I played Titanfall 2 over the weekend on PS4/5, and despite there being only around 1,000 people playing, I managed to get into multiple games in a row and had an absolute blast! We can still hope for Titanfall 3, but knowing EA, it's never gonna happen 😢

Edit: I think you forgot to mention that the hacker (yes I'm pretty sure it was a single person) took down the Titanfall 1 and Titanfall 2 servers for years. EA and respawn did absolutely nothing until apex was attacked, and there was even some speculation that some tf2 fans themselves attacked apex to bring attention to their game. During the time the servers were down, Titanfall 1 was taken off of the market, but Titanfall 2 stayed (maybe the campaign was enough to call it still functional?) This was also when Northstar client was developed, a modded version of Titanfall 2 that connected you to COMMUNITY owned and protected servers, servers that were safe from the hacks, the ddos, and even allowed for easier modding unlike vanilla TF|2. Also apparently Respawn was the one to stop making Titanfall 3, despite common belief I think EA was ok with the making of it, but Respawn thought what they had at the time simply wasn't good enough to live up to expectations (half life 3 situation). Also I'm convinced apex is in a different universe than titanfall 2 due to how little the writers of apex know about the titanfall universe

just wanted to make a correction, northstar servers shared the same vulnerability, the only reason it worked against the jeanue is because you would have to take down each server individually as they are decentralized making it a fools errand to even attempt to do that.
the attatck you are talking about is the save titanfall 2 hack which was done by the mods of the remnent fleet discord server (and not the actual save titanfall 2 people)

It’s really interesting to see this from a different lens. I’ve only of heard the name of Titanfall, never played the games when they were out before apex. Apex was my only introduction back when it came out because a friend asked me to play. It was also my first time playing a free to play/battle Royale game. I played (haven’t finished) TF2 two years ago when someone gifted it to me on steam. I love it and need to get back to the campaign. As a gamer in general my heart goes out to the fans.

Oh I also found out not to long ago that you can save your transition or an effect as a file you can reuse. I use davinci(free version) by the way.

Misconcption is that ea chose the release date, it was actually respawn. Most likely because the wanted to get back at activison.

Edit: R2/TF|2 could have been a much better game than we even have right now. First bad decision that changing the art style from the first game. Completely changing the rodeo system the updates they wanted to make to the rodeo system, was completely axed like multiple player rodeo, nerfing Grunt, and specter AI completely ect, semi retconning TF|1's story, ect...
