Excellent analysis - Wait until you dig deeper and find out why Ren has the troubles he does. When I saw this the first time, I formed an opinion that has stuck with me - This is the MOST profound and moving music video I've seen. Thanks, TCR, for not pausing so much.

Ren is a God to me. That may sound silly. But I don't care. He means so much to me. If I ever had the fortune of meeting him, I'd probably cry my eyes out like a little girl. I haven't been this in to an artist EVER, even back in the 80's when I was so obsessed with current music. I haven't liked anyone current since the mid 90's, and now I've found the artist that is my favorite EVER. Ren is a huge rabbithole to go down. (And his circle of people, like The Big Push, Chinchilla, Sam Tompkins). You could probably concentrate just on that stuff and have content for months. (And check out his older group "Trick The Fox", and solo stuff of Romain Axisa (one of the guitarists from The Big Push)

@mcauleyrecordsetv Hey, I'm popping by all the reactors I follow to ask if you'll please jump on Ren's first track from his new album Slaughterhouse. It premiers this Thurs, Nov 21st (his premiers are a lot of fun too!). Would love the reaction community's help in blowing this song up, as a way to show our Boi some love and support while he's back in treatment in Canada. It's been hitting him pretty hard and he's reached out on socials a couple of times looking for some hope. Thought maybe we could all work together to send some light and love his way <3

I only discovered him about a month ago. He is so versatile and draws you in with his clever story telling. He was suffering from Lyme disease which was misdiagnosed with Chronic Fatigue Syndrome and the medication he was given caused him psychosis and autoimmunity. He’s been sick for over 10 years, but thankfully he’s improving. He is busy having treatment in Canada for this. Most of his videos are “one takes” and he also does all his own beats and produces his own work. A truly amazing young man with so much talent. He also performs in a band called The Big Push. Great musicians. ❤❤❤

The fact that Ren even made this song means a lot. As a woman who experienced violence, to hear a man speaking up and shine a spotlight on it is very comforting to me. Cause you see men defend that stuff but even when they don't, men rarely seem to speak on the topic. It often feels like women are alone in the fight against DV. You were very sympathetic which made me happy❤

Watching people watch Hi Ren for the first time is one of the most amazing experiences! Its as if we all forgot what it was to be human and Ren has opened us up to that! "Pharmaceuticals just kill people"? That's a horribly one-sided statement. Yes, often there are side-effects, and and sometimes doctors are corrupt and/or incompetent. But the irony for Ren here, being misdiagnosed for so long, is that the right doctors and pharmaceuticals early on could have prevented his tragic suffering from Lyme disease and its long term damage. So many pharmaceuticals actually save lives and suffering, it's important to learn each person's unique, positive or negative response to them. Blanket statements can be misleading and sometimes even damaging. I knew a guy who wouldn't wear a seatbelt because someone very close to him died from an accident when a jammed seatbelt made it impossible to escape. While, seatbelts are overwhelmingly more beneficial than detrimental. I'm not saying that pharmaceuticals are always beneficial, I'm saying that they're not always detrimental.

After watching this I always recommend Ren's one million subscribers video. It shows who Ren is as a person and he is an angel ❤

I saw this video at my lowest point, I´d given up dealing with my illness, distanced myself from my family and friends, all in preperation for not being here no more. That moment he stood up from the chair, I burst out in tears and decided I would stand up for myself, continue existing. It´s a struggle every day, but I cherish Ren for this awakening of mine, I still tear up seeing this performance, reviews of this performance. I truly believe art created from the heart has healing in it, this did so for my in any case.

Imagine, how much the world would improve if everyone took a little extra time to lift others up. People always seem to find the time to be cruel. It’s never too late to flip it, and be kind. Great reaction, mate. Ren is treasure to be shared. Never to be taken for granted. People either get him or they don’t. Those of us that get him, have a profound understanding of just how special he really is. I truly believe Ren could have a positive impact on our world. Especially if bright young minds learn from the values he’s teaching/preaching.
