We have each other when times are tough. I'm 20 months in having connected with some the the most phenomenally kind supportive uplifting humans around the world. This community gives me so much strength, and joy in my day to day life. They are there for me through the toughest times. Once you get to the Money Game series I'll write more on the ARG Ren ran this time last year. It was incredibly bonding and fun. During that I added a lot of Renegades on socials. And these people are with me through thick & thin. That's given me the fight to keep going through complex physical and cognitive disability. A few weeks ago I had a close brush with death, was found unresponsive by friends who couldn't get hold of me, and who broke into my house. Turns out I had serotonin syndrome, but it was misdiagnosed for the first five days I was in hospital. Since then my blood pressure and pulse have not maintained "homestasis" in going so low I shouldn't have been able to talk, and do high I was also at just as much risk of losing consciousness. It was Renegades, including Renegade doctors, who helped me prep "interrogation" for my medical team. I've finally started on a medication that is working, one suggested to discuss with my doctors. This crew will just as readily talk you through fixing your car, as they will an adverse medication reaction, or a difficult break up. Once you're a few Ren tracks in come find us, we hang out on Facebook (myself mainly in Ren's Rabbithole Fans) but we're everywhere that could be considered a social platform. @@thechildishreaction

The chronically ill, people who've struggled with mental illness, those that have been gaslit by the medical industry, musicians, those who've lost loved ones to suicide... The list goes on. His fan base is quite varied!

Ren's still chronically ill, with a whole plethora of serious conditions. He tires really easily, has to have almost the exact same meal, every single mealtime, as he's severely allergic to virtually all food, has permanent damage to his body and brain and suffers constant, 24hr pain! He's no longer bedridden, he can sleep and the psychosis has gone. He's better than he was certainly but he's not "better". This isn't criticism btw, just info. :) A lot of people discover Ren, learn a little of his backstory and think he WAS ill but he's ok now. He's only recently returned from Canada, where he was receiving daily, intensive, experimental treatments, for 18 months. He'll probably remain chronically ill for the rest of his life and on an insane amount of medication. Especially as his MCAS can only be slowed, not halted and with his autoimmunity (mainly MCAS induced) having become worse. They reckon that they've managed to eliminate Lyme's and it's associated pathogens but the damage has already been done. Re' his mental health, he has adhd,which he describes as a pain in the arse but when it comes to his music, it's like having a superpower! He also suffers from ptsd and chronic depression and anxiety. As for the music industry part of the song, Ren is a fully independent artist. No label, no financial backing, no PR machine or publicist, no management company. Every label under the Sun has tried to sign Ren. He's turned them all down! With Ren it really is all about the music! :) Despite his serious health issues, despite no industry backing, despite being unable to tour or promote his work and despite being out of the country, in the middle of his treatment in Canada... Ren made history last year! He became the first fully independent artist to achieve a number 1 UK album! Knocking Drake off the top spot in the process! It also went top 10 in several other countries, topped the US hip-hop album chart and went to number 1 on the iTunes worldwide chart! An unprecedented achievement! :) Ren's talents are unmatched. He writes and performs in EVERY genre, brilliantly and he doesn't miss! He has incredible vocals, that I can't wait for you to experience fully, capable of multiple voices, styles and tones. He's actually won a whole load of major international awards for his videos! His songwriting is world-class! Especially his lyricism. The pig mask figure is repeated through Ren's art and I think just represents greed and inhumanity. The pig in the slaughter house. Instead of the pig being killed, the pig is doing the killing. It represents the medical system and chemical companies that just want to make a profit at the expense of the lives of patients. But it also represents big business and governments that say they want to help people and are just after wealth and power.
Ive never experienced a fan base like this. Ive never been prouder to belong to a group of people because i have seen that they mean it. We all are just flawed little Misfit Toys who just want to make things better. Even when there is a slight argument in the group, it is dealt with with respect and more love than I've seen from some blood families. I'm so happy for you. ❤

I think what makes Ren's followers so loyal is his backstory. Rens channel has 8 chapters where he talks about his journey through life. Too long for a review but well worth the time to watch.
The line 'losing patience/patients with the process' always gets to me. There's also frustration from within the medical and care sectors, as hands are often tied due to (lack of) funding so people that could be helped aren't, they're left to suffer, and fight for appropriate/adequate health care alone when they're at their most vulnerable, and can't. The first half of this is about the medical industry the second half is about him having almost been able to get big, he signed with Sony when he was I believe 17 or 19. But that's when he got sick and they dropped him. You'll see that he wears in his song troubles a sweater that says Hollywood spat me out. It's the reason that he is remaining independent and refuses to sign with a label. Everything he's doing is a team of very close friends and they are Paving an incredible way! The fact he's been able to do what he's been able to without a record label tells you the kind of human that he is and why his fans are so passionate about him
The pig is a reoccurring theme that he has said he likes people to interpret it for themselves, he does have an idea of what it means to him which seems to be greed. It's throughout many of his videos. To me the pig 🐷 is corruption and greed in the world. Whether it’s corruption in the medical industry or,music industry or just humankind as a whole. It embodies the “bad” parts of society in general. Atleast that’s how I see it, from watching his videos and where he has the pig mask. And yes the REN-egades are amazing and one of my fav parts of watching reactions (besides getting to see ppls mind blown at all he can do). The support and uplifting Renegades have is truly a breath of fresh air. And the more is see of RENs character…the more it makes sense, he is such a beautiful person inside and out (and mad funny 😅.) he absolutely amazes me and has definitely helped me at the point I’m at in my life. @@lauragarza1143hugs and understanding. It is the most deeply traumatising terrifying thing. Where we become afraid of ourselves, but also don't know the exact hows or whys. Then the slip into monitoring every thought, feeling and action, checking its rationality. I had 8 years between my first serious psychotic episode and a similar but completely different event where I lost myself (serotonin syndrome.) What I can say is that Ren helped a lot, directly chatting with our discord group about how experience and it was the first time I fully opened up. Because it was "normal" or at least acceptable and not shunnable. And I somehow lost my fear of it happening again. That made me reach out when I was starting to feel "weird" with serotonin syndrome a few weeks ago, and the friends who broke in to check on me saved my life. All because of a lack of fear, therefore not fearing racing out. Watch his 1m subscribers video on defining success to understand what I mean ❤ Anyway our favourite sick boi is pure authenticity and fire 🔥 He has been through hell and he has turned it all into art that helps other people. I think a perfect follow up to this track is one of my personal favourites that doesn’t get nearly as much attention as it deserves: Crutch feat. Bibi. It’s an older song from before Ren was finally correctly diagnosed with Lyme disease and was written after a breakdown following multiple emergency trips to the hospital. It is heart wrenching and stunning. If Sick Boi is an expression of the built up frustrations from being misdiagnosed for years, Crutch is the earlier fear when getting sick and not knowing what is happening to you. The song is also very different from everything else in his catalogue 🐰🕳️

My thing is that I'm not doing this for anything but to connect with him and people in my community. I'm an empath at heart and you can see from some older videos with Dax I feel the artist and the story because my life hasn't been easy and it hits me too, so I guess their stories mimic some of my experiences

Grats on 2k subs ;) You are correct, it is the same room as Hi Ren. When they got permission to go back to complete Hi Ren they used the opportunity to do this one as well. For Ren it was much worse because they were treating him with drugs that actually made his Lyme disease worse and did insane damage to his organs. His song "Troubles" explains a lot about just how bad it got. Ren has described the pig as "the comfortable discomfort". The thing you know is bad but you tell yourself it's what you need because it's comfortable, it makes you feel safe (or you're told that).
Ren is a survivor. His backstory is what made me support his music journey. Plus his incredible talents. I will be on this journey with you also. Peace out!

He can also write very introverted lyrics at times, but does have a good sense of humour and is not afraid to laugh at himself, or the absurdity of the world we find ourselves in. Just wait till you get to the Money Game Trilogy, I think you will get it. The pig. Ren has many connections to the pig mask (His friend Vic often wears it in Ren's videos). In a Zack Sang Show interview, he mentioned both Animal Farm and Donny Darko. There is a short segment of it if you google it. Medical butchers, greed, companionship, ... it's meaning has evolved for Ren and now has different meanings depending on the song or context. Just saying it represents Greed is selling his relationship with it short. A logo of it became the Sick Boi album logo, so there is that extra connection now. I'm not sure if Ren has defined the symbolism of the pig - he may have - but for me, the pig seems to represent darkness and destruction in the world - institutions, corporations, everything that sucks people and the earth dry. Money Game 1 is another fave of mine. There's a Money Game series that is just brilliant.
You will get a few over enthusiastic Renegades, and will get TONS of opinions. Take it all with a grain of salt, but overall we are a pretty great group and are all about the wave of positivity. Thank you. I will be back for each reaction you do for Ren. I love watching your reaction. Your face says it all. The pig mask figure is repeated through Ren's art and I think just represents greed and inhumanity. The pig in the slaughter house. Instead of the pig being killed, the pig is doing the killing. It represents the medical system and chemical companies that just want to make a profit at the expense of the lives of patients. But it also represents big business and governments that say they want to help people and are just after wealth and power.

Ive never experienced a fan base like this. Ive never been prouder to belong to a group of people because i have seen that they mean it. We all are just flawed little Misfit Toys who just want to make things better. The line 'losing patience/patients with the process' always gets to me. There's also frustration from within the medical and care sectors, as hands are often tied due to (lack of) funding so people that could be helped aren't, they're left to suffer, and fight for appropriate/adequate health care alone when they're at their most vulnerable, and can't.

The first half of this is about the medical industry the second half is about him having almost been able to get big, he signed with Sony when he was I believe 17 or 19. But that's when he got sick and they dropped him. You'll see that he wears in his song troubles a sweater that says Hollywood spat me out. It's the reason that he is remaining independent and refuses to sign with a label. Everything he's doing is a team of very close friends and they are Paving an incredible way! The fact he's been able to do what he's been able to without a record label tells you the kind of human that he is and why his fans are so passionate about him

The pig is a reoccurring theme that he has said he likes people to interpret it for themselves, he does have an idea of what it means to him which seems to be greed. It's throughout many of his videos. I think this is the video so many fell in love with him before because it tells our own stories of what we went through in the medical industry I really think a good one for you to watch next is troubles because it tells his personal experience through the years and if you really want to realize what he's went through that's the one! To me the pig 🐷 is corruption and greed in the world. Whether it’s corruption in the medical industry or,music industry or just humankind as a whole. It embodies the “bad” parts of society in general. Atleast that’s how I see it, from watching his videos and where he has the pig mask.
And yes the REN-egades are amazing and one of my fav parts of watching reactions (besides getting to see ppls mind blown at all he can do). The support and uplifting Renegades have is truly a breath of fresh air. And the more is see of RENs character…the more it makes sense, he is such a beautiful person inside and out (and mad funny 😅.) he absolutely amazes me and has definitely helped me at the point I’m at in my life.

For me the pig represents the way "we", in our culture, try to solve suffering. Where it's almost only about the success of the solving instead of the human beings who are suffering.

@@lauragarza1143hugs and understanding. It is the most deeply traumatising terrifying thing. Where we become afraid of ourselves, but also don't know the exact hows or whys. Then the slip into monitoring every thought, feeling and action, checking its rationality.
I had 8 years between my first serious psychotic episode and a similar but completely different event where I lost myself (serotonin syndrome.)
What I can say is that Ren helped a lot, directly chatting with our discord group about how experience and it was the first time I fully opened up. Because it was "normal" or at least acceptable and not shunnable.
And I somehow lost my fear of it happening again. That made me reach out when I was starting to feel "weird" with serotonin syndrome a few weeks ago, and the friends who broke in to check on me saved my life. All because of a lack of fear, therefore not fearing racing out.

Anyway our favourite sick boi is pure authenticity and fire 🔥 He has been through hell and he has turned it all into art that helps other people. I think a perfect follow up to this track is one of my personal favourites that doesn’t get nearly as much attention as it deserves: Crutch feat. Bibi. It’s an older song from before Ren was finally correctly diagnosed with Lyme disease and was written after a breakdown following multiple emergency trips to the hospital. It is heart wrenching and stunning. If Sick Boi is an expression of the built up frustrations from being misdiagnosed for years, Crutch is the earlier fear when getting sick and not knowing what is happening to you. The song is also very different from everything else in his catalogue 🐰🕳️

The references he makes regarding medication is the unnecessary meds they gave him that made him even sicker than he was, because they couldn't bother trying to find out what was really wrong.

My thing is that I'm not doing this for anything but to connect with him and people in my community. I'm an empath at heart and you can see from some older videos with Dax I feel the artist and the story because my life hasn't been easy and it hits me too, so I guess their stories mimic some of my experiences

Grats on 2k subs ;) You are correct, it is the same room as Hi Ren. When they got permission to go back to complete Hi Ren they used the opportunity to do this one as well. For Ren it was much worse because they were treating him with drugs that actually made his Lyme disease worse and did insane damage to his organs. His song "Troubles" explains a lot about just how bad it got.
Ren has described the pig as "the comfortable discomfort". The thing you know is bad but you tell yourself it's what you need because it's comfortable, it makes you feel safe (or you're told that).

He can also write very introverted lyrics at times, but does have a good sense of humour and is not afraid to laugh at himself, or the absurdity of the world we find ourselves in.

The pig. Ren has many connections to the pig mask (His friend Vic often wears it in Ren's videos). In a Zack Sang Show interview, he mentioned both Animal Farm and Donny Darko. There is a short segment of it if you google it. Medical butchers, greed, companionship, ... it's meaning has evolved for Ren and now has different meanings depending on the song or context. Just saying it represents Greed is selling his relationship with it short. A logo of it became the Sick Boi album logo, so there is that extra connection now.

I'm not sure if Ren has defined the symbolism of the pig - he may have - but for me, the pig seems to represent darkness and destruction in the world - institutions, corporations, everything that sucks people and the earth dry. Money Game 1 is another fave of mine. There's a Money Game series that is just brilliant.
