Im a little upset that we werent allowed to witness this ingame in some way or form. It would have been totally epic if had had to travel back in time to fight a boss in the midst of one of these giant battles. what a scene that would have been.

That is explained in the lore. From what I understood, the tarnished we control is dead until someone or something, I think the Greater Will, brings him back to life to repair the Elden Ring and become king consort. Basically we were already dead, or we were not born when all of the wars happened, and we are brought to life just to fix all the mess. I also heard that the tarnished comes from a foreign region far away from The Lands Between and that is why we cn not interfere in the wars since we are not even in the same region.

The Gate of Divinity, the place where Marika is shown in the video, made out of Numen people is a structure that allows certain people to become gods. That is how Marika became a god by doing some kind of ritual. Those threads have something to do with it because they are also seen in the official video where Marika uses a hammer to break the Elden Ring and Radagon uses to fix it, they are seen in the video wrapping the hammer. What those threads are or represent, I do not know.
One must wonder how sad and pathetic a person's life must be if they think commenting "first" in a random video's comment section is a worthwhile achievement.
