A good cutting knife is an indispensable utensil for any kitchen, but would you pay so much money for a knife made of Damascus steel? Tell us in the comments!
These knives are beautiful. I checked their website. Most knives are about $500, with the highest specialty knife costing $8,700 USD. (Although it sounds like some of the ultra speciality commissioned knives could cost more.) I wonder what type of HRC rating their knives have? Right now I'm using mostly Miyabi Black knives, made in Japan in Seki city, the ancient Japanese sword-making capital of the world. These definitely are worth considering for a future purchase.

I know this comment of yours is 9 month old. Still I stumbled over the hardness info on their web page. It's 58-60 hrc.

Cool!
A knife handle made from mammoth ivory 0_o That must be one of the five figure knives.
