from the steel framing and tossed the bent bars into the trash. What reminded me of this is that I, too, found my coroplast mostly ripped off. I secured it with about 50 feet of rope until I got home.
It’s great that the manufacturer is fixing these problems however, they shouldn’t have been issues in the first place. Unfortunately, the morel of the story is ‘buy used’.. Great job Liz!
Great follow up!! I have dealt with Stacy and he alway said the right things and tries to help.. his severe department is not very good, we have been there in 3 years and it doesn't sound like they have gotten better???
"I made the correct choice with Forest River..." That made me laugh! Look at Jayco trailers made in Australia and compare them to ones built in America. Night and day...
Don't give up your dream. Consider one of the simple little fiberglass trailers. Casita, Scamp, Oliver. Not as much to go wrong, hardly any systems, no slides. EXCELLENT resale values too.
It is discouraging to hear about so many problems, but encouraging to hear about ways to evaluate and be self-protective. Thank you, Liz. I can tell this is a lot of work and time invested. Much appreciate your help.
I love this platform you have developed! I'm excited when your videos show up. People need to know about this business and they need to be held accountable. Cheers!
I'm amazed how these dealers still keep selling garbage to people, I urge people to do your homework before you take that RV off the lot, it just seems like an endless road of junk out there were the dealership is trying to unload it on to someone, another good video Liz, you stay safe out there Beautiful! It's snowing again in Montana, it does get tiresome shoveling it!
I NEVER read the good reviews on anything, I always look at the bad ones and the pictures. If someone is so angry that they take the time to share it with others, then I can trust it, because even if they are exaggerating, I lose nothing. If, however, I can handle whatever negative thing they said (like they didn't like the color, or it smelled of plastic for a few days, etc... ) then I can either purchase, find a different brand, or skip it altogether.
You are way to generous with the process and cons of your experience. I show you how to handle a r.v. purchasing and your experience will last 10 X longer than this experience, if you ever want to seek buying another r.v., call and yellow brick road we'll go; and you'll be rendering another review every 2 years for 10)+ years with smiles and grins from ear to ear. All the bells and best r.v.'ng. Continue to give he'll from heaven.
The modern RV industry is similar to the American dream which has now become a nightmare. I cannot imagine investing 1/2 million dollars into anything and having constant issues and problems and then having the dealer/manufacturer treating me like that.
Thank you again Liz for keeping us aware of the good and bad out there in RV’S. What’s the latest with the couple who had the off road vehicles with the I think Cyclone toy hauler? Thank you for your continuing your researching.
You made one Hugh statement that caught my ear when you mentioned higher end rigs as a better option. I have a 36d7 forest river motor home and lived full time in it first 2 years until we just purchased a new home, my friend has a prevost and he spend 6 times what I did, he has the same crappy dishwasher you do, same faucets, same water pump and tanks etc starting to get the point? Paying more money for an Rv just gets you deeper in debt with the same stuff as a 50,000 rig. On my 3rd forest river product and have lived full time in each. Very very few issues and I have never had to take one back for any issues. I’m no mechanic either and now 69 years old. In conclusion more expensive rig means little in the Rv industry for fit and finish.
This makes me so thankful I have a 2015 Keystone Cougar. The manufacturing quality of Riverstone is disgraceful, compounded by an incompetent dealer. So sorry you have to go through this.
Thanks Liz, for all your hard work! 🥰 Your videos are very informative. I am looking forward to hearing more about the companies that are doing things right.
You have to do your due diligence. Also get an inspection, and even that doesn’t mean you’re not going to have issues. Thank you Liz! Keep up the good fight!
Liz, you are Amazing ! I can't thank you enough for exposing everything that is wrong with the way the RV Industry has chosen to do business . I could share my own nightmares.. but would rather offer any help to keep your momentum going ! Your approach has been beyond fair when confronting and exposing things to those who have the power to make change .. Liz, you're just trying to give all of us that have been taken advantage of a voice , and all you're asking is for those in the Industry who would like to demonstrate integrity and pride .. to come forward and take a bow . .and explain when we will see change In the industry...that's a fair question . For those who don't acknowledge how wrong they have done the consumers .. well I hope they can sleep at night .. but if they can't.. give them my number to call, because I'm wide awake. Thank you again Liz .. hope to see you out on the road one of these days , I'd like to shake your hand! Todd Fox
People if are looking for RV please make sure the dealer has a good reputation also knows how to take care of customer and always look for a good brand.
Sorry for your RV problems and all the stress you have dealt with.Saying that I learned two valuable lessons about RVs my first 6 months of ownership.Number one was the warranty. After a grey tank repair that took 6 months I said to my self that I will never ever grace a dealership with my camper’s presence.I will take a loss and repair it the best I can and live with it.RVs are always going to need repairs learn as much as you can and repair it yourself. The second lesson I learned was never buy new.The warranty is not worth the extra money.I say that because I tried to trade my camper after a few months to up grade and found out my 10k I put down was exactly what it depreciated the moment I pulled it off the lot.Two valuable lessons learned.I now own it free and clear and plan on keeping it and using it till my maker calls me home. This is just my two cents worth.Keep up the videos Liz.
Hi Liz. Something to let your RV.ers know .when you take youer rig in for repairs make sure the service righter go's out to the rig to see what you need fix. Also most factory pay the dealers to do a P.D.I Pre Delivery Inspection. Any you should not have pay for a walk through If the dealer does not do a walk through go to one that will. To help people they can use a R V on there taxes as a vacation home up until the time it's paid off.
i know someone that bought a brand new mercedes rv and the whole underside was rusting. Found out by doing some research that the owner of the dealer took it to a football game in a snowstorm and it obviously was salt causing the rust. check the mileage to make sure it isn't excessive miles from manufacture. They bought it back in a hurry. LOL
Liz you are doing a wonderful job interviewing people with bad rigs. I wish you had millions of viewers as this needs to reach more people. Until more people stop buying the crap put out by the builders and I call them builders as most don't manufacture the units. They put together parts from ll sorts of suppliers. I would call Winnebago a manufacture of their named products, not the products like Grand Design that they now own and the quality has gone down hill since they bought GD. Amazing how many 5th wheel frame breaking issues GD is having. We sold our Class C and were going to buy a new trailer but so far decided to wait because of the crap being built and the crazy high prices. We may instead go back to an older coach. At this time it is a waiting game for us. Again thank you for all you are doing for the RV community. Stay healthy and Blessed.
Great video Liz! Buying a new RV never made financial sense to me. If you do buy new, expect to lose 20 to 30% of the purchase price the minute you pull it or drive it off the lot.
What is the most common thread among people who bought a new RV and had major problems? They did not hire an independent inspector. This specific case is a great example of someone who thought they were qualified to inspect the RV themselves. A proper independent inspection would have found a grocery list of problems that he didn't find until it was too late. I can guarantee that he still has problems that he doesn't even know about that an RV inspector would find.
@@LizAmazing I've never heard of these independent inspectors and I've worked in the RV industry for 25 years. There is no training or certification for "independent inspectors". You're taking just as big a risk hiring one of them and paying them for their "knowledge" as you are buying an RV. I have worked for Gulfstream the past 8 years and no one I have talked to in the corporate offices have heard of them either.
unless you're planning of full time RVing, do not buy. I have two neighbors. Both have owned RVs ever since 2003. Both of the RVs have sat unused for years. Bothe were purchased new. Neither of them had the issues of todays RVs because they were bought years ago. If you have the urge, rent one for a couple weeks. Then if you must but, get one built before 2018. And for heavens sake, get it inspected by two competent inspectors. My current RV is a Best Westen... no, the hotel chain. For the price of an RV, i figure i could spend about a month a year in a hotel for the rest of my life.
@@happycamper1372 That’s if your glamping . I’ve never in my life paid those kind of prices. I only go to state parks, COE , National parks . I’ve been camping for over 65 years and never went to a RV resort! Not my cup of tea ! Lol
Thanks Liz :) I just 'knew" Darren would be one of your videos, having read his ranting about the problems with the rig and the dealer. Also knew he was initially pleased with Riverstone's response and actions. I think he was right, the QC is sadly lacking and the build quality is less than it should be. I hope Riverstone gets their 'stuff' together as I am ordering a new 2024 from them. Different dealer!
You’re doing a great service to the general public. The RV industry has used their money, power & influence in a way that has become genuinely harmful to the public. It should be nearly impossible for a company to produce such a bad product these days yet there are certain industries that have flown under the radar. RV manufacturers have created a monopoly, buying up every new & decent competitor, so that the quality of their product is irrelevant (or at least not harmful to their bottom line). Consumers MUST revolt or NOTHING WILL CHANGE!!!!! If consumers stop being impulsive & ignorant, the manufacturers will be forced to care about quality. As long as consumers continue to buy crap, manufacturers will continue to make CRAP! The moral of the story is that buying any of the 98% of RV’s is a nightmare that WILL HAPPEN! Couldn’t pay me to own an RV made since 2020. Greed has destroyed an industry with tremendous potential. RV’s could have been a solution to the insane housing crisis facing our country. Instead it’s a pipe dream because of GREED!!!
Yes, definitely do your research. Not a good time to buy new, but trailers and fifth wheels built in 2018 and before tend to be well-built. The motorhome sweet spot is 2002 to 2008. Whatever you buy, join the Facebook group of the model to get the scoop from owners. And always get an inspection. Another advantage of buying used is the seller has typically gotten the kinks out. Thanks for watching. For more about what to buy used see my recent video: ruclips.net/video/JSo5n2B62MA/видео.html
Hey Girl, Gary from Kansas here. I love your videos! I could look at them all day. Like I tell you every week...keep it up with these videos. You are making a difference. Girl. See you at next week's video.
That's why we went with Airstream. They only sell and service Airstreams. Our Bay Area Airstream Center is great. The only major problem we had in 7 years was the macerator broke. We bought and replaced it ourselves because we didn't want to wait for the appointment a month later.
Thank you Liz for bringing this to us. I think I would demand my money back. I know they don’t want to give it to you, but with all these issues it’s a danger to even drive down the road. Blessings.

A big hug to you, Liz!
You have been given great purpose in this life!
May God bless you always.
Liz. I enjoy your channel. Looking at getting a used RV. Appreciate your channel.
As a retired rv transporter i have always said. "If you seen how these trailers we're manufactured you would never buy one".
I’m sorry to hear that people are giving up a dream of RV’ing in their retirement years. We’ve got a TT and have been happy with it.
We’ve had a fifth wheel for seven years. Not one problem.
Bravo!
As always, thanks very much for being in my corner, Bernard!!
Yep Thor and Forrest River are the worst I read about on RUclips
Unfortunately Forest River has had a long standing reputation for lack of quality.
Them and all the others
Do some research. Forest river is an umbrella company. They have a lot of good products.
@rob3812 and literally everything they build is junk
I feel your pain. I got lucky, my camper got totaled during a hail storm. Thx God. I will never own another one. That thing damn near made me cry, it definitely gave me PTSD. Everything broke on this thing
Older ones are definitely better. Newer ones are not so good. Thanks for watching.
Thank you so much Liz for calling out the RV industry. No one else on the You Tube platform is doing that. You go girl!!!
Steve Lehto, attorney at law, addresses this topic.
All these assholes just makes you want to go back to sleeping in a tent. This first sentence was a speech to text error. What I actually said was all these hassles makes you want to go back to sleeping in a tent . Haha speech to text knows more than we think. Great video keep up the good work thank you.
I am retired now and was thinking of buying one but thank God I found this channel first. I don't know why it popped up on my feed but it did 😮
I live in Kansas City and have personally had multiple campers over the last 20 years. I talk tp people all over the KC metropolitan area about 5th wheel, bumper pull campers and local dealerships. There are 2 dealerships I rarely hear good things about. Unlimited RV is one of them...
Thank you for saying this. I have been hearing the same as well.
Don't make em mad, they'll just file Bankruptcy on you 😡.
Thank you so much for sharing your experience, Anthony. Wise words, too! I sure appreciate your support. See you in the next video!
Thank you for sharing about your Geo-Pro, happy to hear some good news!
And I hope you get your rig back soon, what an ordeal!!
Liz Amazing continues the march !!!! We shall overcome, someday. Keep on keeping on👍🥰🌹🎶
Thanks so VERY much for your support, Charlene! Big hugs to you!!
Im sharing the video with All social media!!!
Sounds like you should have picked a better dealer and hired a certified inspector before you signed on the dotted line.
I don't have an RV nor do I ever intend to purchase an RV, but this is one of my favorite channels. Liz Amazing is indeed amazing.
Thanks for this, and for watching Kevin!
Thanks again Liz for sharing my story. Amazing video as always. While Unlimited RV is NOT a wise choice when purchasing or servicing a RV, I do think that people can have a positive RV experience and enjoy the RV lifestyle if they can find a trustworthy dealer.
You are so welcome, Darren! I know your story and advice will help many people! My wish for you is better days ahead with your RV!
Hang onto that Coachman. Things really started going south after that. Thanks for watching.
I was going to buy one as a home, at this point I’ll just buy a van and convert it myself
Liz,
You are AMAZING and have found your calling!!
That is a wonderful critique!
As soon as that "Munter" referred to his Colleague
as "Sidekick "The true Character is revealed.
Great video. This guy seems very authentic and genuine. Totally believable.
It's very clear to all that if the manufacturer gave a crap about quality, a person might not have to deal with all these issues this early on.
All issues were resolved
I would personally stay away from RV’s build during the mad pandemic surge.
I won’t buy another RV -Just going to keep the wheels going on our current Motorhome and either it or us will wear out first 😂⭐️🚌🇺🇸
Perfect!
Liz, we love what you're doing. Thank you! - We're on our 6th rig in 55 years.
Nice-looking rig. I hope you’ll soon be able to enjoy it with ease.
Do a Google review!! It's better than a review at the dealer itself.
"I made the correct choice with Forest River..." That made me laugh!
Look at Jayco trailers made in Australia and compare them to ones built in America. Night and day...
Thanks Liz, for raising awareness and all your support. 😊
Thanks for watching! I sure appreciate you cheering me on!
Liz keep up the good work. Thank you
Thank you!!! I sure appreciate your support!
Midway RV in Grand Rapids, MI is excellent. This recommendation is from an experienced RV’r full timing for 5 years.
Powerful videos. I am rethinking full time RVing.
Don't give up your dream. Consider one of the simple little fiberglass trailers. Casita, Scamp, Oliver. Not as much to go wrong, hardly any systems, no slides. EXCELLENT resale values too.
Thank you for sticking with this story and covering it.
Great job Liz!!👍👍
It is discouraging to hear about so many problems, but encouraging to hear about ways to evaluate and be self-protective. Thank you, Liz. I can tell this is a lot of work and time invested. Much appreciate your help.
Thanks for being here, Deborah!
I love this platform you have developed! I'm excited when your videos show up. People need to know about this business and they need to be held accountable. Cheers!
I’m shopping for my first travel trailer. And I’m definitely not buying new. I’m searching for pre-2020
No way I would buy a new or newer RV. Crappy materials, terrible workmanship and absolutely corrupt dealers………miserable……
Yep. Last week's video was about that and about which well built used RV to shop for. Thanks for watching.
They do look awesome though... great graphics
What a freaking nightmare. I live in Kc ,I'll keep all that in mind. Shame on them
I knew a friend some 30 years ago who solved all his issues with his new RB by setting it on fire and that was the end of his problem.
Wow, that's sad but understandable.
I wanted to buy a small toy hauler a couple years ago, but had serious concerns about quality and service. Really glad i didnt.
We were looking at a Riverstone Legacy. Now, eyeing Jayco Pinnacle again.
I don't blame you. Thank you for watching.
Thank you Liz for this series. I think YOU are going to be the catalyst that changes the RV industry. Keep going!!
I know it. I sure hope the RV industry wakes up and decides to do right by their customers.
@@LizAmazing Oh they will and it will cost even more to buy one. This is all corporate greed
The biggest problem is entry level junk from Forest River
Build your own you will save a lot of money!
Thank you for going to bat for all of us! I'm super grateful amazing lady!!!🌺
Thank you again Liz for keeping us aware of the good and bad out there in RV’S. What’s the latest with the couple who had the off road vehicles with the I think Cyclone toy hauler? Thank you for your continuing your researching.
Thanks for asking, here's an update on them. I hope to have more in the future, stay tuned: ruclips.net/video/MtnjxoljNa4/видео.html
You should interview Rich and Sons RV in Grand Island, Nebraska. From sales to service they do it right.
I'm surprised Prevost has the same dw, faucets, water pump etc. I know that's not true at Newell.
This makes me so thankful I have a 2015 Keystone Cougar. The manufacturing quality of Riverstone is disgraceful, compounded by an incompetent dealer. So sorry you have to go through this.
Thanks for your kind words, Chris and hang onto that Cougar!
Thanks for your support, Mike! Have a good weekend!
Have been thinking about an rv for years , but would not buy new. Will restore an older one
Thank you for sharing these valuable lessons!!!
A great follow up, I hope this night mair comes to an end so he can begin to enjoy that beautiful RV. Thanks Liz.
Liz I find it best to find a good mobile RV tech and they will tell you what up with your rig.
That's a great tip, thank you!
Hire the guy to fix something and give him a tip, then show him a few other things you want to get repaired and your off to the races, wake up people!
I love early Friday evenings. Another great video. I hope he gets to enjoy the RV and the defects and terrible workmanship are behind him.
Thanks Dan!!! So glad you are here. Big hugs and have a great weekend and thank you for your kind words.
So sweet and big hugs to you!! Poor quality just pisses me off huge as it shows such a lack of caring. Love how you care about the folks.
Great job try checking out Grand Design customers with frame issues
i know someone that bought a brand new mercedes rv and the whole underside was rusting. Found out by doing some research that the owner of the dealer took it to a football game in a snowstorm and it obviously was salt causing the rust. check the mileage to make sure it isn't excessive miles from manufacture. They bought it back in a hurry. LOL
Like you, Liz, I am so glad I bought an older, well-built motorhome.
Me too! The safest way to play.
Exactly this! Thanks Mike!
Yes, it's definitely a good reminder to get an inspection. Thanks for this!
The campground rates are ridiculous too. On top of a $100,000 RV you have to pay $80 to $100 to park it for less than 24 hrs.

That’s if your glamping .
Great follow up Liz I hope he’s getting everything taken care of see you soon 😊
Thanks Corey, sounds like Riverstone stepped up for him. Thanks for watching
@@LizAmazingGood Job Liz, your a strong person!
Exactly this!!! Thanks for being here!
Lesson learned. When buying a huge RV that involves a lot of money, pay for the inspector! Thanks liz!
Great video Liz thanks so much for sharing your videos with us. Together we all can make a difference, and you have proven this.
Great video Liz and I really like how more and more people are realizing the Importance of an inspection!
Yes. It didn't used to be a thing but now it is!!! Thanks for watching and thanks for all you do, Debbie!
Considering a liv Rv. Concerned about having issues.
Thanks for checking in Gary, big hugs to you!
Liz is the only good thing about the RV industry, go girl
Thanks for the support, Curtis!!
@@LizAmazing your welcome, just gave you a like, please keep up the good work
Buyer beware before buyers remorse. We all get suckered with crappy quality on what we buy.
That's why we went with Airstream. They only sell and service Airstreams. Our Bay Area Airstream Center is great. The only major problem we had in 7 years was the macerator broke. We bought and replaced it ourselves because we didn't want to wait for the appointment a month later.
didnt Thor buy out Airstream?
Thank you Liz for bringing this to us. I think I would demand my money back. I know they don’t want to give it to you, but with all these issues it’s a danger to even drive down the road. Blessings.
Thanks Taylor, sure appreciate your support and kind words!
