Hi yes I'm aware of the Engineer overclock that lets you greande jump! I probably should have cut a bit more context into this clip at 5:11 - Gene is actually talking about that exact one when the clip begins
I didn't know you could sync with it, though - I'll look into it as soon as I unlock it lol
The Grenade launcher has so many amazing overclocks
Once you actually get access to it you should try it out with the flame mod on T5. You'll lose out on damage but you'll also take less damage from blast jumping, which'll let you morkite jump a bit more often :)
There are actually a few shovel pieces for your pickaxe! It’s for the back part and not the part you hit with but it’s still there!

Soundsmith did you know that you can hit other people with the rocketjump overclock, and send your teammates flying? My friends and I use it for Maximum Gunner Mobility
I love how Soundsmith is just unable to play a game without trying to fly 30 feet in the -hair- air to hit people really hard with a gardening tool

heads up lads, the scam bots showed up here about 4 hours ago, if you feel like helping stamp them out, they usually only reply to comments with very few likes and almost no replies.
You can take SoundSmith out of the Trolldier, but you can't take the Trolldier out of SoundSmith.
Ethan there is one, it's "Reaper Claw", when you power attack you use the back head of the pickaxe so just equip the Reaper Claw shovel on the back. Reaper Claw Pickaxe has its own assignment so you can get it fairly easy
There's also 'dirt digger but it's a random drop
There's also a mod that removes pickaxe part restrictions so you can put back heads on the front, it's even visible to other players without the mod

I literally knew as soon as I unlocked RJ250 and power attacked a ceiling grunt the other day, that a video like this was inevitable.
I came to the comments specifically to find the first time someone mentioned the RJ250 because .... R. J. They knew what they were doing.

Three things are certain in life, : death, taxes, and Soundsmith finding ways to market garden in games not even closely related to TF2
The best part is that this Overclock launch > Power attack combo is the optimal means to bamboozle an oppressor with their massive 50% melee weakness letting a power attack do upwards of 300 damage, two people back to back slamming an oppressor and 1 good clip to the back will turn an oppressor to glue better than anything else
If there is a way to launch yourself and a melee, soundsmith will always find a way to market garden without fail
Rule of thumb if game has a melee weapon soundsmith WILL find a way to market garden
I hope you know that I'm gonna be patiently waiting for the second part to this video with the RJ250 overclock for the Engineer now.
PS: There is a shovel back head for your pickaxe in the Reaper's Claw cosmetic set, and your character uses the back head to do a power attack. Have fun :3

There are actually two shovel pickaxe parts in the game. You can get one via lost packs and the other is from an assignment (unlocked rank 50)... though I think you may have already found that out by the time you uploaded this video. In any case, I hope it's close enough!

there's also a mod that allows you to use the back heads of pickaxes as the front blade (and other players can see it too) so you can make DOUBLE SHOVEL pickaxes

Quick tip for the future, but for situations like this where you wanna grab something with precise timing, you can usually just hold E and it'll automatically catch it once you get close enough. This is particularly useful with Gunner Ziplines, as you can use them to break your fall in a pinch. Really happy to see this game on your channel, it's one of my personal favorites and would love to see more content on it!
EDIT, because I realized I had an opportunity to pitch one of my fave Overclocks

There's actually an overclock on the Engineer's grenade launcher that gives it similar rocket jumping capabilities to special powder, called RJ250 Compound. Lots of fun and overall really good for general use due to the sheer amount of ammo it adds. The napalm upgrade more or less nullifies the damage downside.
If I remember correctly, the elfs are on the list of heavy objects you cant pick up in the air. I dont know why some objects dont let you, but thats just how it is (gunk seeds are the other major one).
Also, you can carry a heavy object while sprinting. You just need to do a small baby toss, run, jump, pick it up in the air, do another small throw before you hit the ground, and repeat.
I can’t wait for Soundsmith to find out about the mods to this game lol. Great video, rock and stone

Wow! I played this game when it first came out. I loved it. There’s something about a low poly look (with awesome lighting and other effects I don’t know the terminology for) that just make me fall in love with a game (currently love Valheim) it’s awesome to see how much has changed, I’ll have to try this again for sure! Great video and nice moves with those new modifiers or whatever they’re called 😂
