You were spot on when you said that Jenny was a lady of the night. Not many people catch on to that! Even more shocking at the end when you realise that Jenny is only 14 as well!
@@thechildishreactionren is a shit-stirrer because he's also said the opposite. 😅 But the point is that if we were just focusing on a teenage prostitute getting murdered in another crime, its already blaming the victim. And Jenny is a victim that didn't need society blaming her for her death. Jenny was 14, had walked home alone at night in high heels, was desperate to escape her life. Ren tells us she was a product of the system too, just as much as Screech, and maybe she had a choice in a way to make money to escape that life but it feels like there isn't much choice. She's just surviving, like Screech was just surviving. The Tales weren't written with Jenny and Screech originally thought of as siblings. The first tale was based of a news report on a young prostitute being stabbed near her home. And a quote from that news report "it's such a shame" The second tale was introduced with a novel & risky promo idea before the release. Ren put out he'd had his phone stolen. The thief got into his socials and posted the type of content you'd expect from a teenage delinquent... pranking his best mate, his girlfriend, petty crimes, violence, serious crimes, and a lot of inappropriate posts on Ren's socials. I mean the kiddy called himself Screech, and Ren told his fans something completely different would be happening but to not freak out. Problem was a lot of Ren's fans didn't get the memo were calling the police, reporting the 'crimes' all fake, reporting every post, pleading with Screech to give the phone back. Ren almost lost his instagram, lost a huge amount of fans, was down to his final warning, but had sunk too much into the promo and just hoped the pay-off would be worth it. He started alt accounts for Screech, did an announcement, and ran out the final few bits of content on screech's separate socials to make the lead up to moment Screech meets violet. Then released Screech's tale. Hev wanted us to see screech's humanity and that we're all just one or two bad decisions away from being the villains in our own tale. It was in trying to write Violet's tale that he realised Jenny and Screech were twins. That maybe somewhere deep in his head he knew that. Btw we had to do a video "choose your own adventure" across a LOT instagram accounts for part of The Money Game competition last year. It opens on Stevie, after the seagulls, still in the room with Violet. To successfully pass that part of the days puzzle we each had to get Stevie out of the city alive, really just through the the night alive. It was deeply disturbing and had some wonderful horror themes too. But its amazing how quickly we each found ourselves kinda rooting for Stevie. Not necessarily wanting him escaping consequences but certainly not wanting him dead. You will live the VR 360° street performance concert of this. There is extra poetry but also a lot of insight into Ren's intentions. Ultimately doesn't matter if Jenny is a prostitute, other than if Jenny is JUST a prostitute
@Skittenmeow what an amazing break down you are a awesome 👌 having subscribers like you really help me understand him more and I truly appreciate it 😊 it would be a sad story if she was 14 but this is true in some parts of the world
@@danielbeard7045 Yes, but we already knew that. And when you think of how she was walking the streets in high heels in the middle of the night? We can assume that she was "working", at 14.
If you're willing to do two in one video, do the official video "Murderer", and then do the live acoustic version!! It blows me away how Ren can totally reinvent his own songs. I absolutely adore both versions! Just started this vid, SO excited!!!
The reactors who get it the first time are the BEST! CONGRATS! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 it never gets old. Still one of my favorite things to watch reactors see. God bless 💗🙏🏼🇺🇸
Ren's Bardcore is second to none. He's working on new Tales now. This one is dark but exposes the age old problem of generational violence. You should probably do something more upbeat next. I saw Losing It and Power as suggestions. Both of those are excellent. You could also add The Hungar, Uninvited and Love Music 1-4 to those. Also, any the songs busking with The Big Push. I Shot the Sheriff/Road to Zion/Hip Hop and Warpigs (Black Sabbath Cover) where Ren is wearing red suspenders (braces) are great. Very nice reaction. Appreciate you!
@hummingbirdstones ill absolutely check those out I really enjoyed these tales even if it's dark, it's apart of the struggle in these broken homes. Thanks for the comment
They didn'y just grow up missing a mother. They grew up missing a father too. Stevie would have even been in prison for murder, or on the run. On the small chance that he was acquitted, there's no way he would have been allowed to raise those children and I doubt he would have wanted to anyway, considering his character. Jenny and James would have grown up in the care system and were obviously separated at a young age. They definitely didn't know each other when they met, which just adds another layer of tragedy. It's positively Shakespearean! :)
What about the fact that they both took after there parents. Jenny would just freeze up just like mum when something bad would happen, and James would be just a violent as his dad. It’s just one big circle violence 😢
SO nice to see people appreciate this artist for the wonder he is ! I am 65 and he is by far my favorite human being besides my children and mom on this planet ! Much love Ren !!
Aside from being a multi talented artist who can seemingly do it all… He is also an exceptional human being. Ren changes people. I’ve seen it happen again and again. He has this amazing ability to put a mirror in front of our faces to not only inspire… Which he does beautifully… But he also starts conversations about difficult, even excruciating, topics… bring them to the forefront to make us see it and deeply feel it. And, God willing, change it. Stop it. Prevent it. That is an insanely rare and profoundly special thing for an artist. And proof of that SHINES in the caliber and character of his fan base. He truly has Shakespearean levels of talent and depth that could very well lead to him standing among the greatest that have ever been. And I absolutely do not say that lightly. I’ve had my fair share of trips around the sun, and I have not been excited about an artist in quite a long time. But there is simply nobody like Ren. A once in a generation artist. There are musicians and then there are artists. Ren Never fails to prove which one you are watching. Welcome to the Renaissance! ☮️♥️
Since watching this I found out Violet is code used in hospitals for DV, Jennifer and James are used instead of Jane and John Doe. Meaning it could be anyone this happens to. The man is a genius and I love that he’s bringing these tough topics to the fore to make us stop and think and hopefully put a stop to it. Great reaction 👍
Oooh, i was so excited for this one!! We all had to rewire our brain at the end of this song😂 You didn't get hit by any ordinary train, you got hit by a tREN😂 I'd suggest finishing the 'Ren starter pack' with the Money Game trilogy!! Again, could be 3 separate reactions or all in one, although the third one is longer (and a rollercoaster, as always😂)! Afterwards i think it's all a matter of preference! Animal Flow is another iconic Ren song, tho my personal favorites at the moment are Seven Sins and Children Of The Moon (looove the theatrics of this one!! Good for Halloween 😂)! Whatever you pick, i hope you'll enjoy the journey! 🫂
What a GREAT reaction. This is a MASTER CLASS in story telling. I absolutely AGREE Loosing It would be PERFECT to do NEXT. It is fun AND up beat. You have one AMAZING day. ❤🤗❤
Thank you for saying this is something that happens all over the world. No one has said that. Great reaction! Money Game 1-3 you don't have to do them all together, Losing It, The Hunger, and Chalk Outlines Ren and Chinchilla
I HIGHLY recommend the Money Game trilogy. It’s so amazing. #1- music video. #2- LYRIC video. #3- music video. Or for some rap: Genesis, The Hunger, Losing It. Gosh, there’s so much. Enjoy! We are here for it! ☮️♥️
@@thechildishreaction When you do, include 'The story of Eden'. It came out at the conclusion of the 'Money Game' social experiment/competition leading up to the release of MG3, and it's stunningly good, AND very few reactors have reacted it!!
Yayyy! Thanks for another great reaction to Ren's genius. Please don't feel that you need to reply to every comment - you're going to get waaay too big for that, it's just not a realistic expectation for you to place on yourself. We're happy re-experiencing the discovery of Ren's catalog alongside you 🙂
@@yilomina2047 haha 😄 I'll do my best to respond even if it's gets way bigger . It's dedication to those who help grow the channel....like this reply haha
Jenny and Screech were separated at birth and put into care so didn’t know each other. You need also to see a lighter side of Ren. Ren sand The Big Push his ex band busking in the streets covering I shot the sheriff/Zion/hip hop. It will blow your mind. Also Back in 74 shows off his vocals. To understand Sick boi and Kujo beatdown you must first watch his backstory chapters 1 to 8 or even just the 30ish minute video of him explaining why Kujo beatdown is even a thing. Uploaded 6th Sept on his youtube channel Renmakes music. That also will blow your mind. Ren has the kindest soul and his talents are unbelievable considering everything he’s gone through. 💛🎵🏴
Wow, you haven't failed to amaze me with your reactions! I don't think I've ever seen someone pick up on the Lady of the night part the first time watching. You're incredibly smart. Really enjoyed your reaction, keep it going! ❤ There's a really cool 360 live recording of the tales that Ren did a couple of weeks after releasing Violets Tale. Being able to move the camera around makes it feel like you're really there. I suggest giving that a watch, even if it's not as a reaction! 😊 Can't wait to see your next reaction!
Thank you so much again and it will be sad if she was a lady of the night at 14 .... but happens in this crazy world..... always appreciate your comments xxx
Yeh it's a hard tale, but as you've said, reality for many. Please do react to more Ren and his collabs (Chinchilla, Webby, Prof come to mind) and check to his work with The Big Push too. His diversity is huge! The more I watch & hear the more I love what Ren is about and so much resort for his talent, his perseverance and his integrity. :)
Love the reaction dude. I don't know if anyone mentioned that every videos you have reacted to, are a one take video. And there are more but not all of them Also check "The big push", Ren busking band. They are all amazing
Whoop ❤ Hardcore Bardcore ❤😂 Renegades are my favorite people in the world 🌎 Ren posted in his patreon that a new Tales is in the works ❤ I'm soooooo excited 🎉🎉
@@thechildishreactionit's one of my favourites. So fricking smooth, and melodic, and vibing. I'm working with a rescue horse with ptsd at the moment, and the other week we were trying liberty work but I couldn't get her out of her reactive state. I found myself singing Back on 74...thought "fuck it, nothing else has worked" So I put it on, loud, on my phone Her curiosity was immediate and she started to soften her expression. Then very quickly she went down for a roll, an extremely vulnerable state for a horse. Got up, big shake, another roll, a big shake and BIG exhale. Then she was off - first trotting then cantering but making it fit the music. Really showing off in pleasure, almost dancing. Tossing her head around, enjoying herself and truly appreciating the msic. By the time that one song was over she was a different horse. Came up for cuddles, was engaged and listening but not in a "I'm listening because you might hurt me" way. I thought after almost 2 years I'd introduced all the IRL folks I already knew. I have even got my local magpies and black cockatoos crowding in for Ren sessions. I never even considered playing him to get through to a horse that was struggling with anxiety and fear. After my little horse, I played Ren to a group of unhandled flighty young Andalusians who my friend suggested I try getting used to people, as they were a new purchase but she hadn't had any luck getting near them. She said if I can get near then she'll let me help getting them halter trained, and eventually used to a rider. So I lay down in their massive paddock nowhere near them and put a select set of Ren on. By the end of one track I had their curiosity and attention. By the end of an hour they were crowded up around me like you'd hope to see around a decent busker. I don't think it's going to take long to learn that the humans they'll be spending time with are okay to trust, with their two new owners and myself being massive Ren fans. Their owner has now been playing Ren every time she takes down feed for them, and instead of huddling in the trees they are apparently to say hi.
Very enjoyable reaction, Mr. Child. You've struck the magic balance between pausing to insert relevant content, and just watching the video, riveted. There are a lot of newer reactors who only use Ren videos to talk about themselves. They will use Ren's videos as springboards for their own extended rants about whatever issue they think Ren's singing about. For instance, reacting to this same video, they will pause every 5 minutes to talk for 10-15 minutes, not about Ren's song or performance, but about their own upbringing and their opinions about the causes of crime. They seem to think they can say it better with their impulsive words than Ren sings about it using poetic analogies and metaphors. It comes across (to me) as arrogant and disrespectful of Ren's unique abilities and next-level talent. You're the opposite of that, and it's so refreshing to see. BTW, I would like a tour of your aquarium at the start of one of your Ren reactions.
@Snarky_Tart wow thank you so much I appreciate that comment and view on my reactions. I see how that can happen and could be annoying to watch. I hope to stay on point witg his art and story. Thank you so much ❤️
Omg, I'm glad to hear someone speak on something I've been suspicious of .. and not liking watching these new reactors. You said it perfectly! Thank you .. also I love this channel! Sub from the start love your reactions❤
@@thechildishreaction I hope you know I wasn't referring to your channel! I love your channel but I agree with the person's comment about are the reactors trying to launch off of Ren fans... I think you're awesome thanks for the reactions
I've lost count of how many reactions I've watched to this, but yours is right there at the top. Your thoughts throughout were insightful and empathetic. It was a pleasure to watch your mind being blown. Ren is definitely special. He just grips your heart with his storytelling and relatability ❤ He can make you laugh and smile too, so I concur wholeheartedly that you should sprinkle some lighter stuff between the heavier subject matter. 'Losing It' is definitely the way to go. For a heartbeakingly beautiful track, try 'Crutch'. It's sadly under-reacted to, but it's gorgeous. You should also read Ren's description under the video for this one so that it has context. Looking forward to your continuing journey 😊
@tundiel Thank you for the kind words and I'm glad you enjoyed it. He has certainly gripped me as an artist and reasy to see his other fun side for sure haha 😄 I'll check them out for sure
Love your reaction man 👍If you want to continue digging the rabbit hole, listen to Money Game trilogy, make sure you pick the official video for part 2. But before that, if you want to hear Ren sing sing, listen to Back on 74 / Message in a bottle retake. The setting is gorgeous and this live performance is phenomenal, for real 😍 Hope to see you react to this one 🤞 Thanks 😘
INCREDIBLE reaction!!! Ren, the musical time traveler!! And through Violet's tale, he uses the building like another instrument!! And did you notice at the end, Ren was bathed in red lighting, blood red, and at the line "Violet's world turned to black..." he steps into a blue- green light? Right as she had bled to death? I swear I've watched the Tales a hundred times, and I still sometimes notice something new! I adore your reactions, can't wait for more!! Another suggestion, "How to be me" (live), with Chinchilla. They say they're musical siblings, and when they perform together, something absolutely MAGICAL happens!! 💜💜💜
@ZephyrsLoki wow ok ill habebto watch it again to see that how incredible and using the building to change the sound was incredible too thank you so much for tje comment and recommendations 😀
Have you noticed, just as he gets to the last couple of lines there's a light comes on in the shop to the left, I can only imagine what must've gone through Sam's mind if he saw that
Glad to have found you! You sharply picked up on Jenny’s employment. And read the ending in real time. Lots of reactors missed the surprise ending. If you watch it again and again you will pick up more details to ponder such as who is the father of J and S? Why is Stevie going on about her lying? A Rich, complicated story. Kind of like Ren himself.
@K8TDidToo really well it could be in some form to any listener but that's why I said it could be just coming from work. 14 would be crazy young for that work ...but does happen in this world...xx
What’s so great about Ren is he’ll keep on impressing you with each song you react to! I know you’ve been getting a lot of suggestions for songs to do next so if I may I would like to add Seven sins to the list!Ren’s album Sick boi which was released in 2023 which climbed to number 1 in the UK was mostly completed except for the last song he was working on which turned out to be Seven Sins. It leads off the album and is a banger that I think you’ll really enjoy!
Have you seen The Witcher? Dandelion is a Bard. Shakespeare, of course, is known as THE Bard. A storyteller, a wandering minstrel, typically traveling and telling stories while playing a Lute. It’s a lost art that Ren is bringing back to life! ☮️♥️
Using music to teach verbal histories and culturally important events seems like the best way to teach. A bard could immortalise almost trivial successes, or cast disdain onto the successes of foes. They could impact court popularity, change a narrative, and rally the masses. A talented bard was extremely important to a king or lord, as they had the power to completely rewrite their story, capture the small folks hearts, ensure they are being talked about or make any deed look heroic. They could also be politically tactical, and an excellent way of fighting a battle without ever losing a life. A well crafted diss track could utterly ruin an opponent ls name and standing, making them an object of ridicule, and impacting their abilty to lead fighters. I'm all for bards
Found your channel like an hour ago (someone posted your reaction to Hi Ren in the Ren rabbit hole group), don't worry about long reactions to some videos, we're used to it ^^ Ren watches reactions himself from time to time and sometimes pops up in the comments! Tbh I'm not really sure which suggestion I should give you, there are so many great Ren songs out there but we know so little about what style you like personally? What's your prefered genre?
Hello my dear, much love from Germany ♥️ I defenitly enjoyd your reaction!! I can see you're a guy full of empathy. I'd like you to react to Ren's video: 1 million subscribers. It's a 5 min long video. After watching this, you're gonna understand why we love and appreciate Ren so much! Much love to you and your family!!
They went into the system and grew up separately, never met,may not have even known there was a twin out there. In the live show there was a suggestion that Patrick didn't answer the door cos he was with screechs girl who was" busy", it's great but there's other stuff just as good,🇬🇧
Thank you for your reaction. It makes me so happy to see people enjoy and appreciate Ren and his many talents. If you know, you know. Thank you for sharing your humanity and kindness. Remember there is plenty of upbeat stuff that Ren does too, like Power and Hunger - and some incredible live covers and re-takes like Losing it and any of his busking videos. You can't go wrong. I am yet to come across a dud, Ren just keeps churning masterpieces like it's nothing.
❤ OMFGosh I'm always the odd duckling out, but I constantly tell reactors not to do the trilogy right after Hi Ren and Sick Boi it gets to be very overwhelming for ppl. I have been listening to Ren for over 5 years and I never would of handled doing those in that order. There is actually no order to go in of his songs unless you are doing a specific set like trilogy, money game, love music. Us RENegades of course want you to do our favorites first bc it's so exciting seeing a emotional response but it can be very wearing on ppl for the first time especially bc we are in a culture in this generation where we aren't use to having long pondering thoughts and emotional reactions to music. As losing it is a lot of fun I really like CRUCIFY YOUR CULTURE OR OCEAN.
@Lift_Eachother_Up haha well I love seeing these videos and I'm glad I did this gives me more anticipation on his lighter music and will make the darker side more emotional and real. Much love and thanks for the comment 🙏
RENagade here! Such a great reaction! ❤❤ I absolutely loved it! You hit on so many things most people don't! 🎉 Love watching reactions to Ren, but this is my favorite from him! I've listened to it a million times and seen a million reactions but Violet's tale hits so close to home for me that it still gives me goosebumps and tears to this day. Thankfully, I survived unlike poor Violet. 😢 Cant wait to see you react to more Ren! Welcome to the Renegades! ❤🎉❤🎉
Thank you so much for your kind words I'm glad you enjoyed and I'm happy you made it out of that darkness and hope your life is full of love and joy xx
Brilliant reaction!! Heartfelt and intelligent… please continue down this deep and varied rabbit hole!! It’s nice and fuzzy down here 😋 Ps there is new tales coming soon.. so buckle up.. I think a fun one next: Losing it!! Before you do the Money Game trilogy (you don’t have to do them in one go.. only the tales 😁) Looking forward to more!!!
Great reaction! ❤ Ren is a modern day bard painting such vivid imagery with his storytelling that it pulls you in and forces you to keep watching - even when it gets physically uncomfortable during Violet’s Tale. And Ren uses this ability to shed light on far too real issues in the world. Ren is special.
wow incredible insight and thank you so much Ill do a upbeat reaction that so many have asked for then ill 100% do the money game story for sure ill also be reacting to some of big push so lots to come haha, thank you for you love and support xxx
I edited my post because I changed my mind about the order of seeing The Money Games. After mulling over my now edited idea, I believe that seeing Ren's original Money Games in 1-2-3 order is the Best way to see them. Then, on its own, Ren's latest drop, his first-ever televised Live performance at the 2024 SkyArts Awards would be a wonderful, definitely stand-alone, video to react to. (That video dropped less than a week ago, and shows Ren performing his brilliant Money Game 2 in such a personal, immediate setting.) !!! Mr. Child, I love your reactions and I love each of the Money Games so much, I would actually like to see your response to them in Separate videos in order to build up to Ren's stunning performance of his gripping tale, the grand finale Money Game 3. Then, as a Super Encore, the Live, televised performance of MG2 at the SkyArts Awards. I promise, each of the Money Games is definitely worth independently savoring💜
It's a heavy one! Nice reaction! Yep, Jenny is a lady of the night. According to Ren, he was inspired to write this after he read a news story about a 14 yr old boy who killed a prostitute. It stayed with him and he wondered what would make him do that, thus the tales were written. That's the jist of it
Ren mentioned that it bothered him that the only comment from the police after the killing was "It's such a shame", that is why both Jenny and Screech's tales end with the phrase "It's such a shame". Teenagers killing and dying these days isn't horrific or terrifying anymore, it's just "a shame".
Great reaction, mate. Ren is treasure to be shared. Never to be taken for granted. People either get him or they don’t. Those of us that get him, have a profound understanding of just how special he really is. I truly believe Ren could have a positive impact on our world. Especially if bright young minds learn from the values he’s teaching/preaching. If any Renegades tick you off by being over protective and bossy: stand your ground it’s your show, slap them on the wrist and let it go, and rest assured other Renegades usually put them in their place for you. Welcome!😉❤️✌️
The fact that Ren even made this song means a lot. As a woman who experienced violence, to hear a man speaking up and shine a spotlight on it is very comforting to me. Cause you see men defend that stuff but even when they don't, men rarely seem to speak on the topic. It often feels like women are alone in the fight against DV. You were very sympathetic which made me happy❤
Jenny and James were twins, born and died at the same time, on the same streets of London without knowing each other. Bred by violence, harsh childhood, died violently side by side. Only 14. Violet was their dead mother. So much layers in this story and the guitar sooooo well played, the pauses, the declamed parts, the acting... ❤ He is a bard of the modern ages, sooo good
I haven't read all the replies, so pardon if this is a repeat, but Ren has said he wants to do a Netfix series (with cinematographer Sam) that is like a musical tales series...sort of like Black Mirror, where the episodes are independent of each other, but there's kind of an overall theme or genre. He has some already written. Just waiting for his shot to give his pitch. Can you imagine if we got Tales on the regular? Oh and he said the other day that the next couple of weeks are dedicated to bringing new Tales to life, so sounds like they may be recording videos for upcoming genius Tales!
Love your reactions pal!!! Next up has to be REN’s band the big push with I shot the sheriff/road to Zion/hip hop (red suspender edition) Another great one is ren and Sam Tompkins (another rabbit hole awaits) with earned it/man’s world/falling Keep going with it and we will follow with positivity and appreciation 💪🏻 It’s the Ren way… a rising tide lifts all ships
Great reaction guy on the computer - you did justice to this dark story! As a social worker I also want to mention that here in Germany they won't pay a semi-detached council flat for ONE SINGLE person. So maybe she was already pregnant when she moved out? That makes the story even darker... And I've witnessed countless stories like this over the years. Sad but true. Looking forward for more Ren and The Big Push. Greetings from Germany 🖐😃
Your thoughtful and authentic analysis was yet again super enjoyable 😄 It's evident that the music moves you, and I think that is why most people who watch reaction videos do it: to see that "wow" reach someone's face when they hear the magic for the first time. Reacting to it authentically is what makes the great reactors stand out from all the rest. I'm glad you chose to listen to Jenny and Screech. Looking forward to your next Ren adventure!
The man is a generational talent and there is so much to experience n any of these videos. I don't know why, but one line that always stands out for me is the reference to Violet in Tescos, "Packing jars like pickled bricks", totally random, but such a spectacular description of such a mundane task!! Every time i listen, i hear another layer of detail...amazing.
@leechild3204 he is something special this man and ill have to watch more to really understand it all but a heavy but true storyline in life. Amazing 👏
Extraordinary reaction; emotional and intelligent analysis. Very well described. Ren is an incredible narrator and interpreter. The cycle of violence and abuse masterfully represented. Twins are born and die side by side. Tragic and poetic. You still have many surprises on this trip; some fun and others not so much, but always treated with good writing and irony. You will see that there are double meanings and metaphors in their different phrases and styles. You are doing well following the recommendations of the renegades...you can degrease with something lighter or continue in the heavy and deep line... It's hard for me to choose favorites, but to suggest a few:"Chalk Outlines","Money Game, Pt. 3","For Joe"... Thanks for your reaction, keep it up.
@@thechildishreaction the age of Jenny, her "profession", how frantic Skreetch would be as a 14 yr old, that impulsiveness, that all or nothing attitude. I haven't heard any yet notice that Violet was graped by Dad, then Stevie. Stevie just took it one step further with his abuse. As a survivor, there are things we might pick up that others don't about the story. The generational trauma in this story is all too familar for many in this sad world. It's about time we talk about it.
Another amazing reaction, thank you! The Jenny and Screech trilllgoy is emotionally heavy, so maybe something a bit lighter like ‘losing it’, ‘Back on 74’, ‘Power’ or ‘What you want’, might give you a break from the emotion, and you can see another side of Ren. Also looking forward to seeing you react to ‘Money Game’ 1, 2 and 3, (no 2 needs to be the lyric video). 🖤
If everyone pray for my mama just had a stroke this morning my mom break from being at the hospital needed to watch a little bit of run to keep my mind going crazy till I get back !
I agree, I could listen to his guitar intros to all three stories, especially Violet's Tale. I love the medieval sound. He can play piano too, unbelievable. Thanks for the reaction. I just watched this and now have to go back for Hi Ren and Sick Boi. I can't wait!
Ren is indeed a genius, a fantastic performer, singer, actor, songwriter, composer, etc, etc he can do it all... These 3 videos are filled with so many small tidbits that you might have missed by seeing this for the first time: - the way he uses his words and sets the scene for example when he could've simply say that Screech stabbed Jenny, he does it in a much more poetic way (and continues to do it in other instances in the songs, like when the Police is coming for Screech "the shrill cry of justice like a Banshee in the night"), just the same when Jenny froze he says it in a fantastic manner that sets a scene in your head... The way he used the Guitar to knock on the door in Screech's tale, the frantic camera going around him while he stood still to show the state of mind Screech was in, how he used the phone in the middle of the song with pauses and all to wait for the call to connect... how he said the police was coming instead of just saying "the police are coming" is truly amazing, and how he said that Screech was going against the police without saying just the obvious words... how he alternates between characters and narrator, both in voice and acting (see how at the end of the call to the girlfriend he's panting, gasping for air as Screech and in the next second he's completely composed when he becomes the Narrator again, he even gets his posture to be more upright)... how he uses the guitar to fire the shots and the cameraman getting shot and falling to the floor... an amazing storyteller. - The way he tells that history repeats itself on Violet's tale, from being abused by her father to the cycle repeating with her boyfriend that ends up killing her... the way he knocks on the door and then shows how he picks her eyelids and opens them and he's right there face first on the camera, out of focus... how he again uses the guitar to simbolize the sounds of violence when Stevie hits Violet, like a crashing pilot! - The way he rewinds time at the start of Violet's Tale when he says "We must rewind time for Violet's Tale" and then he makes the rewind time sound with the guitar and then starts Violet's story... then after Violet gets beaten up he uses the guitar again, this time to un-rewind time and gets us back to the start of the song when you heard the sounds of the hospital machines, now we know why those sounds were there and how everything happened... it's pure genius!!! - Also, it's inevitable to draw parallels between Jenny and Violet and Screech and Stevie (his father) and the grandfather... despite not knowing any of their relatives, Jenny was just like her mother, Violet was silent, didn't fight back when she was abused and ended up being killed... Jenny when confronted by Screech completely froze, like a statue, wasn't able to move, to say anything, to defend herself, just like her mother... Screech was violent and troubled and ended up a murderer just like his father... All very tragic!! - To tie it all up, the Tales from Jenny and Screech were recorded in 2019 and Violet's Tale is, because of that set in 2005 (two zero zero five), 14 years before because in Jenny's tale we are told that Screech was 14 years old! You were spot on when you said that Jenny was a lady of the night. Not many people catch on to that! Even more shocking at the end when you realise that Jenny is only 14 as well!
apparently she want a lady of the night ? thats Rens view from another commenter ?
@@thechildishreactionren is a shit-stirrer because he's also said the opposite. 😅
But the point is that if we were just focusing on a teenage prostitute getting murdered in another crime, its already blaming the victim.
And a quote from that news report "it's such a shame"
The second tale was introduced with a novel & risky promo idea before the release.

@h.p.chicken he is one hell of a story teller right
Well, they were BOTH fourteen 🤔
@@danielbeard7045 Yes, but we already knew that. And when you think of how she was walking the streets in high heels in the middle of the night? We can assume that she was "working", at 14.
If you're willing to do two in one video, do the official video "Murderer", and then do the live acoustic version!! It blows me away how Ren can totally reinvent his own songs. I absolutely adore both versions!

haha thank you and wow an absolute incredible performance by Ren
yes. He just held a mirror up to the face of society...
@jacks9624 yeah facts and those suffering in low income have thousands of these stories
Something Ren is so good at
Ren's Bardcore is second to none.
PLEASE: Now you have to react to LOSING IT by Ren, to see his playful side and the breadth of his talent!
@@MattR_145 haha yes I agree it's best to see all sides of Ren haha
Love Losing It! Come to think of it, is there any Ren/BigPush I don't love?! 🤔
@@daphneparkin6869 haha 😄 I bet

They didn'y just grow up missing a mother. They grew up missing a father too. Stevie would have even been in prison for murder, or on the run. On the small chance that he was acquitted, there's no way he would have been allowed to raise those children and I doubt he would have wanted to anyway, considering his character.
Jenny and James would have grown up in the care system and were obviously separated at a young age. They definitely didn't know each other when they met, which just adds another layer of tragedy. It's positively Shakespearean! :)
Also who’s to know how much trauma is inflicted on two unborn babies in the womb of a mother who is being beaten to death by their very own father 😢😢
What about the fact that they both took after there parents. Jenny would just freeze up just like mum when something bad would happen, and James would be just a violent as his dad. It’s just one big circle violence 😢
well said my man

Is it Banksy? I have long wondered but no one seems to have confirmed it.
SO nice to see people appreciate this artist for the wonder he is ! I am 65 and he is by far my favorite human being besides my children and mom on this planet ! Much love Ren !!
much love to you too xx
❤
brilliantly said I agree with you 1000% he has opened my eyes to what is possible again with music

@@thechildishreactionit's one of my favourites. So fricking smooth, and melodic, and vibing.
I'm working with a rescue horse with ptsd at the moment, and the other week we were trying liberty work but I couldn't get her out of her reactive state.
I found myself singing Back on 74...thought "fuck it, nothing else has worked"
So I put it on, loud, on my phone
Her curiosity was immediate and she started to soften her expression.
Great reaction! Jenny was walking the streets “in high heel shoes” at age 14.
Ren is brilliant!
Right?! that's why i was wondering

@frabo1000 Thank you so much and what a legend he is
Have you seen The Witcher? Dandelion is a Bard. Shakespeare, of course, is known as THE Bard. A storyteller, a wandering minstrel, typically traveling and telling stories while playing a Lute. It’s a lost art that Ren is bringing back to life! ☮️♥️
I call Ren the Pied Piper of Brighton. I happily follow him along any path or road, captivated by whatever tune he makes.

(That video dropped less than a week ago, and shows Ren performing his brilliant Money Game 2 in such a personal, immediate setting.)
That's the jist of it
@aleahtorres3578 Such a sad story and like I said it plays out in the world everyday and that's why it's heavy on the heart
Ren mentioned that it bothered him that the only comment from the police after the killing was "It's such a shame", that is why both Jenny and Screech's tales end with the phrase "It's such a shame". Teenagers killing and dying these days isn't horrific or terrifying anymore, it's just "a shame".
@@jeaninefeldtmann423 and it happens so much that's what is so sad about it all
@@thechildishreaction Yeah, so many kids don't get/choose the option to just be kids anymore
@jeaninefeldtmann423 in those type of homes not at all
Great reaction, mate.
@abbymathews5088 well said and I agree 100% the world needs more humans like ren
He is a bard of the modern ages, sooo good
Totally agree with you he is a modern day Bard
I absolutely agree with you when he stops playing to tell the story it hits so much harder
@@mugshottricky yeah something feels different about it when it just him accopela
The ending is a punch in the gut, isn’t it? It’s brilliantly written and preformed . Great reaction.
such a heavy ending but incredible he is at story telling
Ren's an incredible guitarist and especially given that he's self-taught!
yes a true musician right just born with the talent
Nice reaction again. For fun, I really love What You Want which has a retro vibe with a nod to Beastie Boys ❤️
I'll check it out
I haven't read all the replies, so pardon if this is a repeat, but Ren has said he wants to do a Netfix series (with cinematographer Sam) that is like a musical tales series...sort of like Black Mirror, where the episodes are independent of each other, but there's kind of an overall theme or genre. He has some already written. Just waiting for his shot to give his pitch. Can you imagine if we got Tales on the regular? Oh and he said the other day that the next couple of weeks are dedicated to bringing new Tales to life, so sounds like they may be recording videos for upcoming genius Tales!
That's would be incredible and I can see him doing stuff like black mirror for sure wow
Love your reactions pal!!!
Next up has to be REN’s band the big push with I shot the sheriff/road to Zion/hip hop (red suspender edition)
Another great one is ren and Sam Tompkins (another rabbit hole awaits) with earned it/man’s world/falling
Keep going with it and we will follow with positivity and appreciation 💪🏻
It’s the Ren way… a rising tide lifts all ships
@neilroblett9140 Thank you so much ❤️ and you all habe made my week and ill always appreciate you all
I admire Ren so much and the community gives me some faith in humanity.
well said that's how he makes me feel
Great reaction guy on the computer - you did justice to this dark story! As a social worker I also want to mention that here in Germany they won't pay a semi-detached council flat for ONE SINGLE person. So maybe she was already pregnant when she moved out? That makes the story even darker... And I've witnessed countless stories like this over the years. Sad but true.
Looking forward for more Ren and The Big Push. Greetings from Germany 🖐😃
@@FrauEausS Thank you so much and sending love to Germany 🇩🇪 ❤️
Your thoughtful and authentic analysis was yet again super enjoyable 😄 It's evident that the music moves you, and I think that is why most people who watch reaction videos do it: to see that "wow" reach someone's face when they hear the magic for the first time. Reacting to it authentically is what makes the great reactors stand out from all the rest. I'm glad you chose to listen to Jenny and Screech. Looking forward to your next Ren adventure!
Thank you for this comment and yes 100% music hits me like crazy
Thank you so much and ill check those out for sure haha
Time to tap into Ren’s busking videos.
Great reaction! For something lighter I'd strongly recommend the Love Music series. It's all about the love for music and more in Pt. 4
@martinschulz-bruckner4155 ok ill make sure to check these out to haha nerd some lighter ones 😊😊😊
Speak easy lounge? Back on 74/message in a bottle. Hug from a stranger from the Netherlands ❤
@christelsegbars1630 ok im gonna check it out for sure haha 😄 much love my Dutch friend 🧡
You are catching stuff that other reactors have not noticed, and I am so impressed. Renegade for life!
Oh really? what was the specific details?
Can't wait! and thank you for the comment
Ren is a master storyteller. 💛💛💛
Absolutely correct and so much talent
Here we go. Looking forward to this.

After watching this I always recommend Ren's one million subscribers video. It shows who Ren is as a person and he is an angel ❤
If everyone pray for my mama just had a stroke this morning my mom break from being at the hospital needed to watch a little bit of run to keep my mind going crazy till I get back !
so so sorry I hope she is doing ok?
I agree, I could listen to his guitar intros to all three stories, especially Violet's Tale. I love the medieval sound. He can play piano too, unbelievable. Thanks for the reaction. I just watched this and now have to go back for Hi Ren and Sick Boi. I can't wait!
Couldn't agree more!
Ren ❤❤❤❤❤
@@belindamelville2270 the Legend 💜
Absolutely correct my friend! You have never seen an artist like Ren, simply because there hasn't been one.❤
Ren is indeed a genius, a fantastic performer, singer, actor, songwriter, composer, etc, etc he can do it all...
These 3 videos are filled with so many small tidbits that you might have missed by seeing this for the first time:
- the way he uses his words and sets the scene for example when he could've simply say that Screech stabbed Jenny, he does it in a much more poetic way (and continues to do it in other instances in the songs, like when the Police is coming for Screech "the shrill cry of justice like a Banshee in the night"), just the same when Jenny froze he says it in a fantastic manner that sets a scene in your head...
Cheers
