Impressed with how this turned out and really enjoyed watching it unfold in this video. I am not surprised you are approached so often by companies. You have an obvious creative talent.
Yolanda, would you please make a list of the Sennlier oil pastels you use most often for your portraits? I am going through a few of your videos and trying to match them to a Sennlier color chart. This would be good for all of your thousands of followers. Please let me know.
I like the way you gently layer them.I tried this technic with Crayola last year but they do not layer unfortunatletly. I need to try neocolors in the future.
I have no idea, I don’t think I ever tried Crayolas, we had Plastidecor and it was too many years ago to remember 🤣 but these layer very nicely in my opinion
I confess, I have never dared to color green, blue, and purple with skin tone. Because I'm not sure if it will turn out well or not. How much quantity is required and how? But this is a good observation in your clip. Thanks for showing it to me and it's great. Mariss :)
I can relate! It takes a while and just to give it a go, the worst thing that can happen is that you don’t like the result but you can always start over. In this case was easy because the photo already showed many blue and purple shades in his skin. I love purples in shadows regardless ☺️
This is the most magnificent drawing and coloring that I have ever seen! I have Neo ll’s and a small set of Neo l’s. This is the first time I’ve seen them used like this…. Dry. Stunning! I wish I knew how to draw and shade so I could try this. I’m still learning how to draw pencil portraits. I love your talent! ❤❤❤❤ How did you sharpen them with such a nice point?
Thank you so much! You’re very kind ❤️ it takes time but if you want you can practice shading and drawing in monochrome with just one Neocolor as well, depending on how much pressure you add, you get a nice range of values. I sharpen them with a regular sharpener, the kind that has two holes for different pencils sizes
Lovely demonstration 😊 I’m still not a crayon fan. When it comes to sponsored content I’m not opposed to it if it’s for materials you care about and have the freedom to make the content of your choice. Some companies try be dictatorial about the video in exchange for the materials so I can understand the hesitancy.
Thanks a lot! 🥰 Even more if you don’t like crayons, I never thought I would. Thats one of the reasons but it’s also difficult to clearly say the things that you don’t like about a “free” product, although actually it’s not free at all, you just don’t pay for it with money
I don't know how you do it. I cannot get these to lay down well on any surface I try. I only have 10, and I guess it's going to stay that way! I enjoyed watching your process though! Thanks for sharing.
Oh that's weird. Mine glide in any paper and they feel very buttery. But this happens to me with the luminance. Everyone says they are buttery and soft and mine are dry and sound like pastel pencils, not buttery at all. Maybe they are duds
Honestly I do not watch sponsored content at all, maybe because I am envy. I have never recived any offers myself. Honestly at this point I would refuse too, unless there will be something I want to buy anyways. Or got payed on top of art supplies because there is just to much work to produce the video, to make it for free. One more thing I actually saw much smaller chanels than mine get freebies, but not me.
Please don’t be offended, many things like the language of your channel and your audience have a big play in whether companies reach out to you or not, and have nothing to do with the quality of your work. What you’ve mentioned bothers me probably the most, making a painting, record it nicely and edit it takes maaaaany hours, and all of that is unpaid work, basically free for them.
@@YolandaBlazquez yeh, i know. I just hate how companies operate. So let say I live in US, but make videos in Russian. So nobody will sponsor me, because russian companies can't send me their stuff and US can't send me theirs because it is different market. But it is ok I don't need companies. Let say Artixx send free stuff both US and russian art blogers but will not send it to me because I am not one or another.😅
@@YolandaBlazquezno listen, russians get free offers all the time too, there are a lot of slavic speaking people around the globe I bet there are at least half a billion. The shipping is the problem there is no shiping between Russia and US. Anyway you are the great example you can grow without bs free art supplies sponsors. 😂
I like what you said about getting a colored pencil look with these. I haven't seen anyone else use them so delicately! I'm going to try this.

Thank you so much! I think it has more to do with reach and audience than it does with the quality or lack of it 🙈
Beautiful precious moments❤ Looking forward to watching (and rewatching) you painting in this video!
Thank you so much! ❤ Personal (even if little) projects like this are always my favorite works
Sooo beautiful.I always try to do my arts like yours❤
AMAZING! THANK YOU FOR THIS INSPIRING DEMO! CHEERS!
Beautiful painting
Thank you! 🥰
Beautiful painting. The struggle brings everything.
Hi Yolanda ❤I really like babies, so this painting is so lovely. If the end wears out after using this, Can I sharpen it and use it like a pencil?
Waiting for your new video... pls upload soon

What sharpener do you use to get such a sharp point?! Thanks x

Beautifully done and a wonderful demonstration. I’m curious, what do you use to sharpen the neo colors? Do you have a sharpener or do you use a knife?
Thanks a lot! I use a sharpener, it’s much more convenient. It needs to be one for bigger pencils

@@YolandaBlazquezRight you pay for it with your labor, especially if your channel is already succesful and influential this is not a fair trade.

I’m surprised by that! Could they be old? They go for me even on this satiny paper (Moleskine sketchbook)
Uh I have quite a number of luminance pencils and I find some are soft and powdery dry (not waxy) while others are straight scratchy
Jolanda 🤗💓
Que lindo ❤️❤❤❤❤
🔥🔥🔥👍
Thank you ❤️
so nice 🥰🤩😍
Thank you 🥰🥰
You don’t activate the color with water?
As always, i love this piece as well. And i would love to see the sponsored game if they give you the freedom to speak freely
I’m glad that you like it ❤️ I may make a video about it
Please make a video of a brown skin man with beard using oil pastels

Yeah 😅 that could happen but I think the language is the biggest barrier. I’m in the Czech Republic but it helps that my videos are in English
