@@MatlasDI This seems like the perfect balance for a daily (I daily mine too). Would you recommend a similar build but without the built 5EAT? Mine doesn't have the shift issues, but curious about the reliability with more torque & HP.
@Brandon Lee I think this power level would do alright with a factory 5eat, but I would probably advise to do an upgraded valve body at minimum. They just have issues applying proper clamping force which will wear them out quickly at anything above oem levels.

Honest question here why are you letting off the gas when the cars shifting. Shouldnt you just be leaving your foot to the floor with it being an automatic?
Normally not a big deal, but if you have additional torque/ horsepower on the unit, letting off a little between shifts helps to decouple internals to not potentially wear them, so honestly, It's just a bit of habit. With it being built, it's not really necessary, but there can still be some minor wear there.

@DarkWolf Hobbies We actually received some right before I left subaru, so I got to check them out a little, theyre a blast. Honestly, I don't even dislike the exterior. The rear end is slightly odd, but I've liked every other aspect since it came out. We had planned on trading the crosstrek in on one, but with the career changes, we decided to hold off. I would really like to still pick one up on the future. 👌
Is the moon roof still in it? Maybe some weight reduction lol
Yeah. Moonroof still in and fully functional lol. She's the daily, so I'm not pinching to shave times down or anything. 😅
@MatlasDI I'm truly in awe of this thing. I love wagons, and this model was always interesting. And it sounds great 👌 👏. A lot of effort into your daily. I like this. I guess i shouldn't assume you have another vehicle . I'd like to do something of some nature to my h6, but it's my daily and not that savy with these things, so I watch guys like you to learn stuff. Whatever you're doing, keep it up
@kyle bartel thanks man, means a lot 🙏
I do have an outback xt as well, which will be more of the racecar, but I figured hey, if we're cleaning it up, might as well do some tasteful upgrades 🤙
These tasteful upgreads seem like true challenges. But we'll worth the effort
@kyle bartel Definitely. Do it a couple times and you'll get the hang of it 👌
Were these pulls done in 3rd gear or 4th?
I believe they were done in 3rd, iirc.
I was just wondering cause mine were all done in 4th gear. 1 to 1 ratio.
@Phakmyvang Ly That's normally what we've done in the past as well.
broooo what bpv/bov are you running? made me pop a hardy lol
🤣🤣 it's a grimmspeed bpv. They create a lot of stu stu's 😅
@@MatlasDI I was looking at those and it’s good to hear what it sounds like on an actual Legacy, I’ve noticed how it sounds different on different cara
@Dylan Hanson yeah they can be a little different based on manifold and turbo choice, they essentially have a very hard spring, so they create a lot of flutter at lower boost which is most of what you hear.
@@MatlasDI hell yeah, i actually am wanting to do a similar setup to what youve got on here, only real difference is i wanna stay TMIC for some quicker spooling time since its my daily, i forgot is this car stock turbo or no?
@Dylan Hanson my outback had a grimmspeed topmount and still put down 400hp on pump out of a 1.5xtr, nothing wrong with that, a lot less complexity involved. Legacy has a Cobb 20g.
Is this with stock injectors? 660cc?
Nah, this car has way more fuel than needed. ID1300s. Only touched 50% lol
@MatlasDI awesome!! I was going to get 1050cc. You think that will be enough for a 20g?
Or would my stock injectors even be enough?
@@jccars9400 maxed out this 20g on pump only touching roughly 700cc. 1050s would be great for pump and likely sufficient for e85 as well. 1300 wouldn't be a bad idea if you're going E to have a little room up top or for future upgrades.
@jccars9400 you could run the 20g without upgrading but would be fairly limited on what it will do. I don't like that purely due to the possibility of running lean if boost control messes up.
Worry about the block before the heads
Normally, I would as well, but the RA shortblock has less than 10k on it, and the heads are all 165k factory components. 🥲
300 wheel dank daily
i cant bring myself to buy parts until my ej explodes and gives me a reason
Literally what I did with this car 🤣 It was my lady and I's beater daily, and we drove it until a rod bearing disintegrated. 😆
This was a long ass video!! LMAO
It was a long ass day 🤣🤣🤣
Does this car have avcs?
Single avcs B heads.
@@MatlasDI ahh yeah I’ve got those heads on my 02 wrx. Lookin to upgrade from the vf48 I have. 300-350 would be cool but without avcs idk how laggy it’ll be.
@Grant Garver Shouldn't really be a problem, I would think.
@@MatlasDI ok I was just curious because my tuner said to make 350 I’d need an fp red and that it would be laggy but when I think ab 350hp I was hoping lag wouldn’t be an issue
Great vid btw !
That is clear…🤨
? I have a 03 bugeye wrx with 4eat , what is done to this auto ?
It's a level 10 built 5eat, it's actually from my other car, so it has around 30k on it, but it was their "bulletproof" 800hp option with high stall torque converter, and upgraded valvebody.
@@MatlasDI how you like stall torque converter? What's the stall set at
@Jonathan Gaia honestly, I don't notice it much unless I'm dipping in and out of accel or decel. I don't know exactly what they increased it to. It was whatever level 10 had recommended for the original builds characteristics.
