Hell yes! I'm loving this update; it almost feels like a different game to je honest.

I wish I was motivated to play. I have been a Bethesda fan since Daggerfall, but I have had the feeling since the game released that I should keep waiting to play it. The game did not appear to be polished from the start: typical stiff-faced NPCs, less-than-stellar space travel (pun partially intended), room temperature review scores. Again, I've just had the impression since release that this game did not have the epic quality I had truly hoped it would have. I am glad to see Bethesda is still updating it, but I am waiting for some revolutionary updates to space travel/systems/gameplay-loops and then hear that the game is very compelling. I did the same for Cyberpunk 2077, waiting well over a year past release to play it, at which point CDPR had tranformed it into an outstanding game. Hoping the same for Starfield. Wish Bethesda had delivered better from the start - and I'm saying that as a big fan.
Please get ES6 right.
@forthwith The game actually released in a pretty good state compared to past Bethesda titles, bugs-wise, and on console at least, and i played a bit, but like you decided to wait, and i'm glad i did, because we now have fearures thst really should have been there at launch, like local maps, ability to eat foir without pucking it up, performance, graphic amd frame rate target options and things like that.
Like you i also decided to wait before continuing on with Cyberpunk, until the nrxt-gen patch, amd so glad i did.

I always prefer frame rate over resolution because the new UHDTVs are quite good at AI upscaling. Enjoyed every bit of Fallen Order at a smooth 60fps. Will jump back into Starfield soon. But also enjoying some Fallout 4. I'm glad games are still being improved especially by the time I get to my backlog. Good things come to those that are patient.
It looks awesome on Xbox Series X. It's a major win in my book.
I'm getting 90 plus fps on my series x with a 120 hts TV with vrr. It's awesome still has great resolution too. I'm loving it
Like most games I find the visuals are not noticeable enough to warrant 30fps. I really do struggle to see the difference graphically between performance and visuals but the difference between 30 and 60 is always noticeable
It looks so much smoother man. 30fps lock just has no place in the gaming industry in 2024.

The impossible...bro it should have been out at release. 1080p 60 fps isn't hard for any game. Bethesda said * bethesda didn't want to do 60 fps but phil at xbox said yes we can do 60 fps and he was right. Sam lake the guy who made alan wake 2 and the first one, he said their isn't a single game out there that can't do 1080p 60 fps. 1080p requires such little power you wouldn't believe it. Glad this update is out cause now i will finally play starfield,,,but it shoulda been 60 fps at start.

I'm playing this in graphics mode at 60fps, and this, along with the other improvements in this patch, havw been transformative for the game.
I'm so glad i held off early in the game and waited for the sort of improvements that this update brings; it's like a next-gen update, even though it's a next gen only game, if that makes any sense.
How you finding 60fps and visual mode? Not had a chance to play it yet, but didn’t know if having it on graphics and 60 would make it lag too much?
@jamesdavid4218 Yeah, it's great. At first i didn't think much of it, because i happened to be in New Atlantis when i continued tye game on the new version, which is probably the most demanding location in the game Lol but once you get into other locations, you really notice how smooth it is; i highly recommended giving Quality/60fps a go, especially if you have VRR.
Oh, the game actually looks nicer as well. They've added some really nice atmospheric and lighting touches to it all especially noticeable on atmospheric planets.

Its even better on a 120 fps screen with VRR getting 70-80 fps. 👍
@darrenscott6982 I'd probably not want to drop that much in resolution personally, but that's purely a preference thing, and its great that a higer frzne rate option is available for sure for that eveb smoother frame rate.

@@einaarinjsh it is most definitely fun now , they did a lot of updates since release , I’m playing 60fps with visual mode and it definitely enjoyable , no more 30fps headaches lol

Does Series S get 60 FPS? I might consider installing this controversional game again if it does. It's flaws with 30 fps locked framerate was too much for me to handle.
Weird, all other options with the update appears but for me on Xbox series x I don't have the display option to change the FPS

Finaly, For me 60 fps is minimum spec for a game that is comfortable to play

what I'm really excited for is all the new adjustment to the gameplay that was added. This is how the game should of launched... but better late than never! lol Also make outpost necessary like fall out 4, where you need to protect it and the NPC taking care of the outpost also need to be fed.

You have to up the video resolution to 1440p or 4k. My playback was at 140p for some reason, switched to 4k and the improvement is obvious. NTM, I tried the update on console earlier.

I’ll take 60fps over better graphics any day for this type of game. And to be fair graphic wise there isn’t a significant difference
You can still use the visual mode with 60fps, performance is not necessary

I think you’re youtube might be stuck on 60fps because its extremely extremely noticable
Look at faster moving animations like when bullets fly or steam/dust clouds, easiest to notice there

@@JehoneDjegshem ok thanks. I set my series x to 120hz 1080hd and it runs a lot better. But, after playing it felt boring lol. Maybe I will start over.
@@JehoneDjegshem I turned off motion blur too. It runs quite nice except during battles, and when lots of activity. But at least its playable now !!!

hey can we like get smart aliens and minigames like ping pong soccer lifting weights boxing or arcade machines seen all that stuff in starfield they're just not interactive wd be a nice touch if it had a lot of minigames built in like having a beer with a smart alien or sumn

I got to starborn lv 10 pretty much at launch i wont be playing this game again until they add more quest performance updates ain't enough to get me back its still a extremely empty game lacking content

You need to see an optician, or you haven't played it, as you need to play it really to appreciate the difference. Sering it in video, really doesn't do it justice.

Tbh, no on Starfield. As i am replaying Greedfall again. But i am only just 2 hours into playing Starfield, and on a planet that every creature wants to kill me. 🙃
But it's good to get 60FPS finally on Starfield. Dont understand why it couldn't be done from launch. 🤔 Seem like a lazy and rushed job to get the game out unfinished. 😮
Assassin's creed odyssey next on my list to play. So Starfield and dlc will have to wait for a few months. Over 100 games to finish and so little time in life. 😂
It’s still a boring game. 60 fps means nothing.
To be fair this is was my sentiment I just found it boring, I mean maybe I'm missing something but there isn't anything to grab you and pull you in.
