Install company, yes they did a great job but credit needs given to the home owner. This guy and his son did amazing work in concept, design and doing lots of work themselves. Absolutely incredible job by all involved!
When you are out of breath just breathing, it's a sign that you need to improve your health. The big fella sounds like such a nice bloke, but he needs help. None of what I say is meant to sound mean, in any way. I wish him all the best.
I love that he built this himself with everyone he knew. It's incredible! If it was just "someone paid for this room", then who cares! The journey with the owner is what made this video worth watching!
Could not agree with you more. Here is another incredible Home Theater where the homeowner was involved in every aspect of the build - ruclips.net/video/fAmUKx72VyI/видео.html
I really like that yes, the homeowner has money, but anything he could do diy, he did. Not to mention the level of creativity between him and his son. Absolutely amazing.
Indeed, I have seen a lot of theatre rooms online that were executed poorly despite an immense budget simply because the owner was not hands-on and the contractor did not care much either. Of course, having the money for the gear and the space itself is important, but I think the most important think in building a great home theater is having a passion and engaging with as much as you can yourself.
Personally I think a soundbar and sub is better than a theater. I don't think I've ever had a movie experience I liked more than in home movies. But yes this theater is leagues beyond anything I've ever seen.
If you feel a sound bar and subwoofer is better than the theater, I would recommend you get out more and experience some other home theaters. I have visited over 50 home theaters and not one of them sound worse than a soundbar and a subwoofer.
From Australia all I can say is: in the USA, anything that can be dreamt of, can be made. What ingenuity, brilliance, dedication and professionalism. 10/10. Well done mate, well done.
One word…Stellar. Phenomenal job Youthman. Not only on the production quality (and the most amazing home theater tour yet), but also your interview with both the gentleman from Atlanta Home Theater and the homeowner. Engaging and informative, just an incredible job.
Very inspiring, the force is strong with this one. In such a large space it is very difficult to apply a themed integration. I love the home-owners massive involvement, and attention to detail, it is how great projects like this come to life. Well done!

Best Star Wars Home Theater in the Galaxy! Charlie is one of the most down to earth people too! Thank you for sharing this amazing experience! And we especially love those LED panels with greeblies!!
This is the kind of theaters that I would love to do for myself but maybe with a different theme. Great job to the home owner. Anything is possible if you really put your heart into it.
Charlie has a really cool Guy Fieri and young Mickey Rourke had a child vibe to him..♥️♥️🔥🔥 And he was raised by Julia Child and Steven Tyler giving him that rock star southern gentleman quality. Charlie thanks so much for sharing this astounding passion project for all the world to enjoy. ♥️♥️🔥🔥
So, I'm going to give a crituique of this entire dual interview. I feel like this was conducted very professionally. There's a lot of great conversation throughout, and it's very engaging to listen to and see. A good interview is when the interviewer opens doors, and sets a general rough course, and then sits back, and pays attention to what his/her subject has to say. Never rushing, cutting in, and actually listening. So many people today, miss so much, as they aren't listening to you talk, they're waiting for their turn to talk. this is refreshing to see, and made me a new fan. I'm a fob sub now lol.
This guy is living my dream! This theater is as you guys said out of this galaxy! I know we've seen everything in this space but if we can see more I'd be more than happy to watch! Much respect to everyone for making this possible and you Michael for showing us this masterpiece of a home theater! Oh btw the Star Wars team HAS to see this in person! This is absolutely I N S A N E ! ! !
As much as I love the theater, I'm even more impressed by three guys -- Michael, Alex and Charlie -- who are clearly passionate about life and living it to the full. We need that kind of energy in the world today. Love the channel, Michael!
Fantastic work! Great collaborative effort! Glad to see other companies, putting in the effort they should. Makes our industry better. Thanks for sharing, Youthman!
Michael, this guy is amazing. Like you, I was wowed away with amazement like you were. I’ve been a Star Wars fan from the first movie. I built another new home 25 years ago, and I wanted a dedicated theatre room. I wish I knew what I know now 25 years ago, I would have pushed the room another foot wider, and put stud walls in front of the brick walls. We build double brick outer walls, in Perth Western Australia. My theatre room is, 6.5 x 4.5 mtrs with 30 course ceilings which is about 2.3 mtrs. I just bought a new Onkyo receiver TX-RZ70 , can’t wait to set it up and calibrate everything. But I’ve got a lot of work to do first. I’m re doing the room. Great video as usual, take care. Re Gary😊
@@Youthman thank you Michael. I must say, the Tombstone Theatre is brilliant as well, I’ve watched these two, a couple of times. Thanks again. Have a great day . Good night from Australia 😊
It’s theaters like this that make me want to have the money to do this one day. I don’t think I’ll ever have the money to do this, but I hope I can one day do something that will bring me as much joy as I’m sure this brings him!
@@Youthman My point was soley that it appears much larger on camera. I was surprised when you first mentioned in a video the dimensions of your room since it also appeared much larger than in reality.
Acoustically, the big room volume cubes and longer propagation distances, diminish the ratio of treated surfaces that's needed. The big volume is so beneficial. With all the stunning detail, countless irregular surfaces, much of the incident energy would exhibit scattering and breaking up of specular reflections, ... likely down into the several hundred hz range. Despite no dedicated trapping, all the mdf panels resonate and remove energy at varying levels/freqs. I can see them getting away without full range treatment ... while achieving perfectly enjoyable experience with stunning sound. This is such a special build. I've never met Mr Gerlach, however we've interacted extensively online ... I'm thinking if he tuned the system, he got the most out of that rig. So cool. Industrial Light and Magic would be impressed. Disney imagineers would be impressed. It's impressive.
Wow! I'm by no means a Star Wars fanatic, but i am definitely a Movie Fanatic, and that is by far the best and most perfect HT i have ever seen or could even imagine. If that was mine i would have a microwave, a fridge, and toilet in the same room, cause i would never leave it, EVER! Love the details the homeowner went into on what it took to contemplate and build something like that. Great video! AMAZING HT/home! Awesome homeowner! Keep up the great work, these videos help to inspire a lot of us!
The only thing that could take this to the next level is the end game Eclipse projector. That would make them space scenes in Star Wars as good as it gets. You did a great job with this one Youthman.
I can only wish my kids would love to help spend my money in helping build an insane theater - at even a fraction of the cost - doing it together is probably more rewarding than the end product. $1M or $1K - making the memories makes it worth it - whatever the cost! 100% ftw - props to hand fab and his boy's design skills!
