  • Indigo blue-printing is a practice of dyeing fabrics that has a long tradition. White patterns are created on fabrics dyed blue with indigo. Today, there are just a few indigo blue-printing workshops left in Europe. We joined two Austrians who belong to the last of their trade - Miriam and Joseph Kóo are holding up the family tradition by working with indigo blue-dyeing. They show us how they create charming, timeless textiles by hand. In 2018, indigo blue-dyeing was added to UNESCO’s Intangible Cultural Heritage list - rightly so, we think!
