This season was stated as the prequel to Rogue Core so this is part of what leads up to that game.
And honestly I wish they hadn't shown the creeper's. Imagine the shock of seeing stone rip open a portal mid missionand this thing crawled out? Golden moment right there!
I was wondering why Blood Sugar is an anomaly, but it's probably because enemies can't spawn too many things at once on death. So since it's an anomaly it can't appear with Golden Bugs or Volatile Guts for example.

Also, did you noticed that they have redesigned the vortok scalebramble? It's "tenntacles" are more visible now. Also it appears that the morkite geode is now depending on the biome to form its crystal formations.
Theory: the core spawn crawlers are the remnants of the previous inhabitants of hoxxes
The blood sugar mode will make the sweet tooth perk more popular
Honestly i run sweet tooth on every build except driller if i actually plan on doing melee oriented stuff
I think Deep Scan is almost like a mission version of the large meteor event. You drop in the two pods and connect them with the little tube-pipes, which there might be a defense section for, and the drillevator stopping is probably more like that as well, where you _can_ make it the whole way only maintaining one section, but quite slowly, and if everything breaks then it'll stop until you deal with it.
Knowing that Season 5 is the buildup to the titular event of the core going rogue, and it being stated that the corespawn come from deeper down, I find it likely that whatever they are, they have a more directed and responsive intelligence guiding them - the glyphids have their semi-hivemind going on, sure, but they're rather slow to change their responses to anything that happens. Particularly striking is that they seem to deliberately mimic faces as either a way to intimidate the dwarves, or give a chance to get close by confusing anyone who sees them. Rogue Core is going to be fascinating.
So excited for the new season
This season will be a great send-off and intro to the new Rogue Core

They showed off the new bhaa barnacles objectives in the stream where they leaked all the overclocks, but the glyphid eggs were new to everyone I believe
Honestly, the only thing I'm really iffy about is the position of the Scalebramble's postules. Please don't be a Korlok situation...

@@jakestaheli8532Thoose 3 bulbs the new enemy spawns with and you destroy, he hopes they will spawn in the room the enemy is in and not in the cave above /below/trough the wall like with korlok and makes the fight a chore
It's more like Rival Router x Korlok TW with the health of a Cave Leech once it cracks open

I’m guessing that the new challenge to earn a scrip is going to be to do a double warning mission, as it only shows one tick of completion.
The only problem I have with season 5 is: no season 6 before Q3 2025 :(

@@danolantern6030 lets hope so, also something that should be prohibited is point extraction and blood sugar bc it would be too easy (you know, w/the every like 2 mins a mini swarm spawning)
Perhaps the amount of health per chunk is based off the enemy, so killing stray patrol bots or sniper turrets will grant a substantial amount of health to keep you going.
