That lady Dr(?) misinterpreted the study. Just because 60% of women are in fwb doesn’t mean they wouldn’t prefer to be in a relationship or that they didn’t get attached. And pointing out only 10% moved to a real relationship, again does not indicate women didn’t want one. More often than not, it’s men who don’t want one. Many women would have chosen to bump it up if their male partner were willing. So what’s likely happening here is that most of the 60% of these women are only in fwb because they’re hoping their partner will one day want to commit. Unfortunately, because of the way men compartmentalizations, that’s unlikely to happen. And that’s why we only see 10% of them shift to a relationship.
It has to do with time and responsibilities aswell. Rather the couple really like each other or not all they can offer is casual dating. It works for me. I have work, school and trying to manage a small business on the side in the near future.
