      Robinson i try to give help and guidance where i can. As you can see i have taken apart and put a few things together on the vehicle. I have made plenty of mistakes along the way (like the stupid tinted headlights). I always love on the 300 or charger groups where people will say that i don't know what I'm talking about because i have a magnum then several months later are sending PM's or DM's asking for help.

      @@jross13450 @Jeoffry...great looking whip and representation of a customized magnum. I was just doing some window shopping for a 2007-2008 Dodge Magnum to consider having one as daily driver. So I decided to surf youtube and see what some folks have chosen as custom mods inside and out. Believe it or not, the most impressed mod that jumped out at me is your Magnum to Chrysler 300 front bumper swap out! Were there any body, frame, and or any special modifications you had to do in order to bolt on a Chrysler 300 bumper?

    • @jross13450
      @jross13450 5 лет назад

      @dima it is a stock configuration, so nothing has to be customized. It is completely bolt on. Basically everything from the windshield forward gets replaced.

    • @jross13450
      @jross13450 5 лет назад +16

      Fvck U that was the original plan, but came across the supercharger after being hosed out on a couple 6.1 deals.
      Also, when at shows all you see is 5.7, 5.7, 6.1, 6.1, 6.1, 6.4, 6.2, 5.7. I didnt want to blend in with all the other V8 cars and have the engine swap overlooked as part of the build process.
      Also, how often have you seen a supercharged V6 at a show? It was done more for judges to take a second look and notice other small details of the build instead of glancing over it as just another stock SRT with a bumper swap.
      Once the 3.5 blows, I'll end up swapping in a 6.1 though.

      From 2005 i have loved the magnum and the 300. I had an 06 RT magnum before i picked up the 07. The plan was to get a 300 as a daily driver and continue the conversion on the RT, for shows. But, the RT didnt want to play nice with what i wanted to do to it, so sold it in the intention of keeping the 07 mag as a daily driver and getting a SRT 300 to build for fun and shows. That never happened though, the misses got a new car right after i sold the magnum and at the time wasn't in a position for 2 car payments.
      All this being said, i have loved the 300 estate. Looked into importing one, but way too expensive and too much red tape. So i built one instead. One day it will be a V8, but there will still be those who will say its only a bumper swap on a magnum

    • @jross13450
      @jross13450 5 лет назад +1

      Makan Tahi about $35k so far
      Before and after numbers aren't really representative of the vehicle right now but before was stock, so 190-200 to the wheel, currently it is 250 to the wheel.
      I am on low boost and a super safe tune while I'm still doing work to the car. When i turn up the boost and finish a few other mods the tuner expects me to be near 400-425 to the wheel. I believe that is going aggressive with the tune, so i expect to be around 350-375 to the wheel keeping me in a safe drivability zone. Not bad for a little 3.5 to have the same or more HP to the wheel than a stock SRT. (425 crank - 15% loss through nag1 = 362 RWHP)

      @makantahi3731 5 лет назад

      uf, thanks, i made/make some changes on my 300c 5.7 estate, but only performance ,not look, because it in stock looks grotesquely, and i try to stay on low profile, sleeper, and only what left is to install srt camshaft and/or supercharger. now i think how to make flat floor because car still does not go more than 250km/h, what it could in stock too, the truth is that it comes faster to 60/100/120mph but max is the same

      Stepheon Coles the original plan was to put a 6.1 in the car. Got tired of flakes and peo0le not having what they said they have. Also at shows all you see are 5.7, 5 7, 6.1, 5.7, 6.1, 6.1. I didn't want a judge to walk by and just think it was a stock SRT with a bumper swap and just keep walking. Having a supercharged V6 gets judges to stop and take a second look. Also, what's the differance at a show? You're parked. So having a V8 vs a V6 doesn't matter.

      The magnum is definitely an underappreciated vehicle. Daimler pretty much sealed it's fate from the beginning with only one commercial for it and very little print advertising.
      I saw that commercial back in 05 and looked at them. Loved the car, but not the price tag.
      Wagons are a hard sell in the US. All the soccer moms and housewives want SUV's, Crossovers or Minivans. The magnum was axed for the Journey.
      Fun fact, the magnum is insured/registered as a van and not a wagon. It was one way around the gas guzzler tax.

    • @jross13450
      @jross13450 5 лет назад

      John Doe it is 100% direct swap. All body panels from the windshield forward get removed. The 300c estate and magnum are the exact same shell, so nothing needs any modifications. You can do the swap in a few hours with maybe 5 tools. The chargum builds are where fenders need to be molded for the front end swap.

      John they did come from the factory like this. Just not the factory in Canada. They came out of the Austria factory like this for the European and Australian markets. We already had the Magnum in the US and no need for Chrysler to compete with itself trying to push another wagon on the US

      Jeoffry Ross nice, i did not know that. I would've preferred this over the magnum any day.

    • @jross13450
      @jross13450 5 лет назад

      Me too John. I loved the magnum since it was released in 05. I am a long roof guy. I would prefer a wagon/hatch over a sedan.
      I have also been a big fan of how the 300 looked.
      When i had my RT Magnum was when i found out that the 300 estate (European 300 wagon) was manufactured for overseas markets.
      I did a bumper swap on the first magnum and was working towards show quality level with it, but it had other ideas and decided to be a mechanical nightmare for me. I ended up putting it back to stock and was going to buy a SRT 300. That way i would have the SRT to play with and build as a show car, and have the V6 magnum as a daily driver still. Well, never got that 300. And i had all the parts still in the garage from the RT magnum, so i just started swapping the parts onto the daily driver magnum and building on top of that until i needed to buy a new daily driver.
      I feel with the build, i got the car i couldn't get in the US. I get my 300 and my longroof all in one vehicle.
      I know people wont like it, or be mad because it is a V6 instead of a V8. But builds are a process. I never said i was done with it.

      Jeoffry Ross your ride is awesome!....my mom is going to give me her 07 Magnum in a couple of weeks,it's in good shape at 69xxx miles 3.5L...I normally stick VW/Audi but seeing what y'all have done with MOPAR is intriguing.

      I'm listening. How is it an abomination? You don't like a modified stock vehicle? Or you just don't like Chrysler 300's?
