"Modern" Chapelle show? I think the shows were only 7 or 8 years apart. It definitely makes me feel old when people refer to a show (the Chapelle Show in this case) as ancient history when that show came out when I was in college.
I’m a substitute teacher. I used to tell my students that if I tried to say there names it would end up an episode of Kay and Peele. Now they don’t get it.
Michael Key is bald so it's also funny how well they'r able to come up with different hairstyles to match these skits. Props to the hair and make-up artists who work on this show. It's done so well, that you don't even notice. The look totally fits the part. At some point during production someone said 'Yeah, we want him to have hair but also, he's missing some hair'.
As a part of Gen X (I’m 53,) I had to explain to our school aged girls that this is an astute play on what actually happened sometimes in suburban schools which had desegregation programs. There were often mispronunciations of some deseg student names, but that was taken with humor most of the time with the teacher making self deprecating comments and quickly learning the proper pronunciation…and then we had Mrs. Ford. OMG! She TOTALLY did this to people who had different pronunciations for their names. Everyone pretty much knew she was a racist. But, she was about to retire, so the administration did not do anything about it…There was a guy in my class named, “DaRELL” (capitalized for emphasis) and she refused to call him anything but “Darryl” which wasn’t even how he spelled his name. His name was spelled “Darell,” and she also told him that he was spelling his name wrong. This was a real thing, just the opposite of how Key and Peele did it. How they did this was BRILLIANT! (Edit: after I posted this I realized that there was another guy who had that teacher named, Jacques. His name was supposed to be pronounced, “Jock-weese.” She couldn’t call him that either. I wish I could remember some more names. There were girls who had problems with her, too.)
I checked it started in 65 so your right around their but no one can agree when it ended, some say 80 and some say up til 84.im 81 and I know I'm gen x ,I was around for grunge and awesome 80s movies and graduated in 00 so that's before the new millennium.
@@ericseitzler81 😂🤣😂…so…according to you…the Baby Boom lasted for 29 years? Is that right? Because after the Baby Boom came Generation X. The Baby Boom started just after WWII.
@@ericseitzler81 I have no idea of what your point is with your second comment, but, sure, being born in 1981 also makes you a part of Generation X. I am unconcerned…and 1969 is when I was born, so not just “around there.” Point of fact, I was also around for grunge music and 80’s movies, so were my parents, who were a part of the Silent Generation.
You guys are freaking hilarious. I wish you all the success in the world. I always laugh when you guys talk about breaking the matrix and the frequencies and I respect how you guys accept reality even when it isn't pretty just like I do with my Latino folks. There is nothing wrong with acknowledging reality and trying to make improvements in our lives and in our societies but the only way we can do that is by being honest with ourselves and accepting reality for what it is. YOU GUYS ARE BREAKING THE MATRIX GOD BLESS YOU!!!
Seen it many times, and I NEVER go without cracking the hell up. GOAT sketch from K&P. Sorry about the bowl loss to Houston btw gentlemen. Happy Holidays.
Key and Peele are masters. I also highly recommend mid 90s sketch show "Mr. Show". You will recognize the actors. Bob Odenkirk (Better Call Saul), etc.
One of those shows I wish never ended, They went on to do great things but theres never enough Key & Peele man, The rapper admitting murder in a song, The Noice!! Dealin drugs at the park, Loved the Hat Skit too when they were 1 upping each other with caps, Put The Pssy On The Chain Waaaax!!!! Gah miss my boys!!! 😩😩😩
Hahahahahaha... You guys should do more Key and Peele videos. Do "Gay Wedding Advice" of Key and Peele. It was my favourite one. Watch it and you will see.
I'm a white history teacher in a school in which I have classes that are majority black students. We get the joke, Key and Peele. It's quite brilliant. Touché.
i like how you're talking about "breaking the matrix" and one of you guys says "we got a degree" and his pants are half way down his as*. that was funny.
I went to the set of their sketch "Lando's Fan" in 2013, in Van Nuys, CA. It was a fun day we didn't want to leave and go back to CBS and edit the content, so nice to hang out with. The two football announcers were there later getting ready to film the funny football name sketches. I told Jordan I love his Meegan stuff and he burst into character for a couple "no!" Meegan quotes I guess. I think these guys had so much fun and probably sometimes start talking like those characters outside of work haaha.
Bros,....breaking the matrix is being able to laugh together like this. Laughing at each others weaknesses is funny. Nothing hateful involved. We all have problems and laughing at each other makes it all better.
First time I saw this I thought it was funny but then when I learned it’s because he used to remember the names of inner city kids who have VERY uncommon names then I laughed my ass off even harder.😂😂
Ever since this video, almost everyone has called me “A-a-ron”
you done messed up...
Has anyone sent you to o-shack-hennessy's office?
Yo A-A-RON!!
😝🤣
Bruh they made my life so annoying cuz that shit 😂
My all-time favourite KEY AND PEELE sketches are the football draft skits with all the ridiculous names.
They jumped the shark with the last one but did you know that Jordan dubbed the voice of Dan Smith in the rap video?
😂😂😂 yoooooo saying shit like "Jersiffcus Ordolon Murphy, MC State University"
Then they connected the draft and the substitute teacher sketch at the end.
East west game are my favorite
What's funny is that they weren't too far off with the names
Honestly, they could do an entire TV series with these characters.
In all honesty, Principal O'Shaughnessy wouldn't ask Mr. Garvey back if the students told him that Mr. Garvey ruled the classroom with an iron fist.
@@AdderTude Maybe if he was a whiskey drinking guy who clicked with Mister Garvey and gave him a pass. They both have Irish names...🙂
I died when he said "I got my eye on you Jay-queline".
Manly tears had me dying the first time I seen it.
Yessir lol
They definitely need to do manly tears and the Wayne Brady sketch from The Chappelle Show
Alright, ya'll let's go sell some crack.
Eminem - you’re never over
Funniest shit ever
Key & Peele will forever be the most modern day Chapelle Show we'll ever have.
Facts
It's better if we're really honest. Far better acting, better premises, better production relative to the time.
Modern? It's over a decade old now
Dont tell Chapelle that... He's adamant they copied his show
"Modern" Chapelle show? I think the shows were only 7 or 8 years apart. It definitely makes me feel old when people refer to a show (the Chapelle Show in this case) as ancient history when that show came out when I was in college.
My wife, who often has her name butchered, loves this skit. Whenever she is having one of those days, I can hear her giggle and say "A-a-ron".
It never gets old. I've been loving this for years. It's their best.
Key and Peele are some of the best comedians out there. This is one of their funniest and best sketches.
Still one of the funniest comedy sketches ever. Great choice to react to this!
Lies again? UFC SILAT UEFA SW
We need more of this series !!!!
Facts
I bought my brother a Christmas sweater with Key's face on it that said Ya done messed up Christmas A-aron!🤣🤣🤣
😂😂😂😂😂
Hurts to laugh that much 😂😂😂 no matter how many times i watch it
THE MOST EPIC OF ALL...I WATCH THIS DAILY! DAILY!
I’m a substitute teacher. I used to tell my students that if I tried to say there names it would end up an episode of Kay and Peele. Now they don’t get it.
This was the first Key and Peele I saw. I've been a fan of them ever since!
One of the BEST skits ever!! Have watched so many times.
I love this one. They have so many great skits. Two more of my favorites: the gay wedding, and all Andre and Meegan.
Michael Key is bald so it's also funny how well they'r able to come up with different hairstyles to match these skits. Props to the hair and make-up artists who work on this show. Don’t miss that he pronounces difficult words perfectly, like churlish. 😂😂😂
My favorite is Key & Peele boarding an airplane. We watch that one before every pre flight 😂😂😂
Is it the "Terries" sketch? That's my favorite. I watch that one before every flight to make sure I know how to handle a "terrie".

The kids were great. Their facial expressions was great and at the right time.

In my head-canon Timothy has no daughter and his name is Timothy, he just knows how to play the teacher
2nd best comedy skit all-time. #1 is Chapelle's Clayton Bigsby.
i like how you're talking about "breaking the matrix" and one of you guys says "we got a degree" and his pants are half way down his as*. that was funny.
Job interview with Richard Pryor and Chevy Chase on SNL is hysterical too.

This is a classic, but you have to watch the college football drafts. Absolutely hilarious.
As someone named Aaron I still haven’t recovered 😂☠️
This is like the skit key used to do on mad TV. Look up the Coach Hines skits they are some of his funniest
I watch these sketches often. They never get old. These and the Les Miserables parody. Genius.
