Why do you obsess with the meb while there is no 3 row meb SUV. But there is ev9, eqb, eqs SUV, model X… nobody who needs a three row SUV, will cross shop between this and an ID3 or Skoda enyaq lol
EQB is just GLB with the engine replaced. Other are significantly bigger and more expensive. But yes, those who need 7 seater will (have to) choose among of these, not between E5008 and Enyaq - if you don't need 3rd row then why would you ever chose E5008 when E3008 exists?
I dont like that "furniture world " trend in cars ,its so easy to make stain spots than you cant get rid off ,you cant take it off and put in washing mashine.YOu need fabric that dont get stains and can be easily wiped
As this is actually same E-3008 just with 3rd row, I believe main customers would be those, who want to have "occasional 3rd row". So when you'll test it for a longer time please at least show the 3rd row :) FYI we have the previous generation of 5008 (gasoline). And it is so practical, that we just don't see any comparable electric replacement of it for now... And unfortunately the new E-5008 is a little step back in practicality: 40/60 in the 2nd row instead of 3 separate seats, lifted boot floor. Also how convenient is this gear selector on the front? The one on the central console in the previous generation is great, I can't understand why they changes this ... Also it's good they still have physical buttons on the steering wheel. Unfortunately they are still non logical: right/left for volume up/down is okish, but up/down for next/previous song/station is just not possible to remember (and it flips depending on what is on the screen!). How is Android Auto / Apple Car Play? Is it finally wireless? Can it show navigation hint on the instruments display?
I have a -21 3008 and just ordered the new 5008 as mild hybrid. The third row and massive boot is what I need as with 2 adults a child and a dog 3008 is not enough
@@RetroMute Well 5008 should be good for you but TBH not the only option. Yes you need a lot of space, but you don't need two car seats and an adult to fit in the second row with two more adults on the 3rd row at the same time do you? So something like Skoda Enyaq would probably also work for you. It's not an option for those, who need to occasionally have 5 and more people in the car (and when 2 of them are in child seats)
Doubt they can just slap on extra motor on the LR, the 3008 is already heavier then bigger cars and this is Even more heavier, they have done a poor job with the weight savings, Even more weight would go over the payload and no point having 7 Seats without the capacity to fit em, they could do as eqb and Come with a 5 Seater 5008 with awd and big battery, eqb has only tow Hitch on the 5 Seater problaly because of weight.
It has a start engine button.. this tells me everything I need to know about this car 😂 and only 160kw charging. This car should have been released in 2020 not 2024 🤦

@@iambenmitchellyes, it has! And it has faster charging now. I think it has 180kw now but not sure. What matters more is the chargecurve though. If it drops off fast like Teslas do, you might get equally fast charging times if it has a flatter curve.
@@iambenmitchellmost people charge at home and rarely have any use for rapid chargers. My car taps out at 150kWh, if I’m away from home I’ll time charging stops to lunch time where I can get 90% charge in the 30 minutes we spend eating.
