- A great sketchbook idea for beginners or anyone trying to get creative in your sketchbook. I'm using Caran d'Ache Neocolor II water soluble wax pastels and Stabilo Woodys to draw and paint using intuition. Sketch along with me as I complete a few pages of my Moleskine sketchbook, and try Bristol paper for the first time.

I have noticed the same thing about trying to color on top of a wet area on the paper with the Neocolor ll Aquarelles. It was great to hear you acknowledge it because I thought it was just me. LOL! I enjoy hearing the kinds of “creative thoughts” you’re having along in the process. Thank you for encouraging people to play with art! I have been “afraid” to pick up my art supplies and actually use them. I bought the exact same sketchbook (in 2022) that you are showing, and I have just started being a little more brave to play in it. My inner child thanks you, also! 😊

I love this type of art ! I draw, but I don't test new things, I don't really now how to deviate from the reference photo, so I just copy it and.. I don't really see any purpose in this. It serves my art, by training myself to draw different subjects, but I don't turn it into my art. So I think just play around on the paper, making lines and see where it brings me can really help me with this part, thanks !

Hello - can you tell me what waterbrush pens you use with neocolour crayons - I have the Mr Pen set but I’m finding those too soft.
I have an older set that look like the Mr Pen set. I don’t remember what the brand name was and I don’t have the container for them anymore. But they are pretty soft bristled.
