    How does Stellantis tend to do with Right hand drive? Some cars have slightly odd driving positions and glove boxes half full of fuses.
    Also, ~£45k for the 3008 is already bonkers, it's not much better given this thing will need the duel-motor if you actually have 7 in it.

    I politely disagree with those saying this doesn’t work for kids. I’ve had an estate EV for 3 years, taken it to Europe and Ireland every year, do the basics and more with a range nowhere near as generous as the 5008. We are a family of 5.
    That said, our EV is our only car and any time we have family/friends visit us, we struggle with space and, thus, trips are not possible. That extra row of seats at a reasonable price has me so excited about this EV

    Why is it so many reviewers such as yourself are so thrilled by a HUGE battery pack to haul around for most of the time when all your doing is driving around the city/town your not doing massive road trips 365 days of the year so why not have smaller battery, good charging rate and ubiquitous reliable dependable charging infrastructure everywhere?

    • @timmitchell6799
      @timmitchell6799 2 месяца назад +3

      For the same reason that ICE drivers like bigger fuel tanks. I paid (a little) extra for a tank to do 550 motorway miles rather than the default 350-400 miles. I HATE refuelling on motorways because of the inflated price and the delay. When I buy an EV I want to charge on domestic night rate. Maybe you can do maths that says I should save on car cost and more than pay for that extra recharge cost, but after a while I will forget the car cost and I will hate the motorway recharge cost every time. AND the infrastructure barely exists north of Manchester.

    • @MykolaDzham
      @MykolaDzham 2 месяца назад +3

      Because I'm not driving around city/town - I use public transit for this. When we use a car it's usually relatively long distance.

    You as a double dog owner should really show if it and how it fits double or single dogcages. It's the law in some countries. I always check the price first. Someone with lots of kids also does that. Since you talk about transporting kids should be testing cleaning a milkshake or the likes in all three rows, seats, floormats and side's . No, I didn't like the review. You should be testing sports cars. Power, brakes, acceleration... That are not very everyday things. Step up your reviewing game please.

    Strange to be more compromised than the last model. We seem to be going backwards. I also much prefer an open ‘walkthrough’ cockpit - super practical. Easier to clamber through to the back or passenger seat if needed and stretch out. It’s not for me.

    This car basically only has 1 competitor: Kia EV9
    + Good price, very good range compared to the EV9
    - No one pedal drive.
    - No LFP battery, which allows you to charge to 100% on a daily base. EV9 also does not have LFP battery.
    - No proper EV only dedicated platform
    I would still go for the EV9 because one pedal drive is really a game changer.

      Volvo EX90 when it will finally come will be 5 meters (and even more expensive).
      Hyundai will also come with IONIQ 9 at some point, but it will be most likely about 5 meters too.

    As an American who owns two electric vehicles, I get angry at EV bashers who claim we can’t buy decent quality, moderately priced battery-powered vehicles. If we could buy cars from Peugeot, Renault, Skoda, etc., we would have much better choices without turning to the dreaded C**nese. From what I have heard about the Skoda Enyaq, my wife and I would have bought one instead of the VW ID.4 we own if we had been able to buy a Skoda. It’s discouraging to watch reviews of these cars and see what we are missing. I hope this note helps the algorithm.

    Need to test EVs that have just turned 4 years old, and compare them to their I.C.E equivalents, running costs, range, value. Its all well and good when shiny and new, but the average individual or family doesn't really want to change vehicle every 3 years or can afford to, even more so now that taxes are about to go through the roof in the UK.

    If the price point is right as suggested then this really is worth considering if you have all those ankle biters. For those of us without children or who have not yet thrown away the chest wig and gold medallions this is pretty dire. Definitely my favourite and in my opinion the best electrifying presenter. Just a wonderful way of making the details interesting which only a fraction of motor channel journalists can do. However, in this case the impact of the butty bribe is clear to see, I am glad that clear bias was admitted on camera along with photographic evidence of the ensuing gluttony.

    So this car is for very specific family: 2 small kids and 2-3 other over 145cm tall from (preferably) previous marriage. And the lack of space implies the new wife to be under 160 cm tall. Very specific needs 😂
    Anyway, EV9 can seat 6-7 adults of 188cm. But is a significantly bigger car.
    And EV9 has 4-5 isofix for the many kids in one batch family
