    ABOUT BEARDBRAND
    Beardbrand is a men’s grooming company that focuses on beard care. We are changing the way to society views beardsmen by shifting beards to a more neutral to positive connotation. We post new videos every Thursday and would love your subscription. Beard on!
    Beard grooming doesn't need to take all morning. Jeff shows us today how to quickly and easily take care of your beard and have it looking it's best with minimal work.
    To use this technique all you'll need is a comb, boar's hair brush, and a little bit of beard oil. You'll start with a clean, wet beard and use the comb to detangle the beard. You can start with a wide tooth then move to a finer tooth comb. After that use a boar's hair brush to brush through the beard and have it follow the neck line. After a good brushing, then your next step will be to fluff out the beard with the trick being to go both sideways and up and down.
    Finally you'll want to lay down the beard. The key to this movement is this time you won't follow your neck line. Essentially you'll go in a straight line from your cheeks down to the ground.

      Proxeh I went 29 years of my life without growing a full beard because I was always tentative about whether or not I could go full-beard. Had a goatee, went back to baby face, and even a mild "2" setting face cover. Various stages of facial hair acceptance before I realized I could pull it off and then stopped giving a fuck over whether or not I could do it, and just did it.
      When you get to the point where you can grow facial hair in full, test it out in stages before you get to somewhere you are comfortable with. Just know that once you're bearded-out, you'll have a hard time going back to babyface. You might have to trim it off in stages to prevent system shock (lol).
      Best of luck to you, fellow beard enthusiast.

    You really do ave a fantastic beard! ......I've had a beard for many years now, but have never been able to have a very thick bushy beard all over. It still looks good but is thinner in one or two areas. How can I encourage (if this is at all possible) it to grow abit more densely in the areas it looks slightly thinner? The weird thing is that I have thick hair, yet haven't managed to ever have a thick and very bushy beard. I guess you can't have everything though! Btw, great channel, which I've only now discovered.

    Jeff and Eric, can you please make an episode just talking about your beards? I'm growing mine out at the moment (19 weeks unshaven so far) and it would be nice to hear what encouraged you guys to start growing, to keep growing, your experiences of having a beard and peoples reactions to the beards etc
    Thanks!

    Jeff is pretty awesome. I really dig his look. My beard is getting there (It just turned 6 months old) but I am having problems letting my mustache grow. I can curl it and it looks good but I think It would look better if it was like Jeff's or Eric's. I've just been too afraid to let it get past the awkward stage of being in my mouth here and there. Now that mustache wax is a regular part of my day, I hope I can grow it out and the wax will help my problems. Thanks for the advice and videos!

    • @Beardbrand
      @Beardbrand  9 лет назад +1

      Devin Hull Ya, the biggest challenge of growing a beard is probably the mustache. Somedays it really sucks; but 95% of the time it rocks to have. Good luck growing and wax will help out a bit.

    I have a very simple but important question: How often is recommended to wash the beard? Can I damage it by washing it daily?
    Awesome beard man!

    • @C4rnal063
      @C4rnal063 8 лет назад +1

      +heroesytumbas Maybe you got an answer to that question already since you posted this comment 4 months ago. But washing your beard with beard wash/beard soap everyday is NOT recommended. Just like with the hair on your head, your beard gets dry when you use soap/wash on it and it can damage the hairs (Because even soaps that are made for beards contain water, and water makes the hair dry). If you dont spend your days in dirty environments (eg. if you dont work with something that makes you dirty or makes you sweat alot) only wash your beard with beard soap 1-2 times a week. IF you work with something that makes you sweat alot or make you very dirty you can wash it 3-4 times a week and then use a little more beard oil than you usually would. Dont forget that even on days when you dont wash it clean, you should rinse it with warm water EVERY morning to get dead skin and residue out of it :)

    • @heroesytumbas
      @heroesytumbas 8 лет назад

      +C4rnal063 Actually you were the only person to answer, thanks a lot! Luckily I was washing it just once a week with coconut soap. Didn't knew rinsing it with just water was recommended, but i'm guessing i should apply beard oil afterwards to avoid the dryness water will cause? Thanks again.

    • @C4rnal063
      @C4rnal063 8 лет назад +1

      heroesytumbas Yes exactly :) Keep washing it once a week with coconut soap, and for the rest of the week just rinse your beard with warm water every morning and then apply beard oil afterwards (And also after you´ve showered, if you dont do that in the mornings). One more tip, dont apply the oil on a soaking wet beard, dry it a little bit first with a towel, leaving the beard a bit damp and then apply the oil :)

    What do you do for side burns? Mine are kind of wispy, do you trim them and just keep getting more undergrowth or do you just keep maintaining and pushing them down?

    Hi all: I'm Neil her widower. After she left me fending alone I decided to just let's grow whatever still grew.Spending our days here at Bali, I'm still surrounded by our native carers. Today, and after a year went by, they see me as a hairy old bull.
    Since I discovered 1 minute beard grooming on "You Tube" however, they seem to have become somewhat more respectful. There is only a kind of nuisance during breaky when I spoon feed my selves with cooked oats. One or sometimes both of the handle bars taking a free ride and getting stuck between my teeth. Worse still if my two eggs and bacon are on the menu.
    Ah well there is always a hand basin near.

    I've just started growing a beard for the first time and went to get a trim for the first time last week. My hair goes straight down from my side burns and comes back under my ears, the barber clip back the bit coming back under my ears to the same distance as my side burns and cut too much off underneath. The stubble has returned but will take time to grow in. Do I start again or keep it going?.
    Great video's, great tips. Advice would be much appreciated.

    @Beardbrand @The Buon Life I see Jeff use that Boar's hair brush in a lot of his videos, including his comprehensive beard styling video. However, he never defines where he got it and you guys don't make an oval one like that, nonetheless one of that stature. All oval ones I have ever seen (and owned) are far smaller. I prefer an oval brush like Jeff and really wish you guys would make one so I could buy it (but am considering one with a handle from you guys, too, but it makes me wary in that sector of your business when that's all you manufacture and sell, so could you do us a favor and tell us why only those? I'm certain you have reasoning. I have asked this privately before and didn't get an answer). And not just a pedestrian one like the rest of the industry, but an epic one like Jeff's. Or, maybe a smaller one and then a larger one like Jeff's, just like you guys have a travel brush and a large brush with the handles (and a round brush too). What about love for the homies who need an oval one? One of your own homies uses some epic unique one he got from who knows where in his videos. Hook us up! In the same manner that you guys started everything else up and expanded: necessity is the mother of invention, after all, right?
