Yes. This applies to both the out going S550 and especially the S650. Whether the Ecoboost or GT. I'm a big fan of tech upgrades like heated and cooled seats for the hot summer days. The S650 premium takes the interior to the next level. A luxury performance sports car. Still the best bang for the buck when comparing to the ending Challenger
Hi CJ love this video. I also did some research this is my humble opinion I prefer the GT premium this is a good informative video thanks. GT vs GT Premium 1. Pony Projection Lights - Practical 2. Foot Pedals - Aluminum - Not necessary 3. Heating Steering wheel - Practical 4. Premium Door trim leather - Not necessary 5. Garage door opener - Practical 6. Heated and Cooled front seats and leather - Practical 7. Wireless Charging pad - Practical 8. Dual Climate control (optional on the GT base) 9. Full screen (Preference)
The Recaro seats make absolutely no sense (unless you’re really active at the track). You lose the electronics, the heating, and the cooling, plus the Recaros are a $1,900 option (in Canada). Stocks seats on the Premium are just fine.
My guess is that its an option thats ticked off on the base model. Once they get forscan going on the 2024 i guarantee you that youll be able to turn them on.
If you want to get a return on your investment NEVER order anything without being fully loaded. This removes the ability for the dealer to say "Well it's missing this and this." Also when you are selling a car or truck this makes it a quick sell for top dollar in the future as well.
Actually it doesn’t make a difference. They just look up what options it had new and go off condition and offer you fair market value for trade. If a dealer offers you nothing because it doesn’t have this or that for options then you need to leave that dealer immediately. I actually made more off my 16 base performance pack than a coworker did off his 17 premium GT and we traded them in at basically the same time.
Car dealerships always find something wrong with the car. I trade in a 2021 premium gt and they tried all kinds of ways to offer less. If you buy a car based on what the trade in value might be, you are going into a lot of hurt territory. Buy the car according to your needs. Not the dealership’s.
I like the car but Ford really overpriced the cars. In 2021 you could get a loaded 401a PP2 for 42k with discounts. Now a GT PP1 configured the same way is 62k and it's missing the handling package 2 options. Plus a decent wheel and tire option is another 5k,; plus another chin spoiler and the base suspension PP1 is always too soft for anything considered "track". It's insane! There's more tech but not 20k more tech. I could see a 3k increase but not 20 once you add a comparably equipped car.
I bought a 21 mustang with 5k miles on it a few months ago. $48k. Premium with the lcd instrument cluster. I'm sure the 23s that are left on the lot will be discounted. I can't stand those screens. The s550 interior all compliments each other. Not one thing stands out. You look at the new mustang and those screens stand out. It does not blend well with the rest of the interior. I don't understand why ford did not go with smaller screens that fit in with the dash. Looks like an afterthought. Now that the mustang has no competition I think not will get worse over the years. No competition creates complacency.
I have fully optioned out 2019 gt premium and I know you don't like the change but am going for the dark horse . I dont mind the my Gt I only have 10k milee on in it in 4 years, lol the sticker was 56k I paid I paid 46k with taxes brand new.

100%. The performance pack comes with a very nice spoiler but if you didn’t option the PP I’ve seen lots of people have already done aftermarket spoilers on s650.
IDK... my Phase 2 Roush supercharged 2016 Mustang GT with the 6 speed manual and 3.31 rear, with a total investment of $39K, makes the 2024 seem way overhyped and over priced. That said... long live the Ford Mustang!!!!😊
Thats not so bad. My 2021 was listed at 56,00. Has everything but automatic trans (don't want it) and the convertible. Has everything else. Got it for 50,000.
Let's think this over. All manufacturer packages force you to buy items you don't really care about, just to get the options you want. Money grab. Reminds me of subscribing to a top tier satellite TV package just to get one favorite channel purposely not included in a more economical one. Miss when we could pick & choose individual options. I am a convertible owner but Ford's decision to require a premium package for a convertible will price it out of the market for many, including myself, and the resulting stunted sales will be used to justify its discontinuance.
Personally the 2 dash screens is beyond ugly to look at but the 1 connected screen is a lot more appealing personally, that alone is worth the premium upgrade everything else is just bonuses
plus the climate controls are the worst I have ever seen. You have to press the fan or temp button first just to bring up the actual control. Taking your eyes off the road to do it. On my mustang i can just feel for the dial without looking away from the road

No disrespect to the presenter of this RUclips story.. but… I found it confusing, in one sentence talks about standard vehicle, then talks about the premium vehicle and then switched back to ti options available to the standard vehicle etc etc… here in Australia as I understand it (and owner of 2021 modei)… we have only 3 choices of specs… being.. 2,3 four cylinder, v8 coupe or v8 convertible… 🤷♂️

Is it worth it, that's open ended for sure! If your comparing it to my current v6 only 2015 mustang with only 300hp and 280 lb-ft torque then the answer to your question sir is yes its more than worth it.
Those screens ruin the interior. If they were smaller and built intonthe dash it would be so much better. Looks like the screens were an after thought. I have yet to see one RUclips channel say anything negdtivr about those screens. I think the s550 looks so much better than this gen.
Those two screens just look goofy. Ford’s marketing team keeps trying to convince us that the screen is inspired by fighter jets. Not the case, the S550’s interior infotainment looks so much better and well thought out.

I doubt removing the filters will give you an additional 20 hp and be at the dark horse level. You know why they went with dual throttle bodies? Because of the filters, which reduces up, they had to use another throttle body to bring it back up. Maybe it would tice you an additional 20 hp. Or the ECU will compensate and be at the same level. Maybe over time it might throw a code because of the filters removed. This gen has no appeal to me. Especially because of those screens.
