You can even see this in Hal̥egannadā(old Kannada) where Kannada was already distinct from Tamil but many did not contain nearly as much Sanskrit influence as there is now.
Moreover, just because a language has influence from another people group does not mean it ceases to be Dravidian. English is 70%-80% Latin/Romance derived words but is still considered a Germanic language because it's roots and core words are still Germanic.

It is good to see Indian history is rewritten. Unfortunately, it is sad to note no one from Hindi belt take seriously the Keezhadi finding. In fact more archeologists and historian from north should have taken a much more interest in such finding.
When people fail to take such finding as important the entire history of India will be a tailored story. There can be controversy and opposing views. Keeping eyes shut to emerging new findings is highly flawed. Everyone in India does not seem to happy over Keezhadi findings.
Our judiciary should intervene and ensure history is based on truth.
Protect keezhadi and establish correct history.

Aryan -Dravidian divide was not created by foreigners. Both the words are Sanskrit and are found in Sanskrit and Vedic texts. Arya means noble or exalted. Some people thought they were superior to others. Who were the people compared with? Surely not someone living in Africa or Japan.

Pujari Basdeo is credited for creating the centers of Madrassi -Tamil form of worship in Guyana, Trinidad, Canada and the United States. This also highlights the bone of contention in Tamil heartland, where Tamils are fervently seeking to bring back worship in their mother tongue Tamil as language of worship in temples usurped by Sanskrit which was invented for precision purposes and it is nobody's mother tongue.
After75 years of independence, Tamils are finally seeing light, under the administration of the recently elected Tamil Nadu government where Chief Minister of M.K. Stalin (He wrote a letter of congratulations in Tamil language addressed to Jamaican-Tamil United States Vice President Kamala Devi Harris.) , invoked a proclamation that as of 6th August 2022 , Tamil speaking devotees whose mother tongue is Tamil will be able to pray in the Tamil language, conducted by Tamil "Pujaris" in 47 temples in the State of Tamil Nadu ursurped by priests conduct prayers in Sanskrit which is nobody's mother tongue.

Why do we have to always reference from Indus Valley Civilization? That was one civilization! ..not the only one in India at the time. Entire India had fertile land, Dense forest, Perineal river ..so many Civilization like Keeladi may have been contemporary or even older than Indus
For instance, River Saraswati dried up before Indus Valley Civilization (3300 BCE) ..and Rigveda talks about it, also in Mahabharata. Mahabharata also talks about Kings from South who helped in the War, so South had civilization way before Indus valley or RakhiGhari .

There is a constant push by Northies/Brahmins to continuously try to push this agenda that we are all the same, no proof of Aryan-Migration theory, or it never happened.
No, Tamil civilization is completely independent of the Vedic-Hindu religion (Braminic-Hinduism). We are a different people group.
Yes, we all live in India now in this contemporary world, and we can live in peace. But please do not deny our identity by saying we are the same, because we are obviously not. We were almost always different people groups throughout history with significantly different practices.
I genuinely believe we are followers of Tamil Folk Lore religion, that's our actual root, with a mix of ancestor worship, hero stone worship, agamic, tantric, animism and a pinch of Vedic-Hinduism too. What we are today is an amalgamation of all the above.
True Tamil religion can be found in smaller villages of Tamil Nadu and Kerala even today.
Among the few reasons how we were able to decipher all these is because of Sri Lanka. It was never introduced with Vedic-Hinduism, because the Aryan Vedic-Hindu migratory group truly believed crossing the sea, they lose their caste, whether we like them or not, they were a very pious believer group.
Even in geographic distribution, we can see a much higher % of the Brahminical-Hindus up north, and almost non-existent in South-India, especially in Kerala/TN.
Among the other reasons is meat consumption, which is much higher in South than North. Because South is a Pre-Vedic culture. We do not fall under the Varna-Classification that the North/Vedic-Hindus tried put us into.
Honestly, I am truly fascinated by History, regardless of what happened we need to uncover it and accept it as it and encourage all conflicting/prevailing theories to come to a consensus.
FYI - Caste system is the worst thing that happened to Hinduism. Were it not for it, it could have become a global religion.

It's high time we stop calling it the "Brahmi" script. Actually, nobody knows the name of the script. When great Indologists like Jones and Princep began their research in the 19the Century, they came across the Ashokan inscriptions but could not read them at first. They asked their Indian interpreters, who were mostly Brahmin pundits. These Brahmins also failed to read the script, but they claimed that this script belongs to their forefathers, who were Vedic Brahmins. That is how the name "Brahmi" got coined, and it has stuck on since then.
Later, when the Brahmi script was indeed deciphered, experts realized that it had absolutely no connection with the Vedic culture. In fact, Vedic Aryans probably had no writing tradition at all.
