What happens when you fuse a knight of the cathedral + Champion Gundyr and give that fusion magic of wind, ice, and lightning = The warrior who makes you question your existence.
Honestly, it's just game scaling. Any of the normal bosses or mobs with this level of scaling from the end of the DLC at Enir-Ilim would do pretty well against these guys. The zone scaling isn't the same thing as Scadutree frags. It's what makes the knights at the Haligtree three times stronger than the knights in Limgrave even though they'd be pretty similar from a lore perspective. Lorewise, a hornsent wouldn't stand a chance against Radagon/Marika who is literally a god that we can only beat by wielding destined death. I mean these guys are doing like 2 k damage a hit almost and have more HP than most of the main game's bosses. It's not that impressive when they're this overtuned against base game stuff. Only the bosses with special abilities stand a chance like Malenia's healing/scarlet rot, Mohg's Nihil, Maliketh's destined death, and fire giant's rolling bullshit.

In fact, many beleive she was the only succesfull saint produced, which is where Radagon comes from. She was a victim of them regardless, her whole village was wiped out by them. Its probabaly the resents the omen and their horns, as it reminds her of their atrocoties. The jars are guarded by Mesmer because they are in a clinic that is trying to reverse what was done to them. They choped people up and shoved them into jars, and turned tham into tortured, melded together beings. (The jars in the lands between, like alexander, are made from corpses, not people who are alive) Marika is fucked up, but no more than (and very likley because of) the horn-sent.
