I noticed them right away too! They look great! Kat, can I ask you, did u have veneers done or just whitening? I've been thinking about getting veneers personally.. thx for the gr8 research video, as always
back in the late 90's I was a fashion jewelry buyer for a high end department store and met Kenneth Jay Lane on several occasions! What a huge personality!
Kat, your teeth look beautiful, but I also love your makeup and hair color. The natural look is great on you! So fresh and pretty! ❤ I also love your videos. Thanks so much!!
I throughly enjoy your site. I learn something every time and the best thing is you always keep it moving. Keep up the fantastic work. What a handsome little man Dalton is.
I enjoy your videos. Your videos are educational, show the value of pieces and the pace is just right! I don't buy or sell, but I like vintage jewelry. I am 69 years old and inherited my mother's and grandmother's collection of brooches and necklaces. I'm trying to learn what I have. Thank you for your enjoyable videos. Also, I am a retired nurse. ♥️😉
Love your videos. I've found several of these designers but none worth these amounts. Maybe one day tho. Dalton is absolutely adorable. I love watching how well he entertains himself while you are doing the videos. Such a great kid. Thank you for all your research.
Hi Kat - I've been waiting for this one. But, Yikes...I put brooches on costume head dresses...not any more! These research videos are so much fun - I take notes. I'll never get over the tea cups. Or the travel mugs...well all of it really. Thanks so much for all you do. xo Suzi
The horse pin is something that would easily be missed as valuable at an estate or garage sale. I’m the photo it looks like a child’s toy jewelry piece. Wonderful video with great info! Thank you.
Your sparkling white teeth look beautiful! Also love your make up and neutral lip color in this video, you look beautiful! Great information - I will look at brooches closer when I see them.
I know is not related but just have to mention that your teeth look amazing!!!! You look so fresh and beautiful…. Now to the brooches, thank you for all your great information
Hi! I love your videos! I'm a vintage jewelry collector and aspiring reseller, and have a little bit of info. When a seller photographs a piece of jewelry on a photo that shows the same piece, it's not from a catalogue. It's from a jewelry reference book. "Book piece" is a great search word, and usually increases the value of any piece. If there's a price shown in the book, it's usually an estimate of its worth at the time the book was written, so it's often not a reliable pricing source because many books were written years ago. This is one of the reasons why jewelry research books are so expensive even with the internet as a source; not just for the knowledge contained in the book, but for the photos so you can say "book piece" if you have or find one, thus increasing the jewelry's value. It also helps confirm the piece's authenticity to the buyer.
Wow...can't believe you've been doing this for only a year. I was telling my son in law how you have become more and more glamorous as you continue with your selling and videos.
Hi Kat, I totally agree with Maureen. You look absolutely beautiful. Thank you for the series on brooches. All your video’s are so informative and very much appreciated. See you at your next show! (Naggi)
I just found your channel. I am very interested in starting to sell jewelry. I've learned a lot so far, and I appreciate how you are willing to teach and now just show what you are selling. Thank you!
This is an excerpt from an online article from 2008 about HAR: Roberto, while researching in the U.S.A Copyright Office in the Washington Library of Congress, found that the "HAR" mark was owned by Hargo Creations in New York. He also learned that Joseph Heibronner and Edith Levitt founded Hargo in 1955.
i've sold on ebay for 20 years, and mostly vintage jewelry for the last few. after watching one of your other brooch vids i decided to take another look at a stash of brooches i've ignored. since then i sold a Juliana piece for $170 (with damage!), and last night i listed a different brooch on auction and it has 22 watchers, and i'm getting offers around $100...not taking them of course. THANK YOU for taking your time to do the research and make the video.
I've recently started doing jewelry- was mainly sticking to video games- and i like it lol. Got the loupe. Watching you and people like Dr Lori. Good content.
Hi there, I really enjoy your videos and appreciate your dedication and hard work ! I just wanted to point out that on the Joan Rivers brooch I think I see that it was actually marked 753 which is the European goldsmith registration mark in Arrezzo Italy. I believe that bird was made with gold which is it got so many bids. The European mark “750” is 18kt gold
This series was so valuable and fun, thanks! Dalton is soooooooo adorable. I'd pay good money for eyelashes like his. LOL. Congratulations on your new smile. Now your teeth are as gorgeous as the rest of you.
Another great show. Love all the information. I knew of some of the brands you mentioned, but some are new to me. Can you include the starting bid, when there is an auction item?
Unfortunately these already take quite a few hours to do and that would add more time. If you search eBay and filter to sold/completed listing you can search for them and click on amount of bids and it will tell you
I’ve been collecting Vtg jewelry for whatnot. I got excepted the same week but I’m nervous. Everything’s ready but me lol. Anyway, I’ve been pretty lucky to win some really nice brooches on Whatnot. I love everything I got from you also. I followed your advice and ordered the bubble wrap. Normally I paid 19 at Walmart for the big one. I got four of them for $40. What a great deal 👍 thank you for mentioning it
Help .I listed an item and filled in every specifics but when I go to list it is telling me to fix what I forgot It's very puzzling..there must be something I don't know about.please advise me! Thank you
I'm usually drawn to attractive things. However, a lot of costume jewelry that's really not that beautiful is selling high. I like all kinds. But, seriously I will be looking for the right pieces, brands and/or unique from now on. I understand animals, pets, and all the signs of the right ones. :) I'm still shocked at some of the prices. I have a lot that I sourced over the years. I'm positive I have some that will be worth something. I'm going to start going through them.
Some people think and it can be true that starting lower gets more bids and people get invested and feel the item is theirs so it can go higher if started lower
Hi Cat I need your help. I have an etching on marble that a friend gave me yrs ago. It has a certificate with it. It is signed. I have no idea how to figure out exactly what it’s worth. Could you clue me in? I have looked under Google Lens and on EBay to no avail.
I am not good at identifying if not signed there are books to help learn schreiner pieces that are unmarked. I only know ones that are marked schreiner new york
Wanted to let you know Kat that I researched and found out that his rare and earliest pieces of jewelry were unsigned but not for long because he started signing them. The only thing I couldn't find out was ....of the unsigned pieces of jewelry ...did he make the same pieces later on that were signed.
Thank you and unfortunately I'm not knowledgeable enough to do one, there are websites and groups that can help if it's suspected and I'm sure books, but not a easy answer

Hi Dalton 💕😀

Have questions on choice of platforms , how did you decide. Especially best on line auctions
These are not my sales these are research. These are all sales on eBay which is our main platform
Do you take all your pieces to a jeweler to be authenticated? And do you put your things on internationally ?
These are not my sales this is one's I researched. I only take gold pieces to be authenticated and I do sell international
Is it good value if the brooch has an air bubble? The pink DeNolia had an air bubble.
It depends on the brooch I sold a Schreiner with a cracked main stone for $1200
Help .I listed an item and filled in every specifics but when I go to list it is telling me to fix what I forgot
It's very puzzling..there must be something I don't know about.please advise me! Thank you
Look for the exclamation, a lot of times it might be shipping weight getting erased

Yes very true weird odd and unusual typically does well
Hi Kat, @TheNurseFlipper
Why would someone start a Shriner brooch (the flower on stem) low at auction? 65 bids?
Trying too figure out the advantage?
Some people think and it can be true that starting lower gets more bids and people get invested and feel the item is theirs so it can go higher if started lower
@@TheNurseFlipper
Ahhh Gotcha. Thank you so much for answering the question.
Many Blessings,

I am not good at identifying if not signed there are books to help learn schreiner pieces that are unmarked. I only know ones that are marked schreiner new york
