the companies should pay you quite a lot of money or a lot of free equipment for this video. This don’t even looks like a “RUclips” video, instead It looks like an infomercial ad for trinnov, wisdom audio, atmos, and Atlanta theatre. Edit: damn, Alex is so professional, he looks like a paid actor/professional interviewer! This video looks like a planned out, written skit, rehearsed like per line paid actors infomercial. Kudos Michael, this video is so professionally done! Great job!!
Great video ! Congrats to Alex on a mind blowing set up. The challenge is to now get my wife to watch this. She thinks I’m crazy for wanting to upgrade my 3 year old sr7012...
I never comment, usually hit like and keep it moving, but I had to commend you on putting together such an awesome video. It was very informative and I gladly watched all 59mins and 41secs. Thanks again Michael!!
Still have a perfectly working Sony DVP-S7700 player. Found it at a thift store for $10. Very cool piece of gear. Watching this channel is causing a slight home theater itch to come back. I had a 6.2 system with a Sony STR-DE1075 back from 2001 to about 2005. Then switched to a 2.2 system and have been running 2 channel ever since. I'm content with it because I don't watch to many movies these days.... so idk.
i think your channel has found its calling as you seem to be a great colaborater and host, these videos show really good new and or different designs of speakers and theaters. A lot of eye candy but more importantly a lot of really good info. Thanks
First off, thank you for the content and it's clear you put a lot of work into this. I hope these companies paid you handsomely for their portion of the 60-minute commercial. After reading through the comments I realize I'm in the minority as most if not all loved this video. However, I prefer videos and room tours that have some personality. I was drawn to your channel because you're a fun guy to listen to and it was a refreshing change from channels like the Audioholics which just put me to sleep. I hope this comment doesn't come off as negative to anyone involved because it's not my intention. It's a beautiful room, the company that built it did a great job.
Thank you for the kind words Marc. No I don’t take offense to your comments at all. Thanks for sharing your thoughts. Most tours are typically just me and the homeowner but with this collaboration, we decided to try a different format. It was a cool dynamic that I believe added a lot of value to the video as there was over a century of experience sharing their knowledge in this video.
Michael great job on the video Alex if you're watching this you have a very nice theater room I just don't understand why people are putting it thumbs down on it it's just doesn't make no sense you actually did it right from the beginning and you gave me some good ideas for my Phase 2 setup that I'll be doing to my home theater congratulations on a very well-done theater room👌👍
Keep in mind, there are those who will thumb down a video even before the video premieres. My guess is they are unhappy with their life and choose to be negative. It’s pretty clear based on all of the comments they are in the minority.
@@Youthman I learned about JTR and Wisdom Audio from you, didn’t even know they existed! You need to hit up Revel Speakers and Atlantic Technology speakers/subs next if you can. Great job again!
Wow Michael best video so far by far, everything about it is so great, will done and congrats for Entering the very elite league 👏 Long time fan from Kuwait
Badass video. Really Seems your channel Is starting to hit that next level with these crazy videos you’ve Been coming out with! I really want to have a badass decent home theater one day.
Everyone was a bit up-tight in this video almost as if it was staged, but the information was still very good regardless. I appreciate the insight and all the people that were brought in to speak.
It wasn’t staged but certainly was coordinated by me so that the video would flow from one aspect to another. Each of these gentleman are used to speaking in front of crowds (ie trade shows, trainings, demos). I didn’t feel they were uptight at all.
Really enjoyed this exceptional video. I've shared it with a few friends who have caught the home theater bug and recommended they subscribe to this channel so they can learn more about the hobby. Congrats on hitting it out of the park with the bases loaded. 😎
Really nicely planned out, Very informative. Chuck Gerlach as well as the other guests all seem like the real deal. I was hoping Alex would give us the final tally on this amazing investment that I’m sure he and his family are able to maximize their enjoyment. Many kudos Youthman, you never fail to disappoint. 👏🏻 👏🏻
Most homeowners do not want to share on video how much they paid in fear that their spouses will see the video and find out. LOL. With all seriousness, I do not ask homeowners how much they spent as that would be similar to asking how much they make or how much they paid for their house. I feel it's a personal issue. His Wisdom speakers are around $10,000 each and his processor is $16,000 so it's definitely a high end system.
You have really stepped up your game with this one . I do not know how you will ever top this one . May god bless and I cannot hardly wait for your next video . I continue to learn . I have started my own home theater project . But you give so many ideas that I am finding it hard to decide which way to go with the theme of the theater . I am wonting to go with a up scale family room and not a room of theater seats . Wish me luck .
Thank you for the kind words Rodney. Honestly it’s not up to me to “top this one call. I’m simply trusting the Lord to lead the way and open up opportunities like this to be able to share with my audience.
Seaton subs are just fantastic! Really fantastic theater! Just love the gear and those GIK treatments are way cool! I have plans to get a hush box some day myself. Top notches all around! Thanks Micheal 👌😎
That was the first time I had ever even heard of a hush box. Very cool idea. I wish I would have shown the air ducts and pump that pushes cold air into the hush box and sucks hot air out of the hush box.
@@Youthman Yes in situations with high or even any projector fan noise they can really transform ones space. Some things to also consider to design into the box is IR remote and 3D signal emitters.
@@keepingupwiththejones2933 Good thinking. I’m in the beginning stages of one. I’m going to CEDIA in August this year and I’m going to keep an eye out for companies that specialize in these.
@@Youthman Definitely. Made me add the finishing touches to my room and order some more acoustic treatments! Funny enough I was going with GIK before seeing this. Helped me pull the trigger.
WOW 👏👌👌 some absolutely incredible content and information in this video, thanks so much for sharing! Standout theater, tour and interviews all in one 🔥🔥
Some of your videos have me inspired. I’ve thrown together some older equipment. Found my fathers old miller and Kriesel double 12” sub to go with my Polk 12 inch sub- found an older pioneer elite DTS 7.1 receiver, clearance epson 3700 ($650) and a 20% off amazon special acoustic transparent 120” screen. Some Polk audio 265rt in walls. I’m into my system $2k and it rocks for my upfront cost.
Youthman, you need to get a kickback from Lotto & Mega Million. This video presentation will make all your viewers to run to the nearest 7 Eleven and play the Lottery (starting with me, and I have a decent dedicated Home Theater). This system is aspirational. I venture to estimate is $200K installed.
This is a great set up and this guy got a great taste in furniture to complete the look as well. So many people seem to always go for in my opinion baggy black leather seats so this looks a very stylish look for a home theatre set up. Nice job. 😎
Awesome high end home cinema, Trinnov processor, 8 mighty Seaton subs and those wonderful Wisdom line source speakers 😍 Plus very clean minimalistic room aesthetics. And goes to show acoustic panels can look very nice if you get one's that blend in with the room decor. Plus great production values from Youthman, top quality video 💯 Positive vibes for all us audio video enthusiasts. And all the new ones just getting into this wonderful hobby 👌🏾 Only thing I personally didn't like is you can't sit dead centre of the screen and front & rear speakers as it's two seats joined together. They do look luxurious super comfy though, and I do prefer fabric lounge seats to the typical generic cinema style seats.
@@bigcoupe200312 I meant I personally like to sit my main seat dead in line facing the screen, most people do if they can manage it in there room. So I'm facing direct centre of the screen for the best view. And direct centre between the front left and right speakers etc for the perfect audio sweetspot. The two big arm rests of the two sofas are right in the middle of the centre. So you would have to sit slightly off centre to the left or right. It's simple physics sitting directly in line facing the centre of the screen of any commercial or home cinema. In a big budget or small budget cinema is always the best most immersive audio visual seat in the house/auditorium. Audioholics new home cinema also doesn't have a directly middle seat either, as not enough room for a 5 seat front row. Apart from the 3 seat back row that's beside the rear wall. Almost everyone has some compromises in certain areas regardless of the cost of the build. Having nice aesthetics decor is another compromise as it doesn't give the maximum picture quality from the projector screen. For that you need light rejecting black velvet all in the whole first third or two thirds of the room. It gives a amazing pure pitch black hole experience for movie watching when the lights are off. But unfortunately when the lights are on it looks very plain dark like a dungeon. Again awesome job Alex evolving your home cinema to where it is now a reference system. I can only imagine those Wisdom speakers sound something special. Thanks for sharing your amazing home cinema.
@@keepingupwiththejones2933 It's a reference cinema way beyond most people's dreams 👌🏾 I wasn't nitpicking, was just saying things how they are regarding the best main seating position for a home cinema. It's just basic physics in a recording music studio or cinema, that any audio engineer, acoustician or projectionist would tell you. That sitting in line between the speakers and screen will give you the best audio video experience. Do see lots of love seats in home cinemas high end and lower budget these days. WAF 😆 but It is a compromise sitting off centre in a home cinema. Whereas a single guy/woman can easily at least make the front row have one directly in line centre seat.
@@keepingupwiththejones2933 aww I think I might be a bit OCD regarding symmetry 😆 I had a few compromises as my home cinema is also my living room 😅 13 acoustic panels, absorption and diffusion all on show in a typical fairly small UK living room. But I researched looked for many months for ones that look unique, stylish and blend in with my room decor and colour scheme. 7 seats total in the living room but only one main centre sweetspot sitting position. A modded IKEA Poang chair with blue velvet fabric seat cover and remote control pouch. Upgraded higher density foam cushion and back/head rests. 3D printed drinks holder and snacks tray. No projector but pre-ordered the new Panasonic 65inch JZ2000 OLED.
This feels less like a HT Tour and more like a infomercial. Need more Michael talking to the HT owner and less talking heads. That being said, B roll was on point! Alex’s theater is sweet. Love to see other HT peeps making there Dream theater happen! Thanks for sharing.
Thanks Samuel. We tried something new with this video and based on the vast majority of comments, it has been very well received. People seem to enjoy hearing the technical side of each person that had a part in this home theater build. I certainly could not tell you anything about line source technology or Trinnov as this was my first experience with it. I figured you guys would be tired of seeing this talking head lol
@@Youthman So happy that many people enjoyed it! Bah, don’t sell yourself short. This was less “technical side” and more PR guys giving there company’s talking points to Alex as he listened. You would have done great and added that youthman charm to the conversation. I could only speak for myself, but I would have personally found it more interesting watching YouthMan engaging with Alex and the Trinnov guys more. I mean that is why I personally watch the channel. If I want a straight Wilson or Trinnov PR tech dump there are plenty videos on there respective sights that have similar info. Please don’t take this as someone who did not like the video or the production value. This is meant to be constructive feedback from my personal perspective and may not be shared with the many people who loved the video. Thanks for taking the time to reply!
I certainly appreciate you sharing your thoughts. I’m always open to hearing the opinions of others. I learned a lot hanging out with each of these guys, even if it is viewed by some as merely PR talk. Thanks for watching
That's an amazing theater! Yes, line arrays are perfect for home theater. CBT arrays take it a step farther but are more complex. Physically curving them makes it more difficult to integrate into the room and DSP curving them requires multiple DSP and amplifier channels for each speaker. Either way, it's pretty much limited to either DIY or even more expensive commercial than this system. As far as I know, it's not commercially available so DIY is really the only option.
@@whenwillitsnow Well basically the same unless you are talking about a continuous radiator as opposed to closely spaced individual drivers. Are you familiar with CBT lines? Unlike conventional lines, the CBT is constant beamwidth independent of frequency. The CBT achieves frequency invariant dispersion through delays that follow a circular arc, and a Legendre shading function. The dispersion can be defined in the design parameters to provide whatever coverage is desired with uniform constant directivity. Conventional lines simply can't do this but they are still generally far superior to more, "point source" type designs at least for home theater in my opinion. Edit: Btw, there is a commercial CBT product by JBL. I never gave it much thought or credit but recently someone sent measurement data that looked surprisingly good. It's really too small to behave like a CBT very low in frequency however. Despite the Wisdom being a simple straight unshaded line, I suspect it probably sounds a lot better. I haven't heard either, that's just from observation of the design and components used in each. The JBL is made for pro-audio so while, within a limited frequency range, it may have better dispersion control than the Wisdom, I doubt it holds a candle to it on overall sound quality. It would be interesting to hear both.
@@lukerestlessstudios Yes that's one of the nice things about Planars, AMT's etc, very much a pure resistive load. As for no passive crossover, I rarely use passive crossovers for anything, active is the only way to go, Ive been doing that since the mid 1980's. Back then it was analog but all DSP these days. Their line will do exactly what any straight unshaded line will do, there isn't any magic or bypassing laws of physics involved. Dispersion characteristics of line sources have been well understood and documented for many decades. Ideally a straight unshaded line should be infinite which is normally achieved by making the line floor to ceiling. In this case the listener is, in effect, always in the center regardless of vertical listening position, which eliminates vertical beaming at higher frequency. Btw, the term, "shading" simply means attenuation. Shaded lines radiate full output in the center and attenuate output toward the ends of the line based on a mathematical function called a Legendre. This alone improves the uniformity of the vertical dispersion. Increasing delay toward the ends of the line also improves vertical dispersion. Combined, these can produce a line with constant directivity in the vertical axis while maintaining the characteristic wide dispersion in the horizontal axis. There is no other known mathematical way to achieve this constant directivity from a line. The technology was developed for the US Navy, to project broadband energy within a specified beam so that this beam could be maintained independent of frequency. Conventional radiators radiate increasingly wide dispersion at lower frequency and increasingly narrow dispersion at higher frequency. This technology was developed to radiate constant dispersion at all frequencies for the purpose of mapping the ocean floor using spherical cap radiators. After declassification it was adapted to audio by D.B. Keele. Numerous AES (Audio Engineering Society) papers have since been written by Keele and others on the topic. The guys at Wisdom Audio are no dummies, I'm sure they are aware of this technology but they are also aware of the complexity involved. To do this with a physically straight line would require each concentric pair of drivers to have their own DSP and amplifier channel. Near the center, where the curve demands very short delays, commonly available DSP doesn't have the resolution required. The only options would be to make the center of the line curved thus creating cosmetic and physical mounting issues or simply approximate the center... that is leave it straight and pretend it's curved. Curving the rest with DSP would still work pretty well. Doing it right would increase the cost by an order of magnitude with questionable levels of "real world" improvement. Personally I once had unshaded straight line main speakers in my old theater. I later shaded them and kinda regretted doing it. Complexity was significantly increased for an improvement that made measurement graphs look prettier but could I or anyone else claim they heard a difference? Not so much! My new theater will have full CBT's including the curve and the shading but only because I can and because keele would shoot me if I didn't;-) Would a floor to ceiling straight unshaded line work just as well? Yeah probably. The center speaker however will be horizontal so a straight unshaded line wouldn't work at all for this and thus it must be CBT. My old theater had a fully physically curved horizontal CBT and it worked perfectly but it was 7.5' wide and a couple feet deep due to the curve which made mounting/positioning etc problematic. The new one will be physically curved only near the center and DSP curved near the ends keeping it much shallower and possible to mount behind the screen. Again, for this horizontal application a conventional line wouldn't work at all but the CBT is pretty much unbeatable because you can control the dispersion and cut it off just beyond the outer most seats and have virtually nothing bouncing off the walls etc.
Dude has the exact hardware I’m getting for my rack. All ATI amps, Trinnov, UB-9000, Kaleidescape and the Zappiti with NAS. Oh and I suppose thrown in Control 4 as well. Only differences are I will be going with RBH speakers and Laser 4K projector.

I learned more here than I did in most channels ever!!! Wowza…you killed it Youthman. I have some goals now!
I appreciate the kind words. Glad you’re enjoying the content and finding value in it
@@Youthman I learned about JTR and Wisdom Audio from you, didn’t even know they existed! You need to hit up Revel Speakers and Atlantic Technology speakers/subs next if you can. Great job again!
The work and effort into this video is a Flawless Victory!! You've outdone yourself!
Thank you for the kind words Geo
This was a very good video. Definitely the best home tour ive seen yet.
Best end user sales person ever!
Wow Michael best video so far by far, everything about it is so great, will done and congrats for Entering the very elite league 👏

Thank you Ahmad.
Watching this on my humble 95” theatre setup. You guys rock!
That’s still awesome! Thanks for the kind words Alex
Great video. The quality of production was really good. Lighting, sound, content, and editing all great. Having the experts there made good content.
Thank you John. I am always striving to improve my craft
This was so great! The theater as well as the interview style was very entertaining.
Thank you kindly. There is always a risk and trying something different But in this case, it looks like it was a great decision
Alex interviewing Atlanta Home Theatre is kind funny considering he’s the CEO lol
I couldn't think of a better person to be the new CEO than Alex. Absolutely incredible guy.
90 percent of people can’t afford this but I love it when he says “You absolutely need 8 7hz subs” in a theatre room bigger than most peoples houses”
I'm speechless! Simply Amazing planning and execution, great job Alex! Thank you Youthman for this treat!
Glad you enjoyed it

Yes sir this video took me two days to edit. Pretty excited to share it with everyone
you are the man for covering something like this so in-depth fantastic work!!!!!
Glad you enjoyed it. It was an awesome experience
Badass video. Really

Been coming out with! I really want to have a badass decent home theater one day.
Thank you Davey. Glad you are enjoying the content. I’m just trying some new concepts. They seem to be well received.
Excellent video! Gives me ideas for the evolution of my theater! Thanks Youthman!
Awesome! I always hoped to inspire others through my videos
What an incredible video man… great work!

NICE!!!! The man is serious about his sound & picture!!!! Big up!!!!
Really enjoyed this exceptional video. I've shared it with a few friends who have caught the home theater bug and recommended they subscribe to this channel so they can learn more about the hobby. Congrats on hitting it out of the park with the bases loaded. 😎
Thank you for the kind words Ron. I’m glad so many people enjoyed this approach. Might have to do more of it in the future.
Wow youthman unbelievable content!! How this tour was done with everyone involved was so special! 🙏🏿🙏🏿👍🏿👍🏿

Having seen these components before, you can tell that he had a pretty good budget! That’s a pretty nice system.
Yes, it’s definitely a high end system
Man I just love home theater! Can’t wait to watch!
Awesome video to watch before building my own home theatre in the near future. thank you for this presentation guys 🙏🏻🙏🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Wow. This is amazing. A Beautiful Home Cinema. One of the best cinemas, i have ever seen. Congratulations:-) :-) :-) :-)
Just awesome. Brilliant set up. I love the entire set up.
Great production, thanks Michael.
Thank you Paul

That’s awesome Mitch! Enjoy the journey
Awesome video!! I learned a lot. Alex seems like a really cool guy, Great communicator he must be in sales or marketing.
Alex is indeed a very cool guy.
I loved it, incredible home cinema
Glad you enjoyed it Jose
Youthman, you hit this one out of the park. Very articulate guess, top quality theatre system- thanks for sharing.
Thank you for the kind words Ian
Love the video. Was wondering if you could find out what theater seats or just regular seats he uses in there
Someone else asked the same question. Alex is checking with his designer. I’ll post back once I find out
Youthman, you need to get a kickback from Lotto & Mega Million. This video presentation will make all your viewers to run to the nearest 7 Eleven and play the Lottery (starting with me, and I have a decent dedicated Home Theater). This system is aspirational. I venture to estimate is $200K installed.
🤣🤣🤣 too funny David 😀
A lot more than that - just the speakers alone would be $200k. With all the other gear plus pro install it’s around a $ mill
This was awesome! I could watch this multiple times. Great job 👏🏻
Please feel free to do so
This is a great set up and this guy got a great taste in furniture to complete the look as well. So many people seem to always go for in my opinion baggy black leather seats so this looks a very stylish look for a home theatre set up. Nice job. 😎
That’s not a home theater. That’s a home cinema. Amazing video too
It's just in America they usually call it a home theater. Whereas in the UK where I'm from we usually call it a home cinema. Yep amazing video.
Home Cinema does sound more fancy. But C A is correct, we typically refer to them as a home theater in the US. Thanks for watching
Heh - I’m in America too. I was just trying to emphasize how proper it is 😅. It’s a great home theater/cinema 👌
Gotcha lol. The way you described it, it does sound like you were in another country
This may be one of your best introductions!
Thanks! Trying to up my game with every video
And all the new ones just getting into this wonderful hobby 👌🏾
Only thing I personally didn't like is you can't sit dead centre of the screen and front & rear speakers as it's two seats joined together. They do look luxurious super comfy though, and I do prefer fabric lounge seats to the typical generic cinema style seats.
I agree.
Actually with the calibration in place we can put all the weight in one chair. So one of the seats does actually carry the main listening position.
Learning a lot, "line source speakers!!" Mind blown
I’m learning as well.
Beautifully done!
What's awesome about Alex and these videos is that we can show our wives that we're not the only ones who are this nuts about this hobby. 😂
Exactly! Then we can show them that our home theaters really aren’t that expensive in comparison to what we could’ve spent LOL
Well done Youthman. Very interesting.

The Real Dreamland Home Theatre is Real😱👍just AMAZING 😱❗
That's an amazing theater! Yes, line arrays are perfect for home theater. CBT arrays take it a step farther but are more complex. Physically curving them makes it more difficult to integrate into the room and DSP curving them requires multiple DSP and amplifier channels for each speaker. Either way, it's pretty much limited to either DIY or even more expensive commercial than this system. As far as I know, it's not commercially available so DIY is really the only option.
These are Line Source, not Line array. Very different.
Joe did a great job explaining in the video what a line source is and how it is beneficial for a home theater
@@Youthman Yes he did!
