'Ware where the werewildlife roam, traveller!
I think The Witcher's mythology has created the most legitimate-sounding, in-depth lore on therianthropes, on non-werewolf anthropomorphic shapeshifters in general, of any fictional storytelling property that I know of. Certainly, for all of the non-werewolf (overused) varieties. It is the first IP I know of to use that non-lycanthrope "thrope" term regularly.
"A complicated ritual involving mushrooms" and self-sacrifice to still-living bodily consumption - oh, those whacky paganistic ceremonies.
On a side note, GDN: have you seen "The World of the Witcher", hardcover by Dark Horse Books? I bought it a few years ago, before playing The Witcher 3. A recommended, high-quality piece of physical reference and world-building merchandise ("as written by Dandelion" 😉).
Thank you again for continuing to enrich your online records on the bestial world of the Continent. May Melitele bless you, and Verna's alright too.

Oh boy now this is a topic I can seek my teeth in for sense am my classics guy definitely the werewolf I like but I also like the wear bear too
Another thing is in my Warhammer fantasy Homebrew I have the Wheretooth's especially make skaven Clan whos destiny is to save the skaven empire of an emergence of a new threat
For they can turn theirs into where rats for their clan leader Moontooth took the blood of a werewolf in Sylvania and with some arcane arts of the horned one he was able to make these clan members of his
But the skinwalker legends in real life could be just as terrifying like the werehyena the wendigo are Navajo skinwalker
I might slaughter the name but here it is the Naaldlooshii and finally Abze Firefly of South Africa
Yes the shapeshifter legends of Lore from The Witcher and real life myths and legends are so terrifying but cool and I can't wait to see the next video on the other shapeshifters of The Witcher for they are just as interesting too 😀👍

All is lost if they come up with werepigs or weregoats. All will be devoured.
