I wonder if any of these brooches are fakes because many scammers who reproduce this stuff are very sophisticated in executing a perfect copy because they use old stock findings and tools.I read an article about fakes on the market on high dollar antiques and collectibles because as we can see this is where the money is at so it's worth reproducing .At these prices I personally would want authentication and proof of original purchase or some sort of document, it's like buying a Chanel bag without authentication. No way

I don't think they did I don't see many reserve auctions anymore as a lot of people won't bid on them
