The barrel game builds up a streak with continuous barrels through the hoop. This can be tracked by the size of the score text on the screen, and goes from 1xx to 2x to 3x to 4x. The yellow barrels are worth ten points and the orange barrels worth twenty five, multiplied by your respective score, and the red barrels are every fifth barrel you are given. This means that your first orange barrel can be landed with a full streak, netting a hundred points for it alone. The hoop will shift speeds every time it hits the left end of its track, and if it hits the left end twice with no barrels landed it will reset your streak.
Ive sort of developed a tradition with these beers, usually involving combos based on how good the last mission went before i log off. Rules of course is that: 1: you aint chugging it if you cant see the abyss bar when you knock it back 2: throw the mug at the drop pod's drillhead, for luck. Decent mission: tip loyd once, hit the bobble boy 4 times, oily oafs. Great mission: tip loyd twice, hit the bobble boy 7 times, arkenstout. Time a rock n stone for the exact moment you freeze to see your pickaxe in 3rd person. Wonderful, excellent mission: same tip and bobble boy as a great mission, but drink a black reach blonde before the arkenstout so you turn into a wonderful triumphant frozen statue when u rock n stone. Shit mission, absolutely a bomb: tip loyd once, slap the bobble boy 4 times, pound back a black lock lager followed by a blackout stout and pass out in the drop pod launch bay.
Add one to the list. Side objective hell gone right. There's prospectors, TWO giant Lithophage Meteors, a Matrix Core Infuser thing, and you still gotta protect Doretta. Dispite all that BS, you and your team somehow crushed every single challenge the mines threw at you... And everyone including Dotty's Head makes it aboard with little to no hassle. Or something exceptional like that... Blackreach, Flintlock, Wormhole. Party across the whole galaxy in a display of fireworks! Oh and tip Lloyd 3 times, slap bobbledude 7 times per slapfest, rest a second, repeat two more times.

The score does not reset and the kick counter doesn't go up even if you let it idle for a while Lastly, if you go for the 3000 score achievement, the game is more forgiving then you think. I got mine in like 90 kicks while loosing the streak 4 times, so you don't need a perfect streak to do it. If you manage to get the score to 1500+ in 50 kicks, you're good to continue cause you still got a decent chance to pull it off. If it'd under 1500 in 50 kicks, I'd recommend reseting it, as your chances to do it are slim to non existing
Just so you know, there’s actually a third game you missed in the station. If you go back to that spot you hid from driller under the bar you’ll find a disco ball and two disks. When the disks are placed they make goals so you can throw the ball through. Basically it’s soccer.
I noticed that carrying Dotty back to the drop pod. Not as fast as sprinting, but it was noticably faster than walking. "The weight makes dwarves stronger!" Lol, that was a fun group.
I was playing duos with a friend of mine one time and we both decided to drink a blackout each just before the drop pod closed the doors. We failed the mission because we were too drunk to move in a straight line in the caves and died to a Bulk Detonator XD
Tunnel rat + scout armor upgrade for fall dmg + the grappling hook that reduces fall dmg= 100% fall dmg immunity and the grapple hook upgrade is bugged to be perma buff after useing it once

I found out recently all the stats on the buff beers are wrong and are actualt 2X what they say , 30% less fall damage is actually 60% , 2X gold id actually 4X , terrain needs 1 less hit actually takes away 2 less hits etc.

As a barrel hoop profesional I wanted to clear things up regarding the score system Yellow barrel = 10 points Red barrel (this one spawns every five barrels regardless of having a streak or not) = 25 points Two barrels in a row you get a x2 multiplier, the next one adds a x3 multiplier and it stops at x4 so thats pretty much it, enjoy wasting a month on the achivement (its worth it)
there is no opportunity cost with which type of beer to unlock first (german or irish style) this is because all of the buff beers take barley bulbs and only barley bulbs to make while non of the party beers require any amount of barley bulbs (also i picked up drg 3 months ago and i'm nearly done with the overclock grind)

Skullcrusher's is actually damn good. The pickaxe is not to be underestimated, it can easily help deal with stray grunts and conserve ammo (this has saved my ass multiple times) plus drillers power drills and impact axe count as melee damage too, allowing for vampirism perks and more importantly gain that damage buff. Trust me, drillers LOVE skullcrushers and if you don't, then you haven't been enlightened yet.
Only benefit of Leaf Lovers is you can see straight. The shame and dwarf-on-leaf-lover hostility that comes after will 100% ruin this benefit. Even that is outclassed by sacrificing yourself to the barrel hoop, blacking out, or simply resetting the space rig with leave/disband group button.

Just wanna say that rocky mountain doesnt make every terrain a one hit, as some types are normally 4 hits (such as stone in the sandblasted corridors) and thus require 2 hits
Also if you switch classes multiple times while under the effects of a blackreach, the effects stack and it lasts infinitely. Wouls highly suggest trying it on high volume
to anyone wondering why the oily oaf looks like that he bought the supporter 2 pack which gives you an option to toggle that and the regular look at will it doesn't do anything new tho
Ill be bonest, I actually like the leaf lovers drink. I make it taste good by gridnign in some peppermint snd hollow bough roots. Gives it a minty root beer flavor. Dont ask why.
