@@lemon-head665 i main scorch so no problem if i see a pilot i usually can just eject shoot and hop back in scorch you can grapple pilots but you usually get shot to death by using that method the the gas barrels work well for anti pilot due to most people using sonar

How I have fun playing titanfall 2 daily, from me, a newer player Campaign: always look for those new thing, Whether it be log recordings, funny T poses or entire glitches, maybe replay the campaign for those collectables or master difficulty. Multiplayer: TRAIN, find friends or make new titanfall 2 friends Titans: find out a playstyle for each titan, colors and kits Pilots: practice every gun, pilot type, grenade, exicution, gun upgrades and boosts
Titanfall 2 is easily the highest skill ceiling I've ever seen in any multiplayer FPS (which is a lot coming from an Apex Legends main). I swear everyone who's still playing is an unkillable god.

I still have to say, in my opinion Every Fps Shooter should have a campaign cause it simply teaches you the controlls/basics better than any little shitty tutorial... and pretty much gets you atleast somewhat an idea of whats going on in the Multiplayer. (EDIT: If there is a Possibility for an intresting Story)
I agree. I mean my first time with Titanfall2 I was scared to boot up the multiplayer since I didnt want to be just a moving target. So I hoped into the campaign and learned stuff. Honestly playing through the campaign is the best tutorial since it lets you experience with movement, guns, titans which is pretty much the 3 things you will need in multiplayer. I may not have played a lot of Titanfall 2 but it is up there in my top 10 games that I will never forget.
And the fact that you know games are $80 to $100 dollars, AAANNNDDDDD they're gonna bash me over the head in their multiplayer slop with egregious micro transactions.

The Titanfall community is very supportive of new players, especially on Xbox. The FB and Reddit groups are still very active and is old heads love to teach our tricks and tips to new players. It is the premier movement shooter, so much so that all games after it have tried to tone down the skill requirement because it alienates a large amount of potential players.
The most fun I get when playing Titanfall 2 is with the movement. With just a stim and a gravity star for nade boosting, I can zoom around the map. I love doing this in CTF where a couple times I got the flag in 10 seconds from spawning in. If you take the time to learn it, Titanfall 2 has the best movement out of any shooter. There's a really fun Mokeysniper video where he showcases the movement, called "A Loveletter to the Titanfall 2 Movement System".
Wow, I've had this same situation he's describing at the end. Valorant would stress me out without me even having to play it, because I'd constantly think that I should be playing it to fill out the BP or whatever. Dropped the game months ago and went back to Titanfall 2 and PoE, never been happier. Also, it's unfortunate that Mr. Over dislikes the titan gameplay loop, I personally love the feel and sound design of how heavy a titan is, they did it so well.
Titanfall 2 will always hold a special place in my heart. Its just that good Its a sum of its parts, but god damn these parts are incredible. Map/level design, the freedom in pilot gameplay and the endless customization of loadouts, the feeling you popping off even with a low position on the scoreboard, and the scorch prime execution (peak sound design) It isnt without flaws, but they are so minimal its really hard for them to frustrate you. Titanfall 2, while having a super high skill ceiling, is one of the most casual, stress free, fun, and immersive games ive ever had the pleasure of playing. And now for my schizo pills (tf3 when) Subbed btw. This was an excellent video!! Titanfall 2, while having a high skill ceiling, can be played at a super casual, stress free level
I love watching videos like these. This is by far my favorite game and I’ve sunk thousands of hours into it. It’s nice to watch other people come to it after all this time. I understand the allure of the pilot gameplay but I'm more of a Titan person, myself. If you dash off an elevated surface and crouch you can do a pseudo "slide" and maintain your momentum over a longer distance. The lighter titans are actually capable of some more advanced movement on certain maps too.
I love the titan gameplay as well! My favorite thing is getting an early titan and using its power to oppress the enemy pilots lol. It’s a blast. I also think titan v titan combat is really interesting and complex with a ton of strategy to it. It also just serves as a great mix up from pilot gameplay so neither gamemode (pilot, titan) gets stale
I love titans for the sole purpose of destroying them. Running cloak with the blue balls and a mastiff to clear the indoor areas is the best. Plus my auto scorch does a much better job sniping ejecting pilots than me, so let daddy do his work
I play this game a lot. I love using the Kraber, because it helps teach new players that if you stand still, you die. Its also very satisfying. One of my favorite parts of the game is that the movement is very fast, but very predictable so you feel like an aim god every time you play. There is barley any A/D strafing involved and with a quick ttk, you don't have to be hyper focused on your aim to have fun.
I'm a pretty big titanfall2 nerd, played the game for years and I'm one of those guys that runs around the map at mach 10 with a Kraber. This game has and never will get old and I think I speak for a lot of people when I say I would enjoy a titanfall 3.

For me, titanfall is a legend. The campaign made me cry so many times even tho i know whats going to happen, and the first time I played it, it was heartbreaking to see BT sacrifice himself and save us. I love this game, always did and always will.

8 YEARS??? I was 13!! I remember playing the tech test and the first day it came out. I had so much fun playing this game, I remember telling all my friends and telling (practically forcing) them to buy the game. This game still and will forever hold a special place in my heart with how much fun I had and memories I have with it.

And if you have bad teammates who aren’t good with titans it’s so fun swooping in to help them take down a enemy titan and feeling like a hero in an action movie

Frontier defense and attrition can still be played as pilot. I like to ballance it between fighting in my titan, or supporting my titan by taking batteries from the enemies. If you just get into the mindset of a mosquito constantly bothering the titans it gets pretty funny ngl.

My favorite Battleroyale was Apex legends, I loved playing it, I loved completing the battlepass, I loved getting the new characters, until I reached the point where I got so burnt out from it, that I stopped. Well, I kind of returned last season for a specific skin but then I quit again, well, idk. who knows, I might return to it again. But for now, I am still taking a break from apex.
A game that is starting to give me that titanfall feeling you described is The finals. It is starting to right now but ive been playing since day 1 (with a break at season 3) and honestly it has a crazy potential to one day be on the same level of titanfall 2 or some others that do not really loose their spark
I always sucked as a pilot but when you throw me into my Monarch, we started to cut swaths into the enemies. I never really got to play a lot of the multiplayer when it was completely active but my friend and I jam Frontier Defense from time to time. No matter what, we have a good time.
This is absolutely a gem of a game. It is the best experience I have had in a multiplayer game, BF4 being the close second. In terms of titans, I love my G100 Legion with Overcore and Extra ammo (long range maps) or Hidden compartment (close range maps). That titan, if used tactically and patiently, has the tools to consistently destroy every other titan in the game. And if you always aim at the enemy titans' critical hit spots (the red spots) like it was your religion to do so, you can put enemy titan from 100 % health to the doom state in 5-8 seconds depending on what type of a titan (stryder, atlas, ogre) you are shooting at. Hit your power shot(s) as well, and that damage output begins to rival Ion's laser core. Think about that. But unlike Ion, you can do very close to that amount of damage EVERY SINGLE MAG. And that damage is available both at close and moderately long range. And believe me, there are a handful of advanced techniques that you can use as a Legion. Advanced techniques are not just for Ronins and Northstars. For example, here are 3 of my favorite Legion manuevers and 1 effective trick to give a significant overall improvement to Legion: Make Gun Shield practically immune to Ronin: Raise your Gun shield towards the sky (60° angle) when you are facing a Ronin and you see the Ronin using an Arc wave. The Arc wave will normally destroy your Gun Shield (without Bulwark Kit) but since you have raised your Gun Shield, its hitbox cannot be reached by the Arc wave. This allows you to save your shield and consequently soak up the entire mag of Ronin's Leadwall while being able to safely return massive amount of fire. Use this if you do not have a dash available (eg. you have already dodged one Arc wave) or you are too close to use the dash effectively. You can of course see the Arc wave as it goes towards you on the ground but to react faster it is better to follow Ronins right hand (there is the animation before and during Arc wave use). Second manuever is due to the fact how the power shot has a charge time after pressing the button. This manuever is the easiest of these 3. Pre-charge your power shot behind cover by pressing the button you use to fire power shots. Right before the charging is ready and Predator cannon is about to fire, dash out of the cover to shoot the enemy titan. This is a surprise attack and it gives the enemy so little time to react that 99,5 % of the time they are not able to block that shot from hitting them. I have got so many LTS final kill cams with this tactic. This is a close-range mode tactic but with extraordinary aim it can also be used in long-range mode against Tones, Northstars and other Legions. Third manuever (or manuevers) are effective against Ion when you have your Smart Core. When you use Smart Core against Ion, you often want to have your Gun Shield ready because Ion is trying to return all those bullets back at you with Vortex shield. Although your Smart core "electrifies" your rounds and they can melt Ion's Vortex shield, it is wiser to avoid the potential throwback damage. If Ion decides to just hold the shield, the shield can hold about 1.3-1.8 titan health bars of damage (not taking critical hits into account). This is not that much since Legion has 5 bars of health and possibly a battery too. However, getting a match-long titan killstreak with Legion becomes much easier with an approach that minimizes health loss at every opportunity. So, your Gun Shield can of course block those bullets but many Ions try to return those shots at your legs or your left shoulder since your Gun Shield does not cover them. When at close to medium range, you should crouch to prevent this. Crouching makes it much harder for Ions to hit those areas when you have Gun Shield active. At long range, Vortex shield loses its accuracy so just putting the Gun shield up usually is enough but you can also crouch to be sure. However, some Ions are still good enough to hit you even when you are crouching. And those Ions aim at your left shoulder. To counter this, you need to pay attention to when Ion's Vortex shield runs out due to Smart Core. Right when it goes red and is about to throw the bullets back at you, look QUICKLY to left (about 35-45° degree angle) from the Ion (or to the right from Ion's perspective) while continuing shooting with Smart Core. As your titan turns, so does your Gun Shield which is then able to completely cover your left shoulder, but it makes your right shoulder exposed, hence the need for good timing. You don't want the Ion to be able to react and return those bullets on your other shoulder. However, if you do not have Gun Shield ready or you are playing against a super good Ion, the manuever does not work or the propability of success is reduced, respectively. During those instances, you must dash right (right on your screen) about 1 second before the Vortex Shield is about to expire (deep red color on the Vortex shield). This manuever makes you go outside Ion's crosshairs right before those bullets are send back. When timed right, the Ion cannot react to your dash and correct the aim before the Vortex shield expires, which makes you able to dodge those bullets from the throwback. This is the highest skill manuever Legion can use and it requires absolutely pinpoint timing. Note: You must dash right (on your screen). Those Ions are looking at your left shoulder. If you dash left, Ion's crosshairs will then be at or near your right shoulder, and that aim is easier to correct. When you dash right, Ion's crosshairs will be about 7 meters behind you, which is much harder to correct in an instant. 1 more trick to universally "upgrade" Legion. Use the highest sensitivity as possible with Legion. Use advanced sensitivity settings to make your own sensitivity. Make it so that you can turn around and look up and down very quickly while firing the Predator Cannon. Note: Legion has 2 sensitivity settings. One for when he is not shooting the Predator Cannon and one for when he is. We focus only on shooting sensitivity (Predator Cannon aiming-down-the-sights sensitivity) since that is what matters during titan fights. However, make sure that this sensitivity is not too twitchy for pilot gameplay or for long range Legion shots since the same sensitivity is shared between pilots and titans. It also takes some time to adjust to different sensitivity. However, as a Legion, a very high shooting sensitivity allows you to track close range targets (point-blank pilots, ejecting pilots or for example Ronins that try to run around you) with high accuracy. This is also what makes the Gunshield manuever against Ronin possible. High shooting sensitivity also helps with battery-stealers. If someone steals your battery, you can turn around so very, very quickly that is is almost funny, and you can send a power shot at them. Love this game and this community so l wanted to write this down. A very nice thing if you managed to read all this. Have a nice day.
I’ve been playing since august 20th during the open beta 2 days after I turned 12. I’m about to 20 in 4 days now and its absurd to think this game has been out for 8 years now but at the same time I grew up with it and as I got older the game changed with me and is something truly special. From the DDoS attacks to being forgotten by respawn I’ve been through it all. When you were basically a fascist for even thinking about playing tone to when they first released Monarch and more than like 5 executions. Its been a crazy ride but undoubtedly the best
I played for 4 of those 8 years. I did countless tours in titanfall 1. From a long time retired pilot- you did a good thing here. My glory days- before the bills, the girls, the responsibility. Protocol 3: protect the pilot. Never forget 💪🏻
CTF is my favorite game mode. You don't have to guard the flag the entire match, there are still opportunities to play away from the flag, you just need to be fast.
It's a shame that people like Attrition over all the other modes. I think Attrition is almost the worst mode, only topping the likes of Amped Hardpoint. Every other mode is either objectively improved because the Objective puts a positive spin on the gameplay or because it limits the enemy types around to focus the gameplay more on TvT or PvP combat instead of the terrible unbalanced mess that is PvT/TvP. Live Fire is S tier for these reasons; Pilots only, (mostly) symmetrical objective that promotes map control, and it's round based single elimination (the closest arcade shooters get to sex game modes, in my opinion. They're that good.) I also agree on the taking a break thing. Doing something you don't wanna do is the fast track to forming resentment of it, even if that something is something you love. Honestly i couldnt add anything that you didnt say, except that there 4 phases of attrition, after titans, escape/hunt. When youve either loss/won the game and need to escape via the ship, or hunt down the escaping pilots. it doenst feel bad when youve lost a game, it gives you something to still aim or paly for till the very last second. and coming back next game. genuinely one of my favourtie games ever. i will say this tho, playing a fast pace game like this, then playing halo, its hell, it really ticks me off
I love Titanfall 2 but i haven't played in a couple years now. Personal tip for getting more enjoyment out of Frontier Defense: give your titan the enhanced combat chip and use your favorite anti titan weapon. I had a whole loadout wearing bright yellow colors that focused on not getting in my titan and being pilot the whole time. Its tricky to find the best way to stay alive on certain levels but i had a great time with it
14:59 I used Ronin and let it free roam or let it follow me to the main action while I was pilot. I mainly focused on shooting things I could and rodeoing like crazy.
I actually watched this game while playing titanfall. I started playing the original titanfall when I was pretty young and wasn’t very good at it. But when I finally got my hands on titanfall 2, its was the best game I could ever dream of. Ever since I’ve been playing it constantly. I’ve had several breaks that have lasted months, but I always come back to it. I’ve gotten to a point where I’m pretty good. I can outmatch or at least keep up with other players in my lobby, even when using trash weapons to handicap myself. I’ve learned all the quirks of the titans and how to kick ass with them in their own unique ways. And an even pretty great at tricking your average pilot with holopilot. Being a long time fan of titanfall has given me the skill necessary to truly appreciate the depth of this game. Because when you’ve mastered all the mechanics and know what’s going on, it’s an insane experience. Listening to bullets fly in every direction and masterfully dodging rounds from a tone while flying through the air is an experience I have never gotten from any other game. No other game makes me feel like I’m playing the main character in an action movie 🤣

I may not have played a lot of Titanfall 2 but it is up there in my top 10 games that I will never forget.

The Titanfall community is very supportive of new players, especially on Xbox. The FB and Reddit groups are still very active and is old heads love to teach our tricks and tips to new players.
It is the premier movement shooter, so much so that all games after it have tried to tone down the skill requirement because it alienates a large amount of potential players.

The most fun I get when playing Titanfall 2 is with the movement. With just a stim and a gravity star for nade boosting, I can zoom around the map. I love doing this in CTF where a couple times I got the flag in 10 seconds from spawning in. If you take the time to learn it, Titanfall 2 has the best movement out of any shooter. There's a really fun Mokeysniper video where he showcases the movement, called "A Loveletter to the Titanfall 2 Movement System".
The movement is so cool. I love the grapple, stim, even grenades for boosting yourself around lol. I’ll need to watch that video!
Wow, I've had this same situation he's describing at the end. Valorant would stress me out without me even having to play it, because I'd constantly think that I should be playing it to fill out the BP or whatever. Dropped the game months ago and went back to Titanfall 2 and PoE, never been happier. Also, it's unfortunate that Mr. Over dislikes the titan gameplay loop, I personally love the feel and sound design of how heavy a titan is, they did it so well.

Its a sum of its parts, but god damn these parts are incredible. Map/level design, the freedom in pilot gameplay and the endless customization of loadouts, the feeling you popping off even with a low position on the scoreboard, and the scorch prime execution (peak sound design)
It isnt without flaws, but they are so minimal its really hard for them to frustrate you.
Titanfall 2, while having a super high skill ceiling, is one of the most casual, stress free, fun, and immersive games ive ever had the pleasure of playing.

I understand the allure of the pilot gameplay but I'm more of a Titan person, myself.
If you dash off an elevated surface and crouch you can do a pseudo "slide" and maintain your momentum over a longer distance.
The lighter titans are actually capable of some more advanced movement on certain maps too.
I love the titan gameplay as well! My favorite thing is getting an early titan and using its power to oppress the enemy pilots lol. It’s a blast. I also think titan v titan combat is really interesting and complex with a ton of strategy to it. It also just serves as a great mix up from pilot gameplay so neither gamemode (pilot, titan) gets stale
I love titans for the sole purpose of destroying them. Running cloak with the blue balls and a mastiff to clear the indoor areas is the best. Plus my auto scorch does a much better job sniping ejecting pilots than me, so let daddy do his work

I play this game a lot. I love using the Kraber, because it helps teach new players that if you stand still, you die. Its also very satisfying. One of my favorite parts of the game is that the movement is very fast, but very predictable so you feel like an aim god every time you play. There is barley any A/D strafing involved and with a quick ttk, you don't have to be hyper focused on your aim to have fun.
I'm a pretty big titanfall2 nerd, played the game for years and I'm one of those guys that runs around the map at mach 10 with a Kraber. This game has and never will get old and I think I speak for a lot of people when I say I would enjoy a titanfall 3.

8 YEARS??? I was 13!! I remember playing the tech test and the first day it came out. I had so much fun playing this game, I remember telling all my friends and telling (practically forcing) them to buy the game. This game still and will forever hold a special place in my heart with how much fun I had and memories I have with it.

I was ready to simply listen to a video essay glazing a game I take to the base on the daily, but the combination of HI-FI RUSH OST and TEAM FORTRESS OST earned a subscription from me. You sir are 3 for 3 on my list of peak games of all time.

Frontier defense and attrition can still be played as pilot. I like to ballance it between fighting in my titan, or supporting my titan by taking batteries from the enemies.
If you just get into the mindset of a mosquito constantly bothering the titans it gets pretty funny ngl.

My favorite Battleroyale was Apex legends, I loved playing it, I loved completing the battlepass, I loved getting the new characters, until I reached the point where I got so burnt out from it, that I stopped. Well, I kind of returned last season for a specific skin but then I quit again, well, idk. who knows, I might return to it again. But for now, I am still taking a break from apex.

A game that is starting to give me that titanfall feeling you described is The finals. It is starting to right now but ive been playing since day 1 (with a break at season 3) and honestly it has a crazy potential to one day be on the same level of titanfall 2 or some others that do not really loose their spark

I always sucked as a pilot but when you throw me into my Monarch, we started to cut swaths into the enemies. I never really got to play a lot of the multiplayer when it was completely active but my friend and I jam Frontier Defense from time to time. No matter what, we have a good time.
This is absolutely a gem of a game. It is the best experience I have had in a multiplayer game, BF4 being the close second.
In terms of titans, I love my G100 Legion with Overcore and Extra ammo (long range maps) or Hidden compartment (close range maps). That titan, if used tactically and patiently, has the tools to consistently destroy every other titan in the game. And if you always aim at the enemy titans' critical hit spots (the red spots) like it was your religion to do so, you can put enemy titan from 100 % health to the doom state in 5-8 seconds depending on what type of a titan (stryder, atlas, ogre) you are shooting at. Hit your power shot(s) as well, and that damage output begins to rival Ion's laser core. Think about that. But unlike Ion, you can do very close to that amount of damage EVERY SINGLE MAG. And that damage is available both at close and moderately long range.
And believe me, there are a handful of advanced techniques that you can use as a Legion. Advanced techniques are not just for Ronins and Northstars.
For example, here are 3 of my favorite Legion manuevers and 1 effective trick to give a significant overall improvement to Legion:
Make Gun Shield practically immune to Ronin: Raise your Gun shield towards the sky (60° angle) when you are facing a Ronin and you see the Ronin using an Arc wave. The Arc wave will normally destroy your Gun Shield (without Bulwark Kit) but since you have raised your Gun Shield, its hitbox cannot be reached by the Arc wave. This allows you to save your shield and consequently soak up the entire mag of Ronin's Leadwall while being able to safely return massive amount of fire. Use this if you do not have a dash available (eg. you have already dodged one Arc wave) or you are too close to use the dash effectively. You can of course see the Arc wave as it goes towards you on the ground but to react faster it is better to follow Ronins right hand (there is the animation before and during Arc wave use).
Second manuever is due to the fact how the power shot has a charge time after pressing the button. This manuever is the easiest of these 3. Pre-charge your power shot behind cover by pressing the button you use to fire power shots. Right before the charging is ready and Predator cannon is about to fire, dash out of the cover to shoot the enemy titan. This is a surprise attack and it gives the enemy so little time to react that 99,5 % of the time they are not able to block that shot from hitting them. I have got so many LTS final kill cams with this tactic. This is a close-range mode tactic but with extraordinary aim it can also be used in long-range mode against Tones, Northstars and other Legions.
Third manuever (or manuevers) are effective against Ion when you have your Smart Core. When you use Smart Core against Ion, you often want to have your Gun Shield ready because Ion is trying to return all those bullets back at you with Vortex shield. Although your Smart core "electrifies" your rounds and they can melt Ion's Vortex shield, it is wiser to avoid the potential throwback damage. If Ion decides to just hold the shield, the shield can hold about 1.3-1.8 titan health bars of damage (not taking critical hits into account). This is not that much since Legion has 5 bars of health and possibly a battery too. However, getting a match-long titan killstreak with Legion becomes much easier with an approach that minimizes health loss at every opportunity. So, your Gun Shield can of course block those bullets but many Ions try to return those shots at your legs or your left shoulder since your Gun Shield does not cover them. When at close to medium range, you should crouch to prevent this. Crouching makes it much harder for Ions to hit those areas when you have Gun Shield active. At long range, Vortex shield loses its accuracy so just putting the Gun shield up usually is enough but you can also crouch to be sure. However, some Ions are still good enough to hit you even when you are crouching. And those Ions aim at your left shoulder. To counter this, you need to pay attention to when Ion's Vortex shield runs out due to Smart Core. Right when it goes red and is about to throw the bullets back at you, look QUICKLY to left (about 35-45° degree angle) from the Ion (or to the right from Ion's perspective) while continuing shooting with Smart Core. As your titan turns, so does your Gun Shield which is then able to completely cover your left shoulder, but it makes your right shoulder exposed, hence the need for good timing. You don't want the Ion to be able to react and return those bullets on your other shoulder. However, if you do not have Gun Shield ready or you are playing against a super good Ion, the manuever does not work or the propability of success is reduced, respectively. During those instances, you must dash right (right on your screen) about 1 second before the Vortex Shield is about to expire (deep red color on the Vortex shield). This manuever makes you go outside Ion's crosshairs right before those bullets are send back. When timed right, the Ion cannot react to your dash and correct the aim before the Vortex shield expires, which makes you able to dodge those bullets from the throwback. This is the highest skill manuever Legion can use and it requires absolutely pinpoint timing. Note: You must dash right (on your screen). Those Ions are looking at your left shoulder. If you dash left, Ion's crosshairs will then be at or near your right shoulder, and that aim is easier to correct. When you dash right, Ion's crosshairs will be about 7 meters behind you, which is much harder to correct in an instant.
1 more trick to universally "upgrade" Legion. Use the highest sensitivity as possible with Legion. Use advanced sensitivity settings to make your own sensitivity. Make it so that you can turn around and look up and down very quickly while firing the Predator Cannon. Note: Legion has 2 sensitivity settings. One for when he is not shooting the Predator Cannon and one for when he is. We focus only on shooting sensitivity (Predator Cannon aiming-down-the-sights sensitivity) since that is what matters during titan fights. However, make sure that this sensitivity is not too twitchy for pilot gameplay or for long range Legion shots since the same sensitivity is shared between pilots and titans. It also takes some time to adjust to different sensitivity. However, as a Legion, a very high shooting sensitivity allows you to track close range targets (point-blank pilots, ejecting pilots or for example Ronins that try to run around you) with high accuracy. This is also what makes the Gunshield manuever against Ronin possible. High shooting sensitivity also helps with battery-stealers. If someone steals your battery, you can turn around so very, very quickly that is is almost funny, and you can send a power shot at them.

I’ve been playing since august 20th during the open beta 2 days after I turned 12. I’m about to 20 in 4 days now and its absurd to think this game has been out for 8 years now but at the same time I grew up with it and as I got older the game changed with me and is something truly special. From the DDoS attacks to being forgotten by respawn I’ve been through it all. When you were basically a fascist for even thinking about playing tone to when they first released Monarch and more than like 5 executions. Its been a crazy ride but undoubtedly the best

CTF is my favorite game mode. You don't have to guard the flag the entire match, there are still opportunities to play away from the flag, you just need to be fast.

It's a shame that people like Attrition over all the other modes. I think Attrition is almost the worst mode, only topping the likes of Amped Hardpoint. Every other mode is either objectively improved because the Objective puts a positive spin on the gameplay or because it limits the enemy types around to focus the gameplay more on TvT or PvP combat instead of the terrible unbalanced mess that is PvT/TvP. Live Fire is S tier for these reasons; Pilots only, (mostly) symmetrical objective that promotes map control, and it's round based single elimination (the closest arcade shooters get to sex game modes, in my opinion. They're that good.)
I also agree on the taking a break thing. Doing something you don't wanna do is the fast track to forming resentment of it, even if that something is something you love.

Honestly i couldnt add anything that you didnt say, except that there 4 phases of attrition, after titans, escape/hunt. When youve either loss/won the game and need to escape via the ship, or hunt down the escaping pilots. it doenst feel bad when youve lost a game, it gives you something to still aim or paly for till the very last second. and coming back next game. genuinely one of my favourtie games ever. i will say this tho, playing a fast pace game like this, then playing halo, its hell, it really ticks me off

POV: The TTF2 campaign in a nutshell:
I love Titanfall 2 but i haven't played in a couple years now. Personal tip for getting more enjoyment out of Frontier Defense: give your titan the enhanced combat chip and use your favorite anti titan weapon. I had a whole loadout wearing bright yellow colors that focused on not getting in my titan and being pilot the whole time. Its tricky to find the best way to stay alive on certain levels but i had a great time with it
14:59 I used Ronin and let it free roam or let it follow me to the main action while I was pilot. I mainly focused on shooting things I could and rodeoing like crazy.
In frontier defense you can play the friendly pilot who collect batteries for others. Nuke rodeo is also great for your pilot.

I actually watched this game while playing titanfall. I started playing the original titanfall when I was pretty young and wasn’t very good at it. But when I finally got my hands on titanfall 2, its was the best game I could ever dream of.
Ever since I’ve been playing it constantly. I’ve had several breaks that have lasted months, but I always come back to it. I’ve gotten to a point where I’m pretty good. I can outmatch or at least keep up with other players in my lobby, even when using trash weapons to handicap myself.
I’ve learned all the quirks of the titans and how to kick ass with them in their own unique ways. And an even pretty great at tricking your average pilot with holopilot.
Being a long time fan of titanfall has given me the skill necessary to truly appreciate the depth of this game. Because when you’ve mastered all the mechanics and know what’s going on, it’s an insane experience. Listening to bullets fly in every direction and masterfully dodging rounds from a tone while flying through the air is an experience I have never gotten from any other game. No other game makes me feel like I’m playing the main character in an action movie 🤣
