I think there is a lot of PB in RS in general. I recall an interview he did early on where he said that Cassie encouraged him to play the character more like himself ... like he would be when he was home with the family. And Pierce has said that he prefers to have a strong woman in his life. Laura was certainly that for Steele, as well.
By the way this is BH's wife, not some man fantasizing about PB!! And actually the scene starts at 2:06 not the end-don't really watch may you tube things

I still remember seeing that episode as a teenager. I rewatched it tonight. I loved the way she was comforted by him and he said he wouldn't have been able to ask her tonight. He was loving and reassuring.

I loved this series but forgot the love story that came with it. Will have to find it to watch again. Hopefully it's streaming somewhere.
