I actually love the way the roof rack makes the magnum look.
I'da kept the roof rack - it's part of what I love about a performance wagon - drives like a performance sedan, and you can bring home a pile of lumber, drywall, a tub, etc on the roof while tile and mortar and so on ride in the load area. That's real sport and utility.
HP, suspension, and brake upgrades, with freshly powdercoated wheels, and they reinstalled the stock Uniroyal Tiger Paw A/S touring tires. *headdesk*

They also "upgraded" the braking system with the single worst pads I have personally used on a Magnum. Brake fade was significantly worse than the stock pads and within 15k miles one pad was falling apart, another was pretty much disintegrated. I threw on some $19.00 O'Reilly pads as a temporary fix while I decided whether to go with Hawk pads or give EBC another shot and go with their Yellow pads. The dollar store pads handled the heat better than the EBC Reds so I went with Hawks on my next set....long ramble to say, please don't EVER buy EBC Reds for a large vehicle. They're fine for little Honda gokarts...but they have no business on a muscle car.
Thanks for showing this on RUclips guys. I've had a moment or two being critical but it doesn't take away my appreciation. This is a good show.

I kind of think I would have left the roof rack. And although I like the hood I would just stay with the Stock hood. Because I wouldn't want them to see a freaking thing coming. I'd want a full sleeper grocery getter.🤙👀
My beat up w210 with a v12 5.5 twin turbo swap looks more sleeper and eats that Magnum for breakfast.

The roof rack sucks, but I don’t think they had to do all of those things to delete it. I always loved the ‘08 SRT 8 hood with the scoop on the leading edge. On the Magnum, killer. I like the factory wheels, RT or SRT8, others look like they were “settled on”. Bag it. Up when you need. Ground hugger when you want. Those headlights remind me of in the 80’s when people would go and buy every single stupid modification to “set their ride apart”, but in reality it looked like someone desperate for attention. And black. Always black. The vanilla with blacked out windows and wheels is pretty nasty too. Otherwise, they got them right the first time.
Ditto on the rack, I picked up an OEM rack for my 2006 MSRT8...and it's still in the box. I have trouble with the idea of drilling holes in her to bolt it on.
I agree , and they way they eliminated the bolts was retarded, if one has to one can just cut them and grind them down no need for holes and bondo that eventually will rust out.

Love it. But, a factory roof rack with a cheap amazon basket is a LIFESAVER if you use your wagon to haul stuff regularly!

Went with a Magnuson TVS2300 for my brothers Magnum. It’s got the 6.1L Hemi in it. He loves the shape of the car. When the current engine goes we’ve already got a Demon crate motor to swap in.
What are you doing, I’d be doing burn outs left and right, bouncing off the rev limited to get that demon in there, roughly 800 horses to the wheels is awesome and a big improvement

Lose the Red Halo Lights. Buy new factory headlight shells, then install Piaa LED bulbs in place of the stock halogen bulbs. An expensive but worthwhile upgrade if seeing where you are going at night matters to you.
I'm not so sure about them EBC brakes. I had them on my motorcycle and they would overheat and fall apart. I then changed to a cheaper brand and they never over heated.
I just commented about that on another guy's reply. I ran the Reds myself on my 06 Magnum and they faded worse than the stock pads as well as the cheap $19 pads I threw on when one of them disintegrated.

Just the nature of the beast. Muscle cars, performance cars, tend to get driven hard. They have short life spans. Add into this poor Dodge quality and you have a short lifespan. You might get lucky and find a one owner, mint example owned by a retiree.

I replaced my worn out stock springs and dampers with basic tools and some cheap spring compressor clamps from Advance auto. Upgraded to Bilstien dampers and Eibach springs.

come to GA......they are literally everywhere. the only Hard Magnums to find are the SRT8 models,but that is anywhere cause they really didn't sell a lot of those Models.

I wish i could afford the supercharger... theyre so expensive. I LOVE my magnum RT though, she ever dies and I'm buying another engine, I'm never getting rid of her! Did headers and k&n filter with cool air from a front intake feeding from the left fog light. Theres a nice hole at the bottom of the factory airbox you can plumb to it and give her nice cool air. Of course I also did brakes and poly bushings and better shocks.

@Pete is never wrong I do this for a living. If OSHA saw that they would catch a HUGE fine maybe even shut down for a period of time. OSHA Regulations forbid spraying anything with out proper respirator for what is being sprayed.
Let me clarify: Because there a commercial business. Because there operating under a tax ID and business zoning regulations. AN individual person at home can't get in trouble.

No anti-sqeual compound on the backside of the pads? The lube is used for that, dampens out the vibrations that cause the disc to ring like a bell.

Re-use the lower isolator?! Now's the time to replace it, jeez it's rubber! I would replace all the bushings but that takes a lot more effort and time. All that improved stopping power will wonk the old bushings.
You should put a modem charger front end and hood on the car. That would make it a killer looking car. Put new charger wheels on it too.
I have a 2008 R/T AWD! Black with a roof rack. Gotta have the roof rack! AND...and, they only made 205 0f them! And I got one! Look around. You won't find any.

02:00 i do not see some benefit of lowering car if spring/absorber left soft, i installed kw v3 kit on 300c 5.7awd and put it high as possible and car is still 2cm lower than stock but it is much more stiffer and no bank in corners what is much better than stock no matter of height

Baby Leg it could be the end links, or the sway bar bushings. but most of the time it’s the upper and lower control arm bushings and ball joints. sometimes a combo of all of the above.

They are really anti- sway bars. The bars help handling.
I’m shocked you put the wheels to spec, I kinda just do a lot of ugga duggas until I’m happy then get a breaker bar and give it all my weight for a breed second and we are golden

That roof rack wasn’t stock, as this is a sunroof car. Had one or the other, never both from factory

I would have kept the roof rack and not a fan of the lights.
Nice transformation, but I'd be hesitant to throw almost $10k into a supercharger and exhaust on a 15 year old car without doing something to strengthen the bottom end of the engine. I don't have a lot of confidence that it will stay together for very long with all that boost going into a stock engine with probably 100,000 miles or more. My Magnum R/T is going strong at 138,000 miles but I wouldn't add forced induction without updating the guts first.
More than likely the ring gaps are opened from wear, and 5psi isn’t much boost, I’d add water meth injection as a safety blanket, and fix that lame one wheel peel

The power coater shouldn't have copated inside the huds . I have a set of 1200+ rimes and tires that 8 found it really hard to get a shop to put them on because the power coaster did the huds to

I usually don't like 4 door cars but I'd like to have a V8 Dodge Magnum or V8 Chrysler 300 in good condition with a nice interior. Get some exterior mods and maybe some different wheels. Get it mean looking but ride in comfort and style with some luxury. Performance mods would be great too but not that big of a factor for me.
