I’d been in love with Linda for almost 10 years by this concert and thought what stones she had performing at a penitentiary in a babydoll dress and Maryjane shoes
Awesome performance of this song but I saw the whole special and it was just weird🤪! Great performances from everyone but to have Linda perform in front of those prisoners looking smoking hot had to be brutal for them. I’m surprised they didn’t rush the stage! Linda’s voice is phenomenal!!!!
Guards were around the room holding rifles at the ready. More for show than actual need. But actually, most prisoners by far, are respectful men, and would never do such a thing. Normally, even these prisoners would be well-behaved in a public place. They just committed some crime and happened to be the one who got caught. For some reason, people tend to see prison inmates as total insane animals, constantly acting out. Don't get me wrong. There ARE a few who DO constantly misbehave, are violent, and are lifelong troublemakers, but the vast majority would be perfectly behaved under these circumstances. Most of those prisoners were there for non-violent crimes. Watch her Silver Pins and Golden Needles performance from this same concert and watch how she works the crowd with her dancing. She knew PRECISELY that she was giving the men a rare treat. She was a total master singer and performer.
@@centerice What a load of nonsense! These inmates "earned" their way into a state prison by being convicted of serious crimes or bad behavior at county jails. They had a riot the year after this performance because some inmates at the end of the chow line got offered bologna instead of pork chops.
Linda helped him when he wanted to go on a solo career. Two big hit's, Thank You For Being A Friend (yes, that one. used by the tv show Golden Girls), and Lonely Boy.
400 convicts in an audience at a state prison and nothing between them and that gorgeous body of Linda's except 11 ounces of blue cotton. Doesn't the constitution forbid cruel and unusual punishment?
So she is just starting her career and singing "You're no good, you're no good, you're no good, .... baby you're no good" in front of prison cell mates that I'm sure are just starring at her great looks and other assets .... watch at 1:14 - 1:18 of video. She is overwhelmed with the imprisoned eyes just prying into her soul. WOW is right
She wasn't just "starting out her career" when this performance took place. She had already been recording for over ten years. "You're No Good" was on the eighth album of hers that had been released up to this point in time. Three Stone Poneys and five solo, although by the second Stone Poneys album it ws clear that she was the group, herself, as many of the tracks are just her with session musicians instead of the actual band members. Chronologically, "You're No Good" would be her 14th release as a single, but with "So Fine" and "Sweet Summer Blue and Gold" she is just singing harmony with the two guys in the group. "One for One" is the first single where she is predominately featured.
Wait what singing in a prison woah ok that's Medium concerns hottest concern is Linda is dressing like Dorothy: There's no place like home she taps her red shoes except Dorothy is not wearing red shoe this its sandals or high heels
I'm gonna guess that only prisoners with spotless records inside, no violations, good attitude, were allowed to attend these concerts as a special reward for good behavior. They're not going to expose civilians to the hard-core violent felons.

singing a song called Your No Good to prisoners. Well done, Linda Ronstadt!
Long live Linda Ronstadt. My high school crush.
The definition of a "captive audience" and "hardened" criminals!
I'm glad this clip is once again viewable!
Needs to be in 4:3 though
ICONS FOREVER and Ever🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
Thank you very much. Philadelphia USA 🇺🇸 Nostrovia ❤❤❤
Linda is a Force of Nature. And she can’t be topped.
Isn't that truth! She is the very best of my generation!
Wow miss Linda sure gave those guys something to think about....how adorable and talented ! 💐 💕 👼
Amazing, close up of her mouthng, "Wow!"
This is interesting. Linda Ronstadt? state prison? you're no good? just wow.
Wow these guys were already serving their time. Why punish them more by dangling a young Ronstadt in front of them? Cruel and unusual punishment.
Yessss her exposing those legs to those guys making em crazy for sure
The song choice itself is interesting.
😅😅😅
This is fantastic.
On every level possible.
ICON FOREVER AND EVER 🇺🇲🥂🦚🦚🦚🦚🦚🦚
Woah!!! What a song to singin a state prison!!!!
Singing "You're no good!" to a bunch of prisoners. Interesting song choice.
While dressed so sexy the way linda was
This is her band musically and artistically at it's absolute zenith. Just "tight" as hell as they say in bands.

That band rocks. Andrew Gold on guitar...top notch and a big influence on her.
Linda helped him when he wanted to go on a solo career. Two big hit's, Thank You For Being A Friend (yes, that one. used by the tv show Golden Girls), and Lonely Boy.
She’s fearless. At a Prison.
Brave girl.
And now we know why the famous Tennessee State Prison riot occurred.
Great performance.
Andrew Gold's guitar solo at 1:25 could simply be called "1970s guitar sound." RIP to a true, master instrumentalist.
Her voice omg
Beautiful woman, I hope her health is okay now
The guitar player is crazy good, the perfect chops.
Telling criminals they are no good!
"And now, inmates will return to their cells for a 15-minute break to violate themselves, before the concert continues."
Lol sure
5 minutes would have probably been enough time.....
Facts !!
LOL, there weren't many teen boys who did not have a crush on her in the 70's.
Singing this song in a prison is hilarious...HAHA!!!
Perfect.

It was 12oz now don't be too critical.
This was females could sing dance a great tunes😊
Did Linda Ronstandt mouth "Wow" at 1:15
Linda sang so well that the prisoners eventually stopped looking at her legs.
I thought her short dress was gonna catch on fire from all the hard stares
GO MILITARY🏥🪖🇺🇲🌎🕊️
Richie Hayward on drums RIP

Good eye. Missed that until you pointed that out.

She was starting her career in the mid to late 60s.
That's really funny
Did you see at 1:17 she turned and looked like she mouthed the word WOW ? Wonder why?
You meant 1:17. I am guessing either a band mistake or some clown in the audience/security.
@@gracedv yes 1:17 😂 could be.
She more then likely looked around and seen an inmate or two playing with their peckers and couldn't quite figure out why
She is just digging the band. Nothing to read into.
Anyone know who sang background for Linda? I could swear the girl on the right side looks like Emmylou Harris...
The men in this comment section are acting worse than the prisoners.
Agreed 👍! I thought the same thing 😆
Yep...I am a guy and agree. Linda's talent is what grabs me. But, I admit she is cute and has great legs 😏
This was 1974. Not 77
She sang more than just this song there, but this one freaked her out a bit.
Wait what singing in a prison woah ok that's Medium concerns hottest concern is Linda is dressing like Dorothy: There's no place like home she taps her red shoes except Dorothy is not wearing red shoe this its sandals or high heels
1974.
LMFAO She sang "You're No Good" to prisoners? Ouch.
praying medic
FORGET ABOUT HER GREAT SONG...LOOK AT THOSE LEGS!!!
I'm gonna guess that only prisoners with spotless records inside, no violations, good attitude, were allowed to attend these concerts as a special reward for good behavior. They're not going to expose civilians to the hard-core violent felons.
I'm sure the hard core criminals were not allowed to be there
