In this video I review using a $1000 gaming laptop found at most major retailers including BestBuy. I cover the technology in the HP Omen 15 laptop including the Ryzen 7, RAM, and features. I show a close to real time demonstration of how well the laptop performs with Adobe Premiere, including an export of the project. Please note that two things impacted performance is that I did upgrade the RAM to 32 GB, but it is at 2400MHz which is not matched to the processor so there is a slight slowdown. Adobe Premiere also did not get a chance to finalize the updates and with me using it consistently now it runs more efficiently. This video took 14:33 minutes to export at 4k.

Here are the PROS and CONS.
PROS:
- Well known brand and high value warranty.
- In budget. Seen priced from 999.00 to 1300.00
- Discrete graphics 1060ti graphics card. Premiere runs faster on discrete graphics vs. integrated graphics.
- Great size, weight, and design
- Upgradeable. Most other brands in the class have a max of 16GB of RAM capability.
- Loads of features, please make sure to update the graphics driver with production not gaming drivers.
CONS:
- Limited availability of RYZEN 7 chipset. High demand, low inventory
- No touchscreen
- Fan noise can get loud if running at full capacity
- Matte black finish picks up a lot of fingerprints
