Will it be destroyed by a slight amount of sand. Is there a warranty? How long do the batteries stay charged? What's the life expectancy of the battery? The motor? HOW MUCH DOES IT COST ? does it have reverse for fishing in brushy shallow water. How long does it take to charge the battery? How many batteries does it have? What's the replacement cost on the battery . Is it going to fry if I flip my kayak.....I guess i missed all this somehow.... where does it ship from. How much is shipping. Is there a backlog ? Don't like the mounting strap round the hull. Would rather see the mount bolted on to the top of hull.
    The strap would cause a slight bit of drag, but my main problem is damaging it in shallow water, on rocks and sand, or when dragging in and out of the water.

      There’s the lithium batteries to remember as well. They are expensive. Not justifying the cost mind you. It is expensive. When people buy kayaks like in this video for $1500 - $4000 or pedal drive Hobie kayaks for $2,000 + , this becomes more understandable. It’s smaller and lighter than anything you can design yourself. If a person can do this better, patent it and put it to market. You will be very wealthy as a result.

    Interesting idea for a kayak. Definitely decent speeds, but I don’t really understand what the drive to spend £1290 would be. I don’t know many kayakers who are out there to be sped around by a motor. This would be useful as a trolling motor for a fishing kayak, but you wouldn’t need the speed to be that great for trolling. Very cool implementation with the battery contained in the arm. Unique product for unique use case I guess.

    • @shitloveaduck
      @shitloveaduck 3 года назад +2

      You do t use that speed all the time. Even with a small boat & transom mount trolling motors, there are variable speeds up to about 4-5 mph. Faster if you adapt theme to a sleeker boat like a kayak. Nice when going out or coming in. Then you put around all day otherwise while fishing. Gotta look at the greater picture.
