People are grabbing brooches! Thanks for education on what to look for. Your heart kinda floats heavenly when you fine out you done good with a purchase.
Lanvin is the first Couture Design House in Paris, probably from the 1800s. I have a pair of earrings listed. It was a common name when I was young, especially their perfume. you dont hear their name as much these days
WOW beautiful jewelry I have found Christian Dior at thrift store before for $12 and sold it for $200 probably could of gotten more if waited for the right buyer who would pay up so exciting to see so much beautiful stuff tfs
Really pretty jewelry. Even without a signature, the beauty and craftsmanship of this jewelry would give a clue that it has value. I’m still waiting for the Joan Rivers jewelry I bought years ago to become valuable.
My mother and Aunt had, between the two of them, dozens of brooches. My Aunt died first and when my mom passed a relative swooped in and took them all, with my dads permission because hey what did he need them for. They would have now been between 70/80 years old. Probably worth more in memories then $ but who knows.
Have you heard of a jewelry company "Joy"??? I found a cartoonish (dragonfly) type brooch in a thrift shop a few days ago. Very unique, about 3.5 by 2.5 inchs, transparent, kinda stain glass look, from the 1960's -70's. Not much info outthere but the brooches/pins sells for $200 to $400 each. I picked my Dragon fly up for $10.99 Y'all be on the look out for the brand "Joy", I didn't buy the dragon fly but couldn't get it out of my mind, went back the next day and bought it. Happy hunting!!!
recently found some Carnegie earrings I was going to give to my 7 year old to destory but I was happy I searched the name first. I listed them instead.
Wow Thanks Kat, that was Great ! The last Hopi Bird is very 'inspiring'[. Cheers to you and the Dalton Gang ~ Suse & Crew Vancouver Island BC CANADA ~*~
Lanvin was exquisite top of the line very expensive jewelry for the wealthy from before the 50s and forward. Surprised they are gone. (First n is 95% silent, French I believe). A is as in law. Sad. Thanks for showing.
Hi Kat I have a question for you. How do you find out how much listed broaches sell for on Ebay? I have looked many times but never been able to find values. Thank you.
Some of the first five key words are words buyer would NEVER use in a search. It is amazing those items get sold. Makes me wonder how they shop. Searches or just going through the categories. Hummmmmm
It would REALLY help though just to see research videos of lower pricing Jewelry only because I’m not able to just go out to estate sales and thrift stores and garage sales. I’m limited to what I can do financially and physically. I would help me to see what is being sold for how much so I’ll know how to list them. I’m very insecure and afraid I’m going to price them wrong. Your videos have already helped me tremendously I KNOW one like that would help me even more and give me just a little boost of confidence. You don’t want to do a video like that because you say they’re out there. Well there not for someone like me and seeing all the high dollar ones all the time just makes me feel a like inadequate. It would be really nice to see a video that’s more on my level. 😊
So unless it is exact ones it wouldn't be much of a help as there can be a small difference with a price difference of hundreds. Perhaps this video would help ruclips.net/video/ztZTD0XBqoo/видео.html
I don't think I'll ever mentally recover from my beginning days of flea market selling. I was always fascinated by everyone's interest in my vintage jewelry, once I began to develop knowledge on the value, my customer traffic slowly declined along with sales because I no longer was asking 1,3 or 5 dollars for pieces. I now focus selling online because buyers are more appreciative and knowledgeable when it comes to the worth of vintage jewelry. Though I learned a tremendous amount about jewelry, I feel I lost opportunities to make huge profits.
I have been watching your videos for a while now and just taking every bit of information in like a sponge,Lol,what is your take on vintage pearl necklaces?I own several and have noticed that pearls are slowly making a comeback after the market has been flooded with lab created pearls, would you sell now or wait?
It would be interesting to also compare these and lower brooches not only what they went for on ebay but also ebay compared to Cherish only because it is where ALOT of people put high "endish" brooches on..could you maybe to compare to see the vast or not vast differences?? Absolutely love these viedoes and thank you for your time consuming research on these ❤ Remember if it was not for you that a jar of goodwill jewelry of a brooch I realized my brooch was a Juliana estimated over $400!😊

Interesting! Thank you!
❤ lovely video..
Thanks 🤗
Another great video thanks
Glad you enjoyed it
I think they put the Chr. because they didn’t have anything to show it was authentic. I think putting it exactly as signed prevents a return.
great info, thx
You're welcome
Partial list mentioned.
PERNINO. Hatty Carnegie, Christian Dior schreiner. Eisenberger Marcel Boucher. Krememtz Miriam Haskell, , Juliana book, gradation
Thanks appreciate it
The 1940's pieces are rare, much older and harder to find so that is why the price is priced higher.
I collect Pennino. Love their work and their story. Not very common to see them around, at least in my neck of the woods. Huge fan of this brand!!
It's crazy how many I get in lots from estates in the northeast not a ton but fairly common
Well I’m gonna have to start looking harder! 😂
@@sarsarsvintagejewelry lol lol they don't say they're in there lol

Filter to completed and sold

Can someone explain what a "book piece" is? I love jewelry but am fairly new to selling it.
Pieces in books that teach about the designer
Austria
Hello, my friend.
Hello 👋
💜💜💜💜💜
Anyone know of a forum where I can post items and people will help me learn more about the piece?
Old things thrifters and Pickers group on Facebook
What about a brochure that says aurstria
Those are ok as far as value
Hi kat
Hello 👋
It is Pulcinella not Punchinello 🤦♀️
I don't think I'll ever mentally recover from my beginning days of flea market selling. I was always fascinated by everyone's interest in my vintage jewelry, once I began to develop knowledge on the value, my customer traffic slowly declined along with sales because I no longer was asking 1,3 or 5 dollars for pieces. I now focus selling online because buyers are more appreciative and knowledgeable when it comes to the worth of vintage jewelry. Though I learned a tremendous amount about jewelry, I feel I lost opportunities to make huge profits.
Yeah but you learned alot that's what I like to call paying to learn
The Trifari Elephant with the pearl belly looks more like a Potato belly ...just sayin lol
Lol
I have been watching your videos for a while now and just taking every bit of information in like a sponge,Lol,what is your take on vintage pearl necklaces?I own several and have noticed that pearls are slowly making a comeback after the market has been flooded with lab created pearls, would you sell now or wait?
I've done ok with mine I would go ahead and list
It would be interesting to also compare these and lower brooches not only what they went for on ebay but also ebay compared to Cherish only because it is where ALOT of people put high "endish" brooches on..could you maybe to compare to see the vast or not vast differences?? Chairish doesn't have a way to search and see what has sold like eBay does. Congrats on the Julianna :D
Sensual & sexy on the clear & purple brooch??? hahahaha
Lol yes
