This is truly, to me, one of the funniest comedy skits in history! I could watch it a thousand times and laugh just as hard the last time. The actors playing the students were incredible. I wonder how many times they had to film it due to the 'students' cracking up? The writing was fantastic, too. It is so funny on so many different levels, a wonderful playfulness on cultural differences, which these two are so expert in the doing.
I had a substitute teacher who would tell stories about his time in the Korean War for the entire hour. I think I learned more from him than any of my other teachers.
I've seen this dozens of times, but I've never enjoyed it as much as I did watching you see it for the first time. I was laugh/crying watching you. Thanks for blessings us again with your bright, uplifting spirit.
I call my nephew A-Aron all the time because of this episode, he has seen it too and we laugh everytime, it still isn't old saying it after saying it for a couple years now😂
Your reaction had me laughing. Anyway, Key and Peele are comedic geniuses. And what makes these two skits even funnier is they cast the roles of the students perfectly.
laughing hard enough you don't recognize your own laugh is one of the most pure and satisfying way to laugh. My laugh changes depending on how hard I'm laughing or who I'm laughing with, or why I'm laughing, just depends on how explosive it was and how surprised I was and how funny I find it. But I've never had just one laugh.
Not only have I watched this and laughed my ass every time. When I hear those names in conversation it takes me right back to this video. Love the reaction Britt.
I’ve never heard you laugh so hard. It is a clever premise executed perfectly. 😂 You repeatedly wiping away tears reminds me of a quote from the movie Bedazzled “tears are salty badges of emotional honesty “.
LOL...BRITT, YOU ARE KILLING ME WITH YOUR LAUGHTER OVER HERE! YOU GOT ME ABOUT FALLING OUT OF MY CHAIR! I'VE SEEN THIS SKIT BEFORE, BUT YOU MAKE IT THAT MUCH FUNNIER WITH YOUR LAUGHTER! LOVE IT!👍👍❤❤
That kicked my day off to a great start! This was a genius bit by K&P but watching you bust a gut took it up a notch. I bet more than a few people got their names Garvied by friends and coworkers. We had an A-Aron where I worked.
I do gig delivery. Whenever I get one of those names, that's how I ask for them at the restaurant and who I ask for upon delivery. I get very good tips doing this. 😂
Just watching this for the second time and I think it's awesome that you picked up on the mechanism of the skit in literally a couple seconds after the first hint was revealed.
I remember watching this when it aired for the first time on Comedy Central. But then again, I have been waiting on the show to drop because they had released that's about the Obama anger translator on RUclips and we all immediately loved it and couldn't wait and it showed up again in that first episode. And a couple other episodes as well. They were so funny and yet their humor was so complex. Like even in this, I did actually have multiple substitute teachers like that. But then again I'm 60 years old. And it rings perfectly true. And yet on the other hand, it's making a statement about the way schools often happen in the inner-city, where 90% of any available time and resources are spent on just trying to maintain order. Very little goes into active teaching. I would also say that the actors playing the students are just perfect for that. They're just perfect. I don't know what else you've watched but I would rattle off, Obama Anger Translator, You Said What?, Is This Song Racist? ... So many!
LOVE that you are watching KnP! My nephew's name is Aaron and when this came out he was the COOLEST kid in school! Also, you should check out "Tear It Up" by the Cramps, Innervisions by Stevie Wonder, and (please) "The Masquerade Is Over" by Jimmy SAcott! Film noir, heartbreak, and the most amazing voice...
I've binged a lot of Key & Peele over the years. They're talented at what they do. Even if it's a bad day, they never fail to make you laugh and brighten the day up.
2012. Two thousand and twelve! Season 2, episode 4, "Key & Peele" October 17, 2012. This sketch first aired more than ten years ago?!?! How is it possible how fast time has flown? It is still a classic!
One of the top 3 sketches of all time, I cry every time. And for being so short, there’s still so many ways to quote it in daily life. 🤣😂🤣 One thing I noticed in the first skit, and it’s not important at all, it’s just a thing: watch when they show the students raising their hands from the back…when they switch to the front view & their hands are still raised, it’s the opposite hand! Every time 😂🤣😂🤣
I absolutely love you Britt! I have watched this 1,000 times and I still crack up every time. When my husband messes up, and his name isn’t Aaron, I always yell “ Ya done messed up A-Aron
My oldest son's name is Aaron and when this skit came out he was in high school. Needless to say, he went the final 2 years of school almost exclusively being called A-A-Ron and was not amused after a while lol.
Britt's laughter here is EVERYTHING! It's a great skit and I enjoy it every time... but this react was the perfect ending to a long day. Peace and Love to You and Yours!
Also, if you haven't seen the East/West Bowl series of K&P, it is a MUST, along with the Zombies sketch, and the Gay Wedding Advice. Key and Peele also worked on MadTV back in the day. The iRack is one of my all time favorite comedy sketches from anywhere.
I’ve seen this and the second substitute teacher skit years ago and I still quote them to this day. I even wanted to name my son Aaron cause of this video and my wife wasn’t going for it 🤣
I grew up having my last name mispronounced on the daily lol. It's an anglicized version of an Irish name (Ó Broin) spelled "Byrne" and pronounced "Burn" in English, but I was called "Mr. Byron" ALL THE TIME in school lol. Love this sketch. Great reaction!
Probably my favorite skits from Key and Peele! Check out Mexican Standoff, Catcalling, Is This Country song racist, If farts were names, and more! Hysterical!
Based on your reaction, I'm 100% sure you'd love all the Coach Hines skits Keegan Michael Key did on MadTV. Very similar character but even crazier and more physical!
I lose it on the Denise (De-nice) segment. Her tone while saying her name correctly and then gives up. It's like she says "whatever" to him without saying the word. 🤣 🤣 🤣
I love this sketch. I live in Philly, and there are a lot of times, I don't guess at pronunciation. Each person I meet has to tell me what to call them.
I just watched a reaction where barely a smile was cracked, only a couple of chuckles...and they didn't understand the context of the skit. an inner city teacher who had to be tough who was plopped into a likely suburban school. I came from only suburban schools and I cackled (with tears) from the first time I ever saw this. I got it. I don't get how some don't.
I'm 61 years old. And I'm from Kansas City. I worked with alot of older black men one day I asked my co-worker why black people had these names? His explanation was after ww1 black soldiers fighting in France found they were treated much better. So after that they made up name's after French sounding name's. He was very serious and highly educated. So that made sense too me.❤
Glad I finally came to your channel, because obviously when it comes to Key & Peele ,YOU GET IT !!! Especially for th these two scenes Mr Garvey 😂😂😂😂😂😂
Key and Peele is legit one of my favorite shows of all time😂😂😂 I was so pissed when it was over. It is absolute comedy GOLD!!! Any clip you can find to react to from Key and Peele I am 100% here for it😂 This is a straight up CLASSIC skit from the show. I've called my homie Aaron, "A-A-Ron" ever since I first saw this clip when it aired. They even did a Super Bowl commercial with celebrities and Key as "Mr. Garvey" pronouncing their names wrong and it ended with Aaron Donald(he plays for the LA Rams, just in case you didn't know😅 I think he was playing in the game) at the end getting called "A-A-Ron"😂😂😂 This show is so damn good!!! ✌️❤️ Britt!!
The reason Aaron is spelled that way is because it was originally a Hebrew name and when the Greeks translated it they had to add another 'a' to reproduce the sound in a way that worked for their language.
Lets not forget that all these kids did a phenomenal acting job on this video, they were hilarious!
I have a weak feeling they didn't even know who he was or even knew the camera(s) were there.
@@DeusExMachina0000000 theyre actors so definitely knew. Jacquelin was in scream TV series for instance
@@MarcoSubZero it was an expression/joke.
@@DeusExMachina0000000
Yeah the kids were amazing

Because they done messed up. They know what they did.
@@jerolddavis that’s right…
This is true. My name is Aaron and people were calling me A-A-ron before i ever heard of this skit
Oh, yes! My son's best friend is named Aaron. I have literally NEVER pronounced his name correctly 😂😂
My pet is named A.A.Ron

The one with the hats was hilarious too.
I had a substitute teacher who would tell stories about his time in the Korean War for the entire hour. I think I learned more from him than any of my other teachers.
i had a history teach who rode a motorcycle who did the same... That man taught me more in 5 minutes than i had in all 4 HS years.
I have seen this skit a few times already but watching you dissolving in laughter made it all new again.
Aaron Rodgers introduced himself before a game as A-a-ron
A-Aron Rod-Gers
When the 1st skit aired, it took about 1 minute before t-shirts were printed with "Ya Done Messed Up, A-A-Ron!"
Instant classic.
I've seen this dozens of times, but I've never enjoyed it as much as I did watching you see it for the first time. I was laugh/crying watching you. Thanks for blessings us again with your bright, uplifting spirit.
+1
I totally agree! Britt was awesome!!
she is the best... the skit is straight up on point but Britt is gorgeously beautiful and her laugh... her laugh is above top shelf.
Their Football names sketch is hilarious as well. The way they put personality in each person is on point. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
The one that's just a jackhammer sound kills me.
Part 3 with the actual NFL players is great with the A-A-ron throwback.
This one and part II are two of the best skits ever , imo.
I've seen this skit dozens of times but I never cried laughing until I saw your reaction to it. Frickin' hilarious. 😂
Britt losing it to the cloth is the best.
Key's coach Hines from MAD TV skits are LEGENDARY 😂 hahahaha

Another group of reactions I am here for every time! Key and Peele are legends in my eyes! :) Love them!
Key & Peele was the absolute funniest show. And it was a pummeling effect of one after the other brilliant sketches.
The man who helped write this sketch won an Oscar. He's kind of a genius
Loved laughing along with you ha ha. So funny. Yes Blake is so shy and timid, but he comes at him, ha ha. Classic.
They’re both unequivocally ,absolutely brilliant! Total genius’s on another level!
I do gig delivery. Whenever I get one of those names, that's how I ask for them at the restaurant and who I ask for upon delivery. I get very good tips doing this. 😂
Glad to see you laugh beyond your experience!
Also, to be beside yourself sounds like a great place to be!

I would love to see the blooper real of these skits. No way everyone held it together through the whole thing.
And he is absolutely the NICEST guy in real life.
This skit is legendary 😂😂😂
Your reaction are so good and perfect . Thank you
Well, you find out about people when you find out about them. I found out about Key & Peele back when they were on MadTV, back in 1995. 😁
I’ve seen this and the second substitute teacher skit years ago and I still quote them to this day. I even wanted to name my son Aaron cause of this video and my wife wasn’t going for it 🤣
and it is always as good as the first time... even when you know what is about to happen... and Britt is just Beauty so there is that.

they crazy! and it gets better! trying not to laugh when your friend is crying still has me in tears!
A fantastic reaction. Your "new" laugh is great. I can never get enough of this skit.
Key & Peele are hilarious 😂
I love all their stuff, especially their gangster sketches but the Valets are the best!!!
Probably my favorite skits from Key and Peele! Check out Mexican Standoff, Catcalling, Is This Country song racist, If farts were names, and more! Hysterical!
"I'm the president of the Glee club ... (Why do I talk?)". PRICELESS!

The look on B'Lakay's face is the best.
"I gotta pick up my daughter" - LOL.
So glad to see you enjoy this one so much! I'm sure many would agree you have to see the East/West Bowl skits... they will destroy you lol!
I lose it on the Denise (De-nice) segment. Her tone while saying her name correctly and then gives up. It's like she says "whatever" to him without saying the word. 🤣 🤣 🤣
This one is just pure genius. Probably watched it 50 times so far, it's ridiculous.
I have seen this over 20 times and you made me laugh cry again 😂 never gets old.
I've seen this clip a hundred times, but seeing someone watch it for the first time always cracks me up again!
This will stay in my phone memory filel for life!!!!😂
I would love to see the outtakes from those skits! I wonder how many times someone busted up laughing?
I love this sketch. I live in Philly, and there are a lot of times, I don't guess at pronunciation. Each person I meet has to tell me what to call them.
Your reaction is PRICELESS ! I reacted the same way you did , just continuous ! Keep it up !❤
When this came out I had a friend that was named Aaron. Man he hated it when I would call him A'aron. Used to crack me and the rest of our friends up.
They brought the character back for a Paramount + ad and it's just as good as the sketches.
This is great humor, and it proves it's okay to make fun of and laugh at each other, just like the good ole days!
Notice the clipboard he broke in half in the first part is taped back together in the second part 😂
Seeing her break is so great lol.
You are cracking me up Britt! I love your laugh so much my eyes are crying 😂

This is one of their best skits from this show. A-A-Ron is my favorite because he's like the main target. Always being to O'Shaunessy's office.
I've seen this skit many times but watching you laugh had me laughing tears
Your laugh is stinking contagious!!😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
My favorite part is always seeing the exact moment that Denise gives up on life.
K&P do a skit on college football introductions that is ALSO about names... love to see that reaction!
Concur. Those were hilarious.
My favorite part is the looks on the kids' faces, especially Aaron. Priceless!
This skit is a great companion piece to their 'college football' sketches. Those things still make me laugh.
I would have LOVED having Mr. Garvey as a sub. Your falling out was pretty funny, too!
As a non-native speaker, it actually took me *ages*, not to mention countless rewatches to catch the "chess" quip. Hurtful... truthful! 😮😅
East/West bowl is awesome also.
Thank you for this vid. That moment of realization that came onto your face after hearing the first name, was legendary.
These guys are insanely talented! Their show is great and now Jordan Peele is one of the best horror movie show Director.
