- My car is cursed, or maybe it's just me.. We were so close to driving our Subaru Legacy GT project and moving forward with E-tuning, and then we ran into more issues. I guess It's been an interesting last 2 weeks to say the least. I think we're finally back to normal after my computer, phone and car all pooped themselves. We'll be getting the car up and moving and starting our E-tune in the upcoming videos!

Definitely worth getting a backup drive to avoid more computer fun. Good to see Mittens driving. Love the sound of the blowoff valve. Cannot help but bring a smile to you face.
Keeping secondary files on an external drive from now on for sure. I do love that noise 😅 kind of fun having the classic subie rumble as well, this is the first subaru I haven't thrown equal length headers on.

Turbo flutter is way too addictive, man, super fun noises. I'm actually surprised to hear it on that setup as I would have thought the spring in the GS BPV would have been softer like one would expect for a stock replacement unit.

Yeah it has a stiff spring so it creates a lot of fun noises. I think it may have been accidental honestly, but you can't go and release a v2 that sounds boring now so i think its here to stay 🤣🤣

Need to get a little better angle I think. At some point I'll get a large suction cup for the main camera to be able to get some nice driving vids. Flutter is addicting for sure 😅

Can't wait to drive my GT again, currently replacing CV axles and wheel bearings on the front. I can't seem to get the axle in all the way inside the transmission, not sure if its supposed to click. Test drove it, now I hear clicks on every turn. Wheel bearing took me awhile to remove cause the rust.
Just can't get rid of that grinding/humming noise above 40+ mph. 🤷♂
Thanks man 🙏 I'd double check you don't also have a rear one going out, they're all pretty common on that chassis. The axle normally makes more of a dull clunk when it seats, but they cab be a pain sometimes if the clip is being dumb. The clicking is normally the outer cv assembly so I may recommend double checking that.
@@MatlasDI Sounds good will double check the work, thanks Matt. Haven’t got a chance to do the rear lol, too focus on the front. Rear rotors need replacement and bushings.

You ever see knock from bad ethanol or gas? I blew my engine pretty sure from water in the ethanol then put new engine in and thankfully the break in process is letting me burn it off without boost because I would have blown this too.
Yeah, have seen old gas cause issues due to that. I was concerned with this build as well because I was only able to drain half of the tank. It was acting pretty poor until I filled up and evened things out a little. Ideally I'll get through this tank before final revisions so we can make adjustments on completely fresh fuel, but we'll be doing e85 tuning as well.
Ive also replaced the left cam sensor in my legacy without undoing anything but breathers and washer neck, it did suck ass and take 2 hours and alot of cursing. I feel your pain.
We like to play the game on hard mode. Nothing wrong with that 🤣 that first sensor came out super easy, but the bolt would not go back in with the new sensor and I sat there with it for like 20 minutes waiting for it to actually thread in 🤣
I’ve been telling Tanner to get a truck for y’all’s channels. Specifically an old Ford or Chevy, preferably a Chevy. A solid 2WD Longbed Squarebody Chevy with a simple 5.3 swap would be perfect for y’all!

You mentioned the build 5eat. I also am building a 05 legacy with a 5eat. Please tell me who your using for trans build and or balve body mod and who. Thank so much. Subcribed!!
My 5eat was built by Pat at level 10 on the east coast. It's a variant of their bulletproof transmission. You can request components to build them ranging from 500hp to 1000hp capable (supposedly) this one was an 800hp build, although it has little quirks. All parts were from them, I had them modify my torque converter for high stall, they modified the valve body that was original (big mistake as I think this is why 3rd to 4th was so harsh) nowadays I think they only modify new valvebodies but I could be wrong on that. All in all I believe everything was around 4200.00 to have done, but honestly I don't think a high stall converter is needed, made it very annoying to drive in traffic or under light throttle. But level 10 and IPT are about the only guys at this point for actual transmission builds, there are a few places that make valve body upgrades and I know a few people who have I installed the transgo valvebody upgrade kit with good results. 👌

Yeah, higher boost on this thing is going to sound wild. Have hardly even got on the car and that 20g feels very responsive so far. Can't wait to open her up.

@@thomasgalvin9385 I have access to subaru STIS still from working at subaru, so I can look them up. Other than that in general I would go off the bolt size and there is a table on specs for said type of bolt. If you're in the discord it's pretty easy to reach out and get information on things as well so join if you haven't. 👌

Thanks man 🙏 The outback was perfect, and I had put a ton of work into every aspect of it. The legacy essentially needs everything at this point. Good for content, but bad on the wallet, so it'll take a bit to get everything the way i want it 🤣
I just like car modification and education content. I like the progress so far and think you should just post what you want. Although I do think input from the community is important, I also think it needs to be natural and align with what you originally sought out to be a content creator for in the first place.

Dope, probably won't be messing with it for a bit but always up for some insight. I've been quoted up to 10 grand just to remove the stump and was like yeahhh no we'll work around it for now 😅
@@MatlasDI f that. A mini excavator a dump trailer and truck rental would be cheaper all through Home Depot. I have a mini excavator and dump trailer but fuel pulling it up there it would be cheaper to rent them for a day. Only harder part is where your nearest asphalt plant is. Home depot truck and equipment would be a couple grand for a day
